Would you really think of selling Timo? What would be the price you would put on him? Also, really like the formatting to your updates, perhaps I will steal a few ideas??

Texasbum: Sad to see the FA cup run come to an end. Though making it that far is great for an experience point of view. What a playoff run! Wow those two games must have been exciting. Congratulations on the promotion! Does this mean there might be a big signing coming for the new Premier League season? Or will you try building with youth academy and younger talent?

Sportsfreak96: Nice to see you back with the updates! And in first place leading the two powerhouses. How is

Serge Gnabry working out for you? I just received him on loan in my Hull season and in 2 games I am really happy with his style.

Breaking News as Josh4 accepts the position of United States National Team manager. A shocking offer from team USA to Josh as he's barely a season into his first management position.

"I know I'm still a rookie manager but I always said there are only two offers I would never turn down and one of them was team USA. We have a lot of good players and a nice mix of young and old players to work with. I'm excited to get started."

Gnabry is my unsung hero in a way. He seems to always come through for me when I'm struggling in a game. For example in that Supercup 2nd leg I was down 1-0 at halftime I brought him on and He scores a brace in about 20 minutes.

Veteran midfielder Georgi Peev led the charge for Amkar Perm in November as the Red and Blacks finally began finding the back of the net in consecutive 4-1 wins over FC Rostov and FC Ural Sverdlovsk Oblast. The legendary Bulgarian, who has been at Amkar since 2007, scored the game-winning goal in both matches, while also picking up a Man of the Match honor for his showing against FC Rostov. Peev's cool penalty taking was also on display in his conversion against FC Ural.

      Manager's Thoughts
November started off with a heartbreaking loss to FC Ufa as they caught us on the counter in the 88th minute, and Marvin
Pourié buried a shot past Evgeniy Pomazan. That was a really tough result for us as I felt we controlled play for the most part. Instead of sulking, we finally found our scoring touch scoring 8 goals over the next 2 matches in identical 4-1 wins versus FC Rostov and FC Ural. Georgi Peev displayed great veteran leadership from the midfield, and Alexandr Salugin netted 3 goals from his striker position. The uptick in form has us in the top half of the table and sitting only 3 points outside of a Europa League spot.

      December 2015 - Fixtures
      12/6 - vs Lokomotiv
      12/12 - at Kuban
      12/19 - at Spartak

The 2015 calendar year closes out in a big way as we play 3 vital matches against Lokomotiv Moscow, Kuban Krasnodar, and Spartak Moscow. Currently we trail both Lokomotiv and Spartak in the league, and we're trying to hold off Kuban. All 3 contests will be tough to get results, but I'll pin my hopes on getting a result at home and stealing one on the road.

        The Globetrotter CM

2018 World Cup & '18-'19 Summer Transfer Window Update

We were joined by Italy, Czech Republic, and China in our group.

        Group Match 1
        Venezuela - Czech Republic (0-1)
        Dočkal 50'

In a game that was held hostage in the middle of the field between the boxes it was Dočkal who made the difference after a save by Dani Hernández deflected towards the Czech midfielder. The European squad put on a clinic defensively, suffocating any Venezuelan scoring attempt and holding them to just 2 shots, neither one on goal, while they managed to put 4 of their 5 shots on goal.

        Group Match 2
        Venezuela - Italy (3-3)
        Del Valle 5' (pen)
        Del Valle 34' (pen)

        Vázquez 38'
        Juanpi 45+' (S. Rondon)
        El Shaarawy 55'
        Giovinco 79'

So close. We played one of the most inspired games we've played since I took over as HC of my country but we couldn't turn a couple of 2-goal advantages into 3 points as the star attackers of the Azurri made up the difference. This was a tough defeat for many reasons as going into the final group match with just a point isn't ideal give the fact Czech Republic beat China and therefore clinched their ticket to the next round and we'll need a hell of a performance to tie Italy in points assuming they don't win or draw against the current group leader.

        Group Match 3
        China - Venezuela (2-1)
        Del Valle 13' (Juanpi)
        Zhang Xizhe 24'
        Gao Lin 72'

We wrap up a highly disappointing World Cup debut with a baffling loss against the Asian nation who seemed destined for a beatdown in the first 15 minutes of the game but who weathered the storm thereafter and eventually shocked us. We were aggressive in the attack through the game but couldn't score more on 9 shots (6 on target).

After that tough experience in the beginning of the summer it was time to move on to Turkey. We had a successful first season at Kayserispor but expectations from the fan base, the board, and the pundits will be higher and we want to meet them and perhaps even exceed them. The first shock of the season came in the form of the wages provided by the board. After getting $8.5 million in transfer budget and $30K in wages a season ago, this season we were only given $7 million in transfer budget and $35K in wages. I was not pleased with this and let the board know about it and they provided bit extra but it'll be important to have a good pre-season to earn some extra funds. The roster now fits the 4-4-2 diamond wide I like to run but there are still adjustments to be made.

        TRANSFERS

OUT: Güray Fırat (CB, 64 OVR), sold to DSC Arminia Bielefeld for $600K. Srđan Mijailović (CDM, 71 OVR), sold to FC Augsburg for $3 million.

IN: Anthony Maisonnial (GK, 69 OVR), acquired from AS Saint-Étienne for $2.5 million. Ezequiel Ponce (ST, 71 OVR), acquired from Roma for $2.25 million. Diego Jara Rodrigues aka "Diego" (LB, 71 OVR), acquired from Joinville Esporte Clube for $2 million. Kofi Allen (RW, 70 OVR), acquired from Dorados for $1.8 million. Jonas Durmisi (CB, 65 OVR), acquired on a one-year loan from Fenerbahçe . Sinan Gümüş (RM, 72 OVR), acquired on one-year loan from Galatasaray.

        Transfer Window Recap

As shown above I decided to spread the wealth around instead of making a big signing. However, many of the acquisitions will have an opportunity to be difference-makers for us. Maisonnial's arrival immediately creates a battle for the starter at GK. Ponce pushes Yakubu down the picking order at striker and should be the first option off the bench, which should get him a good amount of opportunities since Peñaranda's stamina is pretty low. Diego does more than provide a good option off the bench at LB, he'll get a chance to take over Tiger's spot in the starting lineup. Finally, Allen is an academy-product from my time at Dorados who is "showing great potential" and provides good depth for us at the wide midfield positions. The loanees will provide some of the depth will need this season. The only regret is not being able to work a deal with Kaan Ayaan after FC Schalke 04 agreed to let him go for $5 million. Wage negotiations started at $50K and went as high as $65K but Ayaan kept wanting more and we were already pushing our budget to make the deal happen. Maybe we can re-visit the conversations with the German club in the winter.

And that's all for this update. July/August are already wrapped up so that update will follow soon. Thanks for reading!

Ben Alnwick is on of those players who plays above his rating (He is a captain in Real life!) also to be fair our defence has been solid throughout the pre-season and held up against Millwall!, yeh £2,000,000 seems like nothing compared to some other career modes but i enjoy building this squad from the ground up so i have too make smart buisness decisions to maximise my funds!!, Glad you enjoyed the mailbag section figured since everyone else was showing there faces I would join in for a surprise! gotta say it's nerve racking putting your face out there...Really appreciate you watching, and everyone else who has watched so far!

            Transfers Out

Philip Heise, Left Back, 69 Ovr, 2-year-loan to Sturm Graz

The 24-year-old left back hadn't played a single game for us this season and he was never going to break into the starting eleven with Maximilian Mittelstädt and Emiliano Insua in front of him in the pecking order.

Arianit Ferati, Attacking Midfielder, 64 Ovr, 1-year-loan to RB Salzburg

This youngster has a good potential but he also doesn't get to play for us because he isn't good enough yet. A loan will do him well.

Marvin Wanitzek, Attacking Midfielder, 62 Ovr, €500,000 to Sturm Graz

Wanitzek has a poor overall and a poor potential and, consequently, he wasn't needed at the club.

Timo Werner, Striker, 75 Ovr, €19,500,000 to VfL Wolfsburg

Our biggest deal of the winter was selling our biggest gem and star Timo Werner. The 19-year-old was simply too good for a second-division team and Wolfsburg were willing to match his price tag of at least €19M, which is three times more than his market value.

            Transfers In

            Tobias Kempe

74 Ovr, Right Midfielder, 26 Years Old, Germany

            Bosman Signing

VfB Stuttgart are on the verge of gaining promotion to Germany's top division while SV Darmstadt 98 are at the bottom of the table in the first division. Because of this it is easy to understand why right midfielder Tobias Kempe chose to sign a contract with Stuttgart. The 26-year-old will join Die Roten in the summer after his contract with Darmstadt expires. Kempe is an all-rounded winger who belongs to a family of footballers with his brother playing for Karlsruher and his father previously playing for several clubs in Germany, including Stuttgart.

            Bobby Wood

71 Ovr, Striker, 23 Years Old, United States

            €2,500,000

After Timo Werner was sold to VfL Wolfsburg, Stuttgart needed to find a replacement for him in the last two days of the transfer window. The second-league leaders decided to go after American striker Bobby Wood, who terrorised defences for Union Berlin last season, scoring 17 league goals in the process. The 23-year-old then earned a transfer to top-tier team Hamburger SV in the summer but now he will return to the Bundesliga 2. after a lack of playing time. Wood is a fast and talented striker who also possesses good dribbling and finishing abilities.

            January 2017

            1. FC Heidenheim 1 - 1 VfB Stuttgart
            Beermann 90'
            Kostic 23'

This was a disappointing draw as we threw it away in stoppage time. Our attackers had a lot of chances but they failed to convert them and as we know, when that happens the opposition will find a way to get back into the game.

            Bundesliga 2. Table

            1. VfB Stuttgart, 42 pts
            2. VfL Bochum, 34 pts
            3. Hannover 96, 34 pts
            4. Arminia Bielefeld, 33 pts
            5. FC St. Pauli, 28 pts
            6. Union Berlin, 28 pts
            ----------------------------------------
            16. MSV Duisburg, 19 pts
            17. FSV Frankfurt, 17 pts
            18. 1. FC Nürnberg, 14 pts

            Starting XI

            My Thoughts

            Transfers -
So it happened, we did sell Timo Werner. We received many offers for our attacking gem but Wolfsburg was the only team willing to match our valuation. I didn't really want to sell him but, again, in the name of making this career a little bit more realistic, I decided to sell him. Who knows, we might try to re-sign him in the summer. Additionally, we received quite a few offers for Maxim but not a single team wanted to match our demands. Interestingly, not a single offer was received for Kostic.

I made offers for around five players when looking for Werner's replacement and after some thinking and comparing I decided that Bobby Wood would be the best option. He didn't get to play a lot and HSV were in the bottom five. We should also get promoted this season so half a season in the second division shouldn't be too bad for him.

As far as signing Kempe goes, I just wanted to have another option on the wings next season. It was a tough choice between Kempe and Konstantin Rausch of Köln, but Kempe's side was lower in the table so I decided to go for him. Even if the signing doesn't work out, we will be able to sell him for huge profit as he is arriving for free.

Results - Thanks to the winter break of the Bundesliga we had to play only one game in January, and it didn't go too well. We conceded in stoppage time against a solid Heidenheim team to drop two points but luckily that wasn't important as we still have an eight-point lead.

Thank you for reading this post! I hope you have enjoyed it! Any feedback or suggestions will be appreciated!

              FIFA 16 - Season 3

              The Blades

              Summer Transfer Window

              Transfers Out

CM, Paul Coutts, Scotland, 29 yrs old, 69 OVR - £675,000 to Charlton Athletic
GK, George Long, England, 23 yrs old, 68 OVR - £1,500,000 to Brighton & Hove Albion
CM, Tom Linley, England, 17 yrs old, 64 OVR - Loaned to Birmingham City
LM, Callum McFadzean, Scotland, 23 yrs old, 63 OVR - Loaned to Oldham Athletic
LW, Greg Pedroza, England, 18 yrs old, 52 OVR - Loaned to Northampton Town

              Transfers In

CAM, Alex Pritchard, England, 24 yrs old, 75 OVR - £6,500,000 from Tottenham

Pritchard entered into the Tottenham academy in 2009, but has only made 2 appearances for the senior team at the club. Starting in 2013 he has been on a succession of loans to lower league sides while there simply just isn't room for him with the talent sitting on top of the London club's roster. Known for his tireless work rate and technical excellence, he seems like an idea fit to pair with the defensive minded Davis as part of the midfield duo. He will be tasked with working up and down the pitch connecting every facet of the team and be relied upon to just simply make things work. The manager got his player and it remains to be seen if the club record fee will pay off.

RM, Marc Albrighton, England, 27 yrs old, 73 OVR - £1,250,000 from Leicester City

Albrighton comes from another recently promoted side in Leicester City. A right sided midfielder with a fantastic ability to pick out teammates with his crosses, he looks to be set to take over as first choice right away. He and Odubajo will look to dominate the right side of the pitch working the overlaps in order to send balls into the box for the big guys like Abraham to try to win in the air.

LB, Joe Bryan, England, 24 yrs old, 73 OVR - £2,500,000 from Bristol City

Another left back signing brought in the go along with Dickenson who arrived on a pre-contract. Bryan is regarded more highly around the English leagues and should be the choice to earn that left back spot. He comes with an abundance of pace and an ability to cross that seems to be the trademark style of play the manager wants from his outside defenders. Fans should see him bombing forward all season long to get involved in the attack.

GK, Stephen Henderson, Ireland, 29 yrs old, 70 OVR - £700,000 from Charlton Athletic

Henderson is a true journeyman of the game having spent time with 9 different clubs either on loan or on a permanent basis. He has a large frame and can cover a wide area of his goal making him hard to beat when he positions himself well. With the sale of George Long the manager turned to Henderson to bring in an experienced keeper to take on the rigors of the Premier League rather than rely on the inexperienced academy graduate Bassala Barcham.

ST, James Collins, Ireland, 26 yrs old, 67 OVR - £450,000 from Shrewsbury Town

Abraham solidified himself in the striker position last year, but there still wasn't any other forwards who could fill in for him if he were to go down injured or needed to just simply rest. That's where James Collins comes in. Coming from the lower league side Shrewsbury, Collins is the type of forward who can get up and win the ball from defenders and truly create a target for the skilled crossers that the manager has been bringing in. This is a depth signing, but it is one that was certainly needed as insurance.

Hagi Appointed to Lead Avellino to Serie A

U.S. Avellino 1912 held a press conference today to introduce the Serie B side's newest manager, footballing legend Gheorghe Hagi. The 50-year-old, who is known as "The King" in his native Romania, has managed various teams since retiring in 2001, including Romania, Bursaspor, and Galatasaray on two occasions. Hagi now returns to Italy where he played from 1992-1994 with Brescia. Avellino has not played top-flight football since 1988 and have faced severe financial difficulties in recent years which culminated with a bankruptcy in 2009. The Wolves gained promotion to Serie B for the 2013-14 season, and now are looking to take that next step in the coming seasons to end a Serie A drought that has reached over 25 years.

LIVERPOOL STEAL 3 POINTS FROM WATFORD

WATFORD – Liverpool, who were without captain Jordan Henderson came into a wintry Sunday at Vicarage Road riding tremendous momentum as of late. Winners of 4 of their last 5, and not having lost a league game since 4 October, it was the perfect storm for newly promoted Watford to take the wind of out the Reds’ sail. A game that seemed destined for a 0-0 stalemate, turned into Liverpool stealing 3 points from the home side, securing just their second league win away from Anfield.

Once into extra time, a Liverpool interception led to a lightning fast counter attack that saw Coutinho find the freshly subbed on Benteke who fired a shot into the top right corner of the goal—giving Liverpool the 3 points they needed to continue their climb up the table from their dreaful start in August.

We went into last season with the goal of earning a top-5 finish to qualify for European competition even though the board only expected us to finish mid-table. We accomplished the goal we set out for ourselves but we now need to play in the qualifying round of the Euro League which will be its own challenge. The board this season has raised their expectations and is now asking us to qualify for European competition at the end of next season (through our placement in the League specifically). That will be a good challenge for us, especially if we're able to make some kind of run in the Euro League.

To tune up for the season we accepted in invitation to be in the European International Cup in pre-season, which took place in Belgium. Here's how we fared there:

Not bad for a season-opener on the road without one of our top strikers against a top-7 team from last season. 10 shots (5 on goal) will more often than not yield better results for us so I came out of this one feeling good about our form.

                                Kayserispor - Aalesunds FK (1-1)
                                Stojiljković 68' (Türüç)
                                James 90'
Türüç 85' (Sprained ankle, out 3 weeks)

Leke Samson James scored a dramatic equalizer right before stoppage time of the second half to give the Norwegian club a lot of momentum going into the second leg of this match-up which they'll get to play at home. Peñaranda will probably back in the lineup by then but now we'll be missing Türüç which (no offense to the Venezuelan striker) is an even bigger loss for us. We created a good number of scoring opportunities in this game (8 shots, 6 on target) but we couldn't seal the deal and ended up giving up what could be a very decisive goal.

                                League Match 2
                                Kayserispor - Mersin (1-1)
                                Peñaranda 34'
                                Sosa 66'

We were set up for a successful home opener against one of the worst teams in the league but we continue to not be able to convert on the multiple chances we create (10 shots, 8 on goal) and as a result we netted our third draw of the season in three games played. Undoubtedly we need to ramp up our form before it costs us heavily.

Euro League - Qualifying Round, 2nd Leg
                                Aalesunds FK - Kayserispor

Review: Four games and four draws?

That's just me poking fun at the overreaction analysts will have. Results are without question the most important aspect of the job but performance and execution are very important as well and when it comes to those I feel that we're doing them very well and therefore we should be able to start getting better results too. I foresaw us qualifying for the group stages of the Euro League in a not so difficult manner but hats off to Aalesunds and Mr. Fredriksen for giving us a hell of a battle. Türüç's absence is definitely noticeable in our game play though and I definitely look forward to getting him back. Thanks to FIFA-mandated break for international team play we'll Türüç will only miss one more game before being able to return to our lineup.

I don't think I mentioned it at the end of last season but with the funds we earned through our top-5 finish in the league we relieved Dragen Ujevic (3-star EXP/JUD) of his duties as youth scout to make room for a new hire at the position: Aleksiu Christakos (5-star EXP/JUD) from Greece. Christakos (Algeria), German scout Stefan Gersbeck (Turkey), and Turkish scout Kenan Gülle (Saudi Arabia) have all been sent on 3-month trips. (I remember someone previously asked why I do 3 months and not more and this is usually due to the limited budgets I work with as well as my desire to have diversity in my academies). Here's our youth squad at the moment:

LM - Athanasios Niarkhos (60 OVR, 82-88): 17-year old from Greece (Technically Gifted) whose agility (79), ball control (76) and dribbling (75) stand out. Doesn't possess the speed we desire for the position but we're hopeful that will come as he continues to grow.

CB - Emre Karaer (63 OVR, 81-87): 15-year old from Turkey who is Physically Strong and displays excellent aggression (83) to the ball. We're excited about his development and in no rush to promote him until we feel he's ready.

LW - Dragen Rennich (60 OVR, 77-83): 16-year old from Croatia with good acceleration (79) and balance (75). We expect a little growth from his current frame of 5'1" and 139lbs.

LW - Javier Fernandez (56 OVR, 77-83): 17-year old from Venezuela with good pace (79 acceleration, 70 speed) that will hopefully continue to grow. Good competition for Niarkhos and Rennich in the academy.

RW - Pavel Župan (56 OVR, 75-83): 17-year old from Serbia with good acceleration (73) and agility (73). We're still working on getting a full evaluation on him.

LW - Dragutin Puhovski (50 OVR, 70-82): 16-year old from Serbia with good pace (74 speed, 71 acceleration) and balance (72). He's a bit behind in the picking order at this position in the academy at the moment but hopefully he can catch up quickly.

RB - Fabian Lopez (57 OVR, 73-79): 17-year old from Venezuela who needs a lot of development. Doesn't possess the desired pace for the position at this point in time but hopefully he'll develop that. We don't expect him to grow taller than his current 5'11" frame so a move inside won't be an option for him.

As you may have noticed, Argus Gianakos is no longer part of the academy and if you took a look at the roster you noticed he's been promoted to the senior roster. I freaked out after Türüç's injury and promoted the greek super prospect but I'm starting to regret it because in a couple of weeks both Gianakos and Lampros are going to be battling for a limited amount of minutes. I may end up putting either or both up for short loan in the winter.

Gianakos is really a super prospect though:

                                September's Schedule:
