How do you guys decide who to sell/buy in the summer? I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out which players I want to keep, and I'm determined to keep this save going. Do you build depth and then pick the best to make your first team, or do you actively strengthen the first team and then acquire depth with whatever you have left? What sort of strategy do you guys use? I'm very curious to know.

In regards to selling, usually it's the older players that are falling behind in ratings or are unhappy with their playtime, want an increase in wages but don't warrant it with their performances.
Once my squad depth is decent I'll try to get one or two big names in the following seasons.Comment

Obviously their performance
Contracts
Depth at that position (can I live with him gone/next player up)
How much the offer is
Are they still developing
Sometimes the offer is too good to pass up. I had an offer with my Milan squad for Domenico Berardi for twice his value (48 mil euros) Even though he was/is one of my better players on the team that's good value for someone whose stats aren't improving.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Hi guys, I'm sorry that I haven't posted anything in a long time but I have been very busy with school and with being ill these last couple of weeks. I'm reading through everything and I will hopefully manage to leave you some feedback in the next few days.
What I want to know is which of these teams you'd prefer to see in my new career mode as I'm stopping the Hertha career after this season, mainly due to Salomon Kalou and Vedad Ibisevic retiring. Without them the team just doesn't feel the same and it loses the Hertha feel. I'd appreciate it a lot if you could leave a vote!

Squad Report
Cardiff City Player of the Season
Rubén Blanco
The young Spanish stopper is very deserving of this award as he kept a clean sheet every other game this season, including 19 in the Premier League contributing massively to our sixth placed finish. The 21 year old was an integral part of a defence that only conceded 25 times in the entire season. With his best years still ahead of him, Cardiff fans will no doubt hope their club can hold onto the keeper in the midst of the many bids that will arrive in the summer.
Season Review
Sixth was more than we could have hoped for at the beginning of the year and that is down to our impressive defence, which conceded the least amount of goals in the league. That was very satisfying but we also struggled to score on many an occasion and it is something we will look to improve upon this coming season. Getting all the way to another FA Cup final was an amazing achievement and while Arsenal outclassed us on the day, I'm very proud of the lads. Our Europa League campaign was slightly disappointing, going out in the group stage but I believe we showed great fight in the way we battled until the final game and very nearly did go through. With a little extra depth we can build on the experience and go one step further this year.
Rubén (Blanco) was central to our good form and is one of the main players in this team at a very young age, we hope to have him for a very long time. Peter (Whittingham) also performed very well this season and finished as our top scorer for the second season running, an incredible feat for a midfielder and it just shows how much he contributes to the team. Adam (Henley) and Jeffrey (Bruma) both had stellar starts to their Cardiff careers in defence while Daniel (Amartey) was nearly ever present in midfield. Benik (Afobe) after a tough start, picked up his form and started to score important goals. Sam (Vokes) on the other hand had a poor season, especially considering his 19 goals fired us to promotion last year. Kelechi (Iheanacho) got another season of good growth under his belt and while he may not have scored as much as last year, as he played more on the wing, he still contributed to the team with assists and his pace.
Thanks for Reading! What do you guys think of the season?Comment

How do you guys decide who to sell/buy in the summer? I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out which players I want to keep, and I'm determined to keep this save going. I always look to having at least one backup for each player on the pitch, once I have got that, I identify what areas im strongest/weakest in and then once the window opens, I look for first team players in can fill the weakest positions and stay away from any other positions. Once I do that I find I have a solid core of a team. Once I have a team with enough depth I look to purchasing the big names and wonderkids.
There will be times where you'll recieve an offer for someone that you really cannot refuse! There's been many of times where a really high bid has been offered for one of my star players and I'll try to tease even more money from the club and they'll surprisingly accept; that's happened a lot with me and I end up thinking 'oops, how the hell am I going to replace this guy! Although...i DO have a lot of money!'
Hope this helps! I always like chatting about this stuff for some reason :PLast edited by 10cabee; 03-30-2016, 11:55 AM.Current FIFA Careers:

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
I did a Bilbao CM in '14 and it was difficult trying to implement Basque only. It should be easier in '16 since the Youth Academy is better.
I'm also doing a Milan one now and I love it although it's bit easy because they have a decent amount of cash to spend. The initial roster is a disaster though, lol.Last edited by KG; 03-30-2016, 04:29 PM.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Season 1
December 2015
Season Objectives:
The Domestic Cup objective is to reach the Round of 16.
The League objective qualify for the European Cup.
BPL Match
Newcastle 1 - 0 Liverpool
Doumbia 4’
MOTM Krul
We got off to a good start but after this game it is hard to understand why Liverpool are so far down the table. They didn't make many mistakes and were good attacking wise the only thing i could see being their problem is starting Bogdan over Mignolet. That is what proved to be their fatal flaw as early as the fourth minute when Bogdan didn't even jump for a ball right over his head and Doumbia was able to jump over him and capitalize.
Doumbia’s goal.
BPL Match
Tottenham 1 - 2 Newcastle
Wijnaldum 8’ 16’
Vertonghen 89’
MOTM Wijnaldum
Wijnaldum had a fantastic game and he scored two goals early on. His first game from a through ball that Doumbia played and he was able to place the ball through the goalkeepers legs. His second goal was provided by Doumbia as well. Doumbia crossed the ball to Wijnaldum who volleyed in from close range. Spurs pulled one back through Vertonghen who pushed up in the last few minutes and was able to get on the end of a cross with his head.
Wijnaldum’s first goal.
BPL Match
Newcastle 4 - 2 Aston Villa
Doumbia 23’ 74’ 82’
Veretout 85’
Okore 88’
Wijnaldum 90’
MOTM Doumbia
A game we dominated and I thought we had it in the bag then I got scared at the end. I really thought they might get a point until Wijnaldum scored to increase our lead at the end. Doumbia scored off a shot that Guzan parried. Our second and third goals were both goals that Doumbia ran on too. We scored our last goal when Wijnaldum was able to dribble past Guzan and walk into the net. This was the first time we have had someone score a hat trick this season.
BPL Match
Newcastle 1 - 2 Everton
McCarthy 11’
Doumbia 61’
Lukaku 87’
MOTM Krul
I don't think we have been dominated like this in any game this season. McCarthy hit a screamer early on and i could just tell it was going to be a bad game. Doumbia scored a lucky goal off a deflection that sent Howard the wrong way. Lukaku scored the winner after he pushed Taylor off the ball and beared down on goal and shot upper 90. We were lucky score one and only concede two.
Krul making a save.
BPL Match
West Bromwich Albion 1 - 1 Newcastle
Perez 11’
Anichebe 13’
MOTM Perez
An exciting first 15 minutes but after that the game died down and not many chances were created. Perez was able to run onto a through ball and slot past the keeper. Straight from kickoff though West Brom pushed forward and scored an equalizer.
Perez celebrating his goal.
I forgot to get a picture of the table sorry.
