Ok so before I read this last thread I went home deleted my game off the USB save from the xbox storage area. Then I tried to load the game up on the hard drive when I went to go to CM there was no virtual pro. Just create pro use real pro. So I guess what I have to do now is delete my manager career mode now then what? That's where I get confused does it matter that I don't have fifa 13 profile anymore? I'm also wondering if I should go get a new disc because it could be what's causing the issue? Thanks for the help hope you can help me get this resolved

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
I'm in early November with Genoa CFC in Serie A. We're hovering above the relegation zone at 2W-1D-7L and -10GD. It's been a struggle to say the least, although most games are close. My only truly bad loss was 5-1 at Udinese; not sure what happened in that game, aside from all their shots going in.
I nearly salvaged at draw at Juventus, earning a late penalty down 1-0, but Gilardino hit the crossbar. That hurt. I think it was after that game that muttered "please just fire me now and get it over with." I started "motivating" my players at the press conferences by singling them out for criticism. It won't be long now.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
SO, after MANY CM's, I'm finally set on playing full manual for the first time & playing 15 min halfs on Goniras sliders with Real Madrid.
I picked Real Madrid because the idea of playing with Ronaldo, Bale & Benz is hard to pass up. Plus La Liga would be an easier league then then some other leagues to learn Full Manual and get better....
So my next post will be an outlook on Transfers, & the first game....
I'm preparing for my 2nd game nowComment

REAL MADRID CM 2013-14 MANAGER
Additions: Landon Donovan, David Luis, Gael Clichey, De Sciglio, Stephen KieBling & Called Back Sahin from Loan with Dortmund
Players Sold: Arbeloa
GAME 1 Vs REAL BETIS
We came out dominating first 18 min until Isco came through with his first goal of the campaign and competitive goal for Madrid.
That would be the start to a 5-2 brilliant wide open La Liga fixture to start the campaign.
To much class for Betis. Goals from Isco, Bale 2x, Ronaldo & Marcelo.
Up next is away at GranadaComment

Ok so after many attempts at being able to make a virtual pro I still have not had any luck. I tried saving to hard drive then deleting it and starting over. Still no luck I'm seriously disappointed in this and I wish I knew what to d to fx it that was my favorite part of the gameComment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
TEAM: Feyenoord
LEAGUE: Eredivisie
DIFFICULTY: Legendary, 15 Min Halfs, Orions Sliders
OBJECTIVES Win The League, Reach Round Of 16 In Domestic Cup, Reach Semi Final In The European Cup.
So, I decided Real Madrid wasn't the right fit for me as I'm still getting use to 15 min halfs & Orions sliders on legendary. After long debate, I decided to go to the Netherlands and manage Feyenoord. I Will not sim any games besides the friendlies.
TRANSFERS
I decided I wanted to try and buy 2 young players with somewhat great potential & I wanted to add a piece to my back line.
Started with a deal that fell through quite easily to my surprise, I added Adnan Januzaj from Man U Potential 87 (SOFIFA) for 2.6m plus a player I added to transfer list because of age who was worth about 1m
Next I added Lucas Andersen from Ajax for 3m plus a player who was transfer listed. He is a 18 yr old wing 71 ovr with a potential in mid 80s.
My last addition to the club was Aurelien Collin. CB from Sporting KC MLS. the 71 ovr CB at age 27 cost me 1m.
MATCH DAY 1: VS N.E.C.
GK Mulder
RB Janmaat (c)
CB de Vrij
CB Mathijsen
LB Martins Indi
RDM Vormer

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
I've really been enjoying reading the threads on here the last few days so thought Id share my incredible experience thus far
I just finished my 3rd season in the most dramatic finish ive ever had playing with Liverpool on world class!
(Apologies for the length of the post, I realize after writing it that its abit of an essay but I really felt like venting and de-briefing and summarizing a bit after my incredible season!)
League
Started the season very slowly, including a humiliating 4-0 loss at Norwich which was one of my worst results ever, with my season seemingly spiralling out of control at several stages. At one stage with about 20 games into the league i was in 7th about 11 points off the top, having lost to Arsenal to a dubious 90th minute pen and drawn with Man Utd with another dubious pen at Old trafford. Losing 1-0 on 73' to QPR mid-season and facing a 5th consecutive game without a win i went all out (3-2-4-2 with wingbacks) and smashed 4 past them to effectively save my season!
The run in was so tense, needing to win every game as only 3 points separated the top 5 teams. I dropped points at home against relegated Brighton (due to a last minute pen agan) and needed a late winner at Newcastle, not to mention the fact that I had to beat Chelsea (1-0) and Spurs (2-0) away in my final 5 to preserve my title chance (amazing considering that i hadn't won a single league game vs a top 5 team yet). Going into the final game I was 1 point behind man utd with arsenal a further 1 point behind me also in with a title shot (chelsea were 4 points back, tight!). Man Utd played at Aston Villa and had a man sent off and lost 1-0 while I beat West Brom 3-1 to clinch on the final day. This is after finishing 5th by 1 point in my first season, and blowing the title in the 2nd season by losing my final two games 3-0 and 5-3 against villa and everton where 4 points would have clinched. So pleased with that result, finally a narrow points difference goes my way in the league!
FA Cup
In the FA cup I lost in the semi vs Stoke on pens after equalizing in the 89th min, and having won the QF replay with blackburn 1-0 in the 90th minute following a 0-0 first game. 2nd season I lost the final to City 2-1 (after winning on pens twice in the QF and Semi), and lost the 5th round replay to Birmingham on pens in my first season.
Carling Cup
I lost the carling cup final 2-1 vs chelsea, having beaten everton with a last minute extra-time goal in the semi second leg following two 1-0's. Chelsea knocked me out in the 2nd year in the 4th round 1-0 as well. In my first season i beat Everton in the final 3-2 in extra time, after scoring an 89th minute leveller and then a 115th minute winner!
Europe
In my second season I lost the Europa league final against Zenit to a heartbreaking 119th minute Hulk goal. On my way to the final i edged past Espanyol, Udinese, Porto, and Schalke.
This season i won the Champions Cup in the most tense competition end-to-end ever for me. After 2 group games i had 1 point (having lost at home vs St Etienne and drawn with PSV, with Milan and St Etienne topping on 6 points). Things looked gloomy with 2 games vs Milan coming up. Somehow i managed to win 2-1 vs milan (come from behind with a 90th minute header winning it), draw with them 1-1 in milan, and also beat st etienne and psv to finish 2nd by two points. My prize was a date with Bayern, who i notoriously struggle against. They opened the scoring at Anfield after just 12mins and my defensive tactics seemed to be ripped to shreds (they had Bale, Robben, and Ribery et al, plus Gotze off the bench!) although somehow i managed to equalise on a corner late on, and then miraculously win 2-0 in munich (another corner and a late counter off the ever dependable 5-2-1-2). Then I faced PSG and played astutely to win 1-0 in the last minute at home, and then come from behind to draw 1-1 in paris. On to milan in the semi, who I bored out a home 1-0 and away 0-0 against, with the winning goal a very dubious penalty indeed. In the final i met Man Utd and after being ontop the whole game it entered extra time, where my keeper pulled off the best save i have ever seen (top corner close range vs van Persie volley!) at 0-0, just prior to me winning on a 112th minute header (in off the post of course!)
Not sure if anyone else has had as incredible dramatic seasons as mine, but so far Im absolutely loving FIFA 14.
Btw, my current first team looks as follows (not including a few great youths). I usually play 4-2-3-1, although also use 4-3-3, 3-4-1-2, and 5-2-1-2/5-4-1 depending on fixtures and fitness levels. Generally I have big strong centre-backs and a solid CDM unit infront of them, with very fast full-backs with great crossing. On the wings I set up with either attacking mids (4-2-3-1) or wingers (4-3-3), all of whom have decent crossing stats.
ter Stegen
Montoya, Varane, Mangala, Alberto Moreno
(Rober) (Marquinhos, Papadopoulos) (Gaya)
Pogba, Kondogbia
(Gerrard) (Alaba)
Sterling, Paredes, Griezmann
(Depay-loan out) (Correa) (Bakkali)
Lukaku
(Pato)
Notably:
- Lukaku is an absolute monster and has finished top scorer in the league 2 seasons running for me (scoring 25 and 24 goals, mainly powerful headers). I traded Benteke for Pato to give me a different alternative playing style to that which Lukaku offers, and although he doesnt score as much as Lukaku (18 goals all comp's), he seems to score ALL his goals at crucial make-or-break moments in the cups and late in league games when Im going all-in.
- I believe I have the best 4 young full backs in the game, all being so so fast and having very high crossing stats. I bought them when they were all between 73-77 in second season, and they have all already become 80-83 and only Montoya has hit 23 (Gaya is only 20!)
- Gerrard has sunk to 78 at age 35 but is continuing for one more season (after that I will not extend him unfortunately, was actually hoping he might bow out after my double this season to make room for a top-top CM youngster I have to replace him, but he'll still be an effective squad player for me that I dont have to worry about keeping happy nonetheless.
- Paredes and Correa got 20 goals between them for me this season and have shown very rapid growth. Contrary to stats Paredes does have a decent header on him, and Correa is fantastic at making runs into the box. My CAM pairing for the next few years.
My priority for the transfer window is to upgrade my wingers as I don't get enough goals out of them (Bakkali 0 goals but is a work in progress with high potential, Sterling <5 goals, and Griezmann who got 0 goals and <5 assists since coming in January, big disappointment for what was my big mid-season move and a quite a large overpayment using prize money for reaching champions league knockout plus a talented CDM in Marco Hoger. I may go after Viktor Fischer again (was close in January due to his "Exciting prospect" tag before opting for Griezmann due to him seeming like the "safer" bet to fit into my first team for the run-in, mainly due to his high crossing stats), and I've also got my eye on somehow prizing the unsettled Lamela away from Spurs or James Rodriguez from Monaco to fill my RW/RAM spot to give me the option of cutting inside for a good shot (the asking price is ridiculously high but I'm hoping Griezmann/Sterling/maybe-Bakkali plus a large bag of cash will help in both cases!)
One worry I have is about what will happen to my prize money from the Prem and Champions Cup at the end of the season. I'm torn between planting it all in wages before ending the season, or hoping that it carries over... Been reading about this issue and it seems to go both ways depending on your club, boardroom leniency and wage levels. Recently Ive been handing out big pay rises to a lot of my players who I think would otherwise ask for raises next season (particularly since their stats have improved immensely. I'm finding it hard to keep everyone happy in the parts of the season where I don't have two games per week (the beginning and end in particular when the cups arent in full swing) but the fact I keep going on deep cup runs certainly helps. It seems that none of my players are willing to down-grade their squad role, even for more money which makes negotiating tough (I can see unhappiness down the line, and a couple of my players have already threatened that they want to be transfered (thankfully i had saved and went back a coupl of days until they didnt say that anymore!)
Now ive got the small matter of the Euros with Portugal, having won the world cup in my first season with Sweden (playing on Pro though), narrowly beating germany, spain, brazil, and ofcourse England on penalties in the QF hehe. I upped the level to world class for the qualifiers but got smashed to bits in the final deciding game at Belgium where I only needed a draw to qualify (literally everything that could go wrong did: de Bruyne scored from 35yards+, they got a soft penalty, fellaini scored on a corner, and benteke scored a ridiculous header.... all in the first 25 mins!)
Looking forward to reading if anyone can match the drama from my seasons!!Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
So after several restarts of my manager mode I'm finally happy. I have Bristol Rovers as my team and man are they fun. In he Capital One Cup I narrowly escaped with a win over Blackburn Rovers 1-0 in Penalties. I have to say tha it was fantastic fun and a great finish. The reason I won is because they hit 3 off the post in penalties. Which to me is just crazy. Anyways I'm using Goniras sliders and never have an issue with the game being scripted actually quite the opposite. It's so much fun and like real football. It's a great gameComment

Looking good for you guys. I just decided to buy Next Gen, which means I'll have to start it up all over again...grrr...but it's alright, from what I can tell the little nuances make it even better.XBOX ONE: FIFA 15, SOUTHAMPTON CM:

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
I'm finally getting the hang of playing on all-manual and legendary using Gonira's sliders; I had been doing a test CM with Sevilla to get the hand of things like transfer, scouting and managing my squad's fitness. I believe I will now choose a team with a relatively high transfer budget to micro-manage; I have a list of players I potentially want on my squad such as Jonathan Dos Santos, El Shaarawy and my twin Angel Di Maria (I seriously look identical to him and am also left footed).
I have been watching quite a few career mode videos on Youtube to see how other people handle transfers; Liverpool is a team I really like; has good talent off the bat but gives me room to make over the team how I see fit. What kind of transfers have y'all done in your career mode before the season? With Sevilla, the biggest move I did was buying Marco Verratti from PSG for 12 million dollars.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
I personally don't like playing with the top tier teams it's far to easy to before. I like to play with league 2 teams and build them up with young talent and occasionally bring in expensive players. And get the promotion. The best that I has done was to get offered 3 million for one of my 17 year old prospects who was a 67 at the time but I turned them down because he was a star player. I kinda regret that choice lol. But try it out that way it's actually fun and a efferent way to play the game that's all I play. I haven't made it to the premiership yet. Of course I don't play fifa a whole lot eitherComment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
I completely get what you're saying and in NCAA Football, a game that I am really good at, I do the same. But this is my first time playing FIFA in 3 years so I am not as in it. But being that I am just getting the hang of FIFA, I want to have fun buying players I like in real life; after a few seasons I will probably do what you are doing.
Ok back to FIFA, If and when you do a League 2 team, I recommend Max Meyer from Shackel(spell check). Hes really good, by the time you get to BPL he'll be about 84 rated.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Has anyone here seen IGN's video review? I watched it and a few days ago and I vaguely remember mention of progress carrying over. I was under the impression that CM progress wouldn't carry over and assumed that he was referring to UT & EASFC. I can't watch the video right now so for anyone who can or has, can you confirm?XBL GT: The Kingpin187Comment

LOVE NCAA Football... had a 23 year run with UTSA and won 4 NCs along the way(mostly simming as I love the career mode building based on my recruiting skills rather than my playing skills. I only play about 3 games a season at most.)
