Thanks, I wanted to try to change it up and not have my updates look the same as always. Glad you liked it! And yeah, the results were definitely not good haha. The game definitely plays a little different and I am having to adjust to that. I also put it on legendary to start too so it will probably be a little longer of an adjustment period, but I think I am starting to get the hang of it. I really like the game though! Career mode seems a lot better with all of the new features they added.

        FIFA 16 - West Ham Season 1
        Budget - £34,00,000 (60% Perk)
Objectives - Finish Mid Table, Reach Round of 16 of Cup.
I decided to turn the first window of which I normally like to do anyway so their will be no business until January.

        Pre-Season Tournament - Champions Trophy
        West Ham 1 - 2 Ajax
        PSV 0 - 2 West Ham
        West Ham 0 - 0 Chieveo Verona

Pre-Season wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. I obviously wanted to win the tournament but the we had what would eventually be the 2 finalists in our group in PSV and winners Ajax so we knew it was guna be tough. However, Pre-Season is all about trying new things and building fitness so I was to displeased to go out so early. I learnt a lot about the team and have found what formations work and who will be starting the opening game of the season.

        Manager's Thoughts
The League - I have been really pleased with how we have started in the league. We have made ourselves hard to beat not only at Upton Park but also on our travels as well with our only loss on the road this season coming against Manchester City and only home defeat against the Champions Chelsea, which is a game we probably should have got something from after missing 2 penalties, Courtois guessing right both times. We have real pace and power in the side and a lot of teams are struggling to handle it with the combination of Payet, Moses and Sakho causing all sorts of problems for defenders. We currently sit in 2nd place which realistically we know we will struggle to maintain but we will enjoy it whilst it lasts and with the form we are in at the moment, who knows. We have the best defensive record in the league at the moment, only conceding 6 in the league which is the reason we are so hard to beat. A special shout out to Adrian who has been in outstanding form this season and when you have a goalkeeper this good, it makes your job that little bit easier. This is the reason we are so hard to beat, looking at the opening 2 away games to Arsenal and Liverpool where we managed to keep 2 clean sheets and it gave us the chance to maybe get something from the game which happened against Liverpool so I am especially pleased with that.
The Cup - We have been putting a strong team out for the cup so it shows our intent to take the tournament seriously. We sailed through the first round comfortably with a 2-0 victory over Barnet. Several first team players have been missing in the cup but its a strong team nevertheless with the likes of Carroll, Jelavic, Antonio and Tomkins all starting, players who would walk into most teams which shows the strength in depth we have. We then beat Birmingham 2-1 in a game which to be honest, we were lucky to win. Birmingham had all of the chances and were unlucky to find themselves 2-0 down but Adrian was in outstanding form yet again and we managed to hold out for the victory. Swansea were next up in the first test of the competition so far. Both teams had strong teams out and again we managed to take a 2-0 lead but again we were lucky to maintain that lead after Swansea missed a penalty and had a free kick cleared off the line by Cresswell but we are through to the next round and that is the main thing. Now we have a Semi Final tie set up against Chelsea which will be tough and they already hold a win over us this season, but it should be a good game and hopefully one in which we win.
Standout Performers - I would have to say the player who has stood out the most so far has got to be Adrian. With 5 clean sheets from 10 games and only conceding 6 goals he has been a revelation in this early part to the season. He is one of the main reasons we have started so well and progressed so far in the cup. He has been making save after save and if he keeps this up surely a spain call up awaits him. The front three of Payet, Moses and Sakho have been a handful most prehaps most suprising of all the players is Mark Noble who as managed 4 goals this season. Mr.West Ham has been a solid performer and has formed a real good partnership with Alex Song in recent weeks and has been everywhere getting forward, winning tackle and setting up attacks. I couldn't ask anymore of him. On a worrying note now, our strikers havent been scoring as many as I would have liked most natably, Diafrak Sakho who is yet to score in the league even though his perfromances have been top draw. as it stands now I think if he continues the way he is the goals will come but we may have to evaluate close to January if there hasnt been any change in the situation.

        Barclays Premier League Table

        1. Chelsea 26pts
        2. West Ham 20pts
        3. Man City 19pts
        4. Man Utd 18pts
        5. Spurs 18pts
        6. Arsenal 16pts
        ------------
        17. A.Villa 8pts
        18. Leicster 8pts
        19. Newcastle 6pts
        20. Bournemouth 4pts

I like the transfers, they are the kind of ones Wenger should have done IRL so they should be a hit. Fairly Ok results, Palace looked like your best game, shame to lose in the Champions League but Bayern are in the top 3 teams in Europe so I wouldn't get too disheartened about it. One piece of advice, centre more of the post, like the match scores etc, just looks better.

Nice choice in West Ham, they have made some great signings this year. The league and COC has started really well. 5 Clean sheets in 10 for Adrian is great so far. You should hopefully end up in at least the Europa League this year. Btw, have you ever thought of adding a badge? Would enhance the post!

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

            Ha Ho He

            Transfers Out

Nils-Jonathan Körber, 52 Ovr, 18 Years Old, 2-Year Loan to Portsmouth

Reason: Wouldn't get any playing time.

Florian Kohls, 56 Ovr, 20 Years Old, 2-Year Loan to Newport County

Reason: Wouldn't get any playing time.

Ronny, 72 Ovr, 29 Years Old, €2,500,000 to Werder Bremen

Reason: Wasn't needed in the team.

Julian Schieber, 75 Ovr, 26 Years Old, €7,200,000 to Montpellier

Reason: Large amount of money for a third-choice striker.

            Transfers In

            Timothy Castagne

71 Ovr, Right Back, 19 Years Old, Belgium

            €3,500,000

Hertha BSC completed two youngster signings under their "new" managers. The first of them was the Belgian defensive talent Timothy Castagne, who arrived for €3,5 million from the Belgian club Genk. The speedy 19-year-old has played for Belgium's different youngster levels and he's currently part of the U-21s. Castagne is expected to be a back-up to Hertha's vice-captain Peter Pekarik.

            Leroy Sane

70 Ovr, Left Midfielder, 19 Years Old, Germany

            €4,250,000

The second player who was signed by Hertha Berlin this window was a very exciting signing for the fans. Leroy Sane, one of the biggest German attacking talents and gems, joined the capital's club for only four million euros from fellow Bundesliga side Schalke 04. Sane is well known for his speed and dribbling and he will certainly get many opportunities in Berlin.

            Pre-Season Tournament

Hertha BSC 1 - 0 Deportivo la Coruña
            Stocker 74'

Our English pre-season tournament started off with a dull 1-0 win against the Spanish Deportivo la Coruña. Both sides defended well and at the end Valentin Stocker's curling shot was enough to secure the three points in our group.

            Rayo Vallecano 1 - 1 Hertha BSC
            Manucho 45'
            Haraguchi 68'

The second game of our pre-season was against another Spanish side, this time in the form of Rayo Vallecano. This game was much tougher than the Deportivo one and we went down by a goal right before the break. Luckily Genki Haraguchi managed to equalise in the 68th minute with a shot into the top right corner.

            Hertha BSC 0 - 0 AFC Sunderland

We had already secured our place in the semi-finals but I still wanted a good result from the game. That did not happen as we failed to score a goal in this dull encounter.

            Semi Final
            Levante UD (6) 0 - 0 (7) Hertha BSC, After Penalties

We failed to score in a second consecutive game against a team that should be losing to us. The highlights of the game were Änis Ben-Hatira and Johannes van den Bergh's injuries for three and two months, respectively. The penalty shootout was an exciting one and one it to face Leicester City in the final.

            Final
            Hertha BSC (9) 1 - 1 (8) Leicester City, After Penalties
            Ibisevic 68'
            Drinkwater 53'

The final of the tournament was another game that could be added to our streak of dull games. Leicester took the lead in the 53rd minute when Danny Drinkwater shot the ball into the bottom right corner of the net. Fifteen minutes later Vedad Ibisevic scored his first goal for the club with a tap in. Then the penalty shootout started and it was full of drama. Alexander Baumjohann's penalty number two secured the trophy and additional three million for us.

            August 2015

            FC Augsburg 1 - 0 Hertha BSC
            Altintop 23'

The league season started off in terrible fashion for us. We were expecting a tough but rewarding game against Augsburg but tht wasn't the case as Halil Altintop slotted the ball into the top left corner after going around our centre backs.

            Hertha BSC 3 - 0 Werder Bremen
            Kalou 17' pen, 42', Ibisevic 84'

Our home opener went in much better fashion compared to the season opener. Werder didn't stand a chance as Kalou got a brace and Ibisevic scored the third goal. We defended and attacked well in this game.

            Borussia Dortmund 0 - 0 Hertha BSC

Unlike the scoreline may suggest, this was an interesting game. We were very solid in defence and Thomas Kraft had a good game as our last line of defence. Unfortunately Salomon Kalou hit the post once and missed a penalty in the first half. A draw from Dortmund is still a great result.

            Bundesliga Table

            1. VfB Stuttgart, 9 pts
            2. FC Schalke 04, 7 pts
            3. Bayern München, 7 pts
            4. VfL Wolfsburg, 7 pts
            5. FC Augsburg, 6 pts

OkDoei's Arsenal FC Career Mode. Season 1.

More Arsenal games! We found some form in this run of games, and we're collecting points on a consistent level now.

              Chelsea 2 – 1 Arsenal

              18’ Özil 0 – 1
              73’ Hazard 1-1 (Penalty Kick)
              90+’ Koscielny 2 – 1 (O.G.)

              Match Report:

Chelsea parked the bus for 70 minutes and got a lucky penalty kick when Koscielny handled the ball near his own goal. On top of that we didn’t defend at all at the last corner kick which resulted in Costa shooting the ball against Koscielny. The ball ended up the in net when Koscielny tried to clear it.

              Arsenal 5 – 1 Burnley

              Simulated

              Leicester 0 – 1 Arsenal

              18’ Icardi 0 – 1

              Match Report:

The B team played this match, and I expected an easy win. Leicester gave us quite the game though, so I’m happy with the three points. Icardi is slowly starting to pick up some form.

              Arsenal 1 – 0 Olympiakos
              (Champion’s League group stage)

              24’ Alexis 1 – 0
              41’ Mertesacker red card

              Match Report:

Alexis finally scored again after 9 games without any goals. He’s a bit tired because he has had little rest when he returned from the Copa America. He’ll pick up his form, though. I’m sure of that.

              Arsenal 1 – 0 Manchester United

              5’ Walcott 1 – 0

              Match Report:

This should’ve been an easier win for us. We dominated United at our home turf. I’m happy with the three points and another clean sheet.

              Watford 0 – 2 Arsenal

              73’ Icardi 0 – 1
              83’ Britos 0 – 2 (O.G.)

              Match Report:
The B squad played this match. They did very well, they waited patiently and passed the ball around until they were able to break Watford’s defence down. Icardi is starting to show his worth now, I’m really happy with that

              PSV 0 – 2 Arsenal
              (Champion's League groups stage)

              4’ Moreno red card
              4’ Alexis 0 – 1 (Penalty Kick)
              78’ Walcott 0 – 2

              Match Report:

The red card in the 4th minute made it a lot harder for us. We scored the penalty, but PSV defended with 10 men afterwards. Tough match, but we were able to crack the nut once more when Walcott scored yet another goal.

              Arsenal 1 – 0 Everton

              84’ Cazorla 1 – 0 (Penalty Kick)

              Match Report:

This was a deserved win. Even the commentators agreed on the fact that Everton parked the bus from the first minute. I’m happy with the deserved penalty that we got. Walcott got absolutely destroyed in the 16 yard box, and that was a penalty kick in every aspect. I’m happy with the result and yet another clean sheet. Our defence is sublime and really in form at the moment.

              Swansea City 1 – 3 Arsenal

              39’ Walcott 0 – 1
              43’ Gomis 1 – 1
              50’ Icardi 1 – 2
              72’ Özil 1 – 3

              Match Report:

Wow, we displayed our best match so far. We were nearly perfect in every aspect of the game. Too bad of the Gomis goal, but I’m very happy with the attacking forces. Icardi scored again, he’s really showing his potential. If he keeps going on like this I have no other option but to select him in the starting eleven.

              Arsenal 2 – 0 Bayern Munich
              (Champion's League groups stage)

              65’ Giroud 1 – 0
              89’ Alexis 2 – 0

              Match Report:

I think that we shocked quite some football fans tonight. We showed the world how dominant we can play, and how dangerous we can be when we dominate possession. Bayern Munich was very tough to play against, and their attack creates constant fear and danger. We solved this in the most perfect way, when Giroud left Benatia for dead in an arial duel as he headed us to a 1 – 0 lead. I’m very satisfied with this result. We’re in the first place in our group now, and we just need to win our remaining games to maintain our position.

              Arsenal 2 – 2 Tottenham Spurs

              13’ Icardi 1 – 0
              21’ Kane 1 – 1
              48’ Santi Cazorla 2 – 1
              61’ Cech 2 – 2 (O.G.)
              90+’ Ramsey red card

              Match Report:

To be honest, credits have to be given to Spurs. I know that this is the derby between Arsenal and Tottenham, but they played very well and gave us the toughest match so far. Yes, even tougher than the first game against Bayern Munich. They defended really well, and Lloris stopped every shot. I’m happy enough with a shared point, since both of the teams deserved to win today.

              West Bromwich Albion 0 – 1 Arsenal

              8’ Santi Cazorla 0 – 1

              Match Report:

We’re on a roll in the competition. We’re second behind Chelsea with the best defensive record. We’re still a bit nervous in the final third, but I’m not too worried about that. Our strikers need a bit more confidence to start performing on a consistent level.

That's that! We picked up some form and actually won most of our games. We displayed a masterclass of attacking football against Swansea City, and we displayed a masterclass in finishing against Bayern Munich. I'm excited to see how far we can go with this squad!

              Stay tuned!

Interesting signings! Espescially the signing of Sané. Suprising to see how you got a promising talent to sign for Herta BSC. He'll do just fine for you, I'm sure of that You smashed that pre-season tournament and you made a decent start in the BuLi. Looks like a promising season!

Wow, you absolutely smashed that pre-season tournament, haha! Loved your result against Mansfield. Scoring 5 goals away from home is brilliant. Your start to the new season seems to be just fine. Unfortunately you got beaten by Stoke in the Capital One Cup, but their squad is very strong this year. But, your squad looks strong enough to win the League 2. Keep it up!

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

...So after playing some more games I just have to blow off some steam. Fifa 16 is very broken in my eyes.

Lets start off with some of my players. Özil feels like utter sh*t. He feels like a 65 rated player, if not less.

Alexis feels like a 49 rated player. He's too small to do anything, his long shots hit Row Z, and his crossing is mediocre at best.

The reason that both of those players feel so sh*t is because dribbling has been nerfed to the point where it's basically useless. Doing a roulette? Well then, here's the ball running away from you. Doing a fake shot? Well, here's your player simply turning and stopping whilst your opponent freely moves around and takes the ball off you. Simply want to try and dribble past opponents with close control on the ball like you could on Fifa 15? No way mate, all those midfielders from Watford turn into Busquets and Vidal.

Cazorla feels terrible when dribbling, and he's probably my best dribbler. Walcott should be the fastest player off this game, right? No way, Ivanovic catches up to him on a sprint over the length of the pitch. Koscielny? Goes missing every match simply because he's useless.

They've nerfed pace, which is a good thing. But pace is basically useless now. Bellerin is supposed to be lightning fast. Well, I saw Lambert outrunning him. Wtf?

On top of that, I should be murdering defenders when starting to dribble with Alexis, or be able to turn lightning fast with Cazorla. But no, Steven friggin' Fletcher pulls of multiple skills including flicking the ball of my defenders before calmly passing it to a teammate 40 yards away. Well done EA.

The only way to win this game is by passing, that's what I've read on multiple forums and subreddits. Well, how is it possible that some of my players don't react to passes or to loose balls? Or that Wilshere isn't able to pass a ball to a player 10 yards away? Ugh..

The last thing that annoys me so much is that the referee seems to support every team that you play against. Whenever I touch a player, even if I just breath the air of an opponent, I get either a free kick against me or a straight yellow card. But the opponent can calmly try to murder Walcott and simply walk away with that. I've had players getting injuries through tackles which didn't even get penalized.

EA just copied and pasted Fifa 15 and added some random stuff to it. It really feels like that to me. Oh, and scripts are still very alive in this game. Still behind a goal around the 70th minute? Well, good luck getting the ball or creating any change...

Sorry for this rant, just really needed to share my expierence with Fifa 16 with you guys. I'm not happy at all with it. I rate it 6.5/10.

                  /Rant off.

I disagree with every point. This FIFA in my opinion is the best that has been in a long time. It plays and feels like real football. An emphasis on passing, not every long shot fly's in, you can't dribble past every player. I think you haven't got used to not being able to dribble everywhere. Give it time. However, I understand it is your opinion and this is just mine.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

@OkDoei - Those are some decent signings and seem really realistic as well. Rabiot was amazing for me on the last game so I'm excited to see how good he is on 16. Loaning Welbeck out was a bit of a shock, what was the reason for that?
You have picked up some good form of late and I'm glad I'm not the only one who's strikers don't seem to be doing anything but hopefully that changes for us both soon.

@Simppu12 - Good to see the return of Hertha. You got a good bit of money for Schieber, he was one of those players for some reason I just didn't like even going back to Dortmund, I don't know why either. You have a good signing in Sane, should have some amazing potential and I would say you got him for a decent price as well.
A bit of a mixed start to the season but bounced back well from the opening day defeat and got a good draw at Dortmund. What is your aim for the season? I look forward to the next update.

@Lethalfish - Good choice for a long term career. Luton have a decent budget for league 2 and made some good signings in thr summer especially in Dan Potts and Mackail-Smith. You are building a nice squad and made good use of the loan market, brining in some talented youngsters. With the team you have I would hope you will be up there come the end of the season.
You had some big scorelines especially an opening day 5-1 win, couldn't ask for a better start, although Shame about the injury to Teixeira.

I respect your opinion, and I wrote that rant when I was in full anger mode, haha . I understand the new approach that FIFA is promoting now. No more long balls to the pacey wingers and the op striker, but controlled play and patient players. I understand that, and I like the concept.

BUT... When I'm not even able to perform any kind of dribble with either Alexis, Özil, or Santi simply because the ball has a mind of his own, well that's something that I've read on different forums now. Dribbling is really weird, and it surely needs some time to get used to. But I should be able to demolish the left back from Olympiakos with Alexis, right? But it's genuinely very hard to basically leave a defender for dead on this game. And if you finally do so, they usually get back in position so fast, because pace doesn't really matter anymore.

I do favor this realistic style of play over the arcade and fantasy-like football that pes 2016 is turning out to be. Man, I've seen videos where people score long shots for days, dribble past 37 men, and score 8 rabona's in one game. So FIFA is the more realistic game this year, which is great.

But at the same time I for instance play against a Watford team which string passes together like they're Barcelona in disguise. It's little things like this that annoys me and really takes the realistic feeling away from me.

It's probably just me getting used to the newest FIFA, but it surely requires a lot of patience at the beginning. I'm having problems to understand how players like Alexis and Özil feel so useless and underpowered. I've had this problem with Özil for quite some time now, in previous FIFA's as well. He's a player whom glides past players and has great vision and the ability to pick world class passes. Yet on FIFA he feels underpowered. His long shots are worthless, he's not a finisher in any aspect. His passes feel like any other player, and his dribbling as said before is nothing special. It probably depends on the way how you play this game.

I just hope that FIFA 16 will become as entertaining and as fun to play as I expierenced with FIFA 15.

Those are some interesting points. Have you tried double or triple tapping the right stick while dribbling? It allows players like Alexis to use their full pace to get clear. Also, I recommend passing around the final third until a gap in the defence is created. Also, try using the driven pass, I've found it very useful in chance creation in FUT, Career Mode and Seasons.

I loaned Welbeck out because he's only rated at 79 at the start, and I feel like I wouldn't play him enough. I brought in Icardi pretty early on, who is a better striker and finisher. Giroud is a great back up striker, since he's very tall and excellent to throw crosses at. I have Alexis and Walcott who can play in the ST role as well.

Welbeck grew to an 81 so far when playing for Everton, so he'll be included in my squad for next season. Maybe I'll try and make a formation which includes Icardi as striker and Welbeck as false striker just behind him. Possibilities...

Thanks for your fast reply! I've been trying around with the driven pass and driven long pass, actually. I do like it, and it turns Santi and Wilshere into feared midfielders. They can pass those balls with pin point accuracy and power as well, and when they receive one of those bad boys they're lightning quick to turn around their defenders. But I'm still having problems with other players and driven passes.

About using the right stick; it works with Walcott because he's just 100% pace. But with any other player I get caught up by either the CB or the fullback. I usually have more success when calmly sprinting and anticipating the fullback's tackles.

Again, thanks for the fast reply! And I appreciate your feedback, always good to read up on new tips.
