Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Just started my West Ham United career mode, using Moderate budget and starting the season with the first transfer window closed to allow for the regular clubs to be seen at least for the first half of the campaign. Will update once things get further underway!Check out my Pitt Panthers Dynasty (NCAA Football 14)

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Hey guys I post in the next gen section but it's pretty dead. I will repost my second season, looking for some help if I'm running a good formation for my team build.
Last yr I ran a 4-2-3-1.
I safe saved before making moves but was going to try this out, what do you think.
4-1-3-2
LB. Sagna LCB. Mertesacker RCB. Koscielny RB. Gibbs
CDM. Ramsey
LM. Julian Draxler CM. Santi Cazorla. RM. Walcott
LS. Giroud. RS. Diego Costa.
subs:
Podolski, Hinteregger, Arteta, Oxlade, Jenkinson, Wellington Silva, Wilshere.
Injured: Vermaleen, Ozul,
Think this will work or should I reload my safe save which is pretty much my stock roster from last yr. or just a new formation?
w/ ozul returning I placed him at CAM and Santi Corzola at RM. I usually play possession w/ a slight one defensive tick (d-pad). Using Walcott, Ox, and or Wellington Silva for speed in the subs to create on the wings if needed vs lower teams. Podolski I also let run at the striker position since I'm deep on the wings/LnR M5Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Team: Everton
League: UK Premier League
Difficulty: World Class, 10 min halves
Objectives: Qualify for Champions Cup, Semi-Finals of Cup Tournement
Decided to play as Everton in my UK Premier League set-up. I selected no summer transfers. Went through friendlies ok until my last one against Juve where I lost Ross Barkley for 7 months with a ACL. Sent my GTN Scout to England, France and Brazil to look for a striker, goalkeeper (Tim Howard getting a little long in the tooth), and a defensive mid-fielder. Beat Norwich in the season opener 2-0, on to West Brom.My teams: Cowboys, Knicks, Braves, Arsenal FC, Nittany Lions

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Team: West Ham United
Difficulty: World Class
Sliders: Orion-Gonira blend
Objectives: Avoid relegation//Reach the Round of 32
Arrivals and Departures:
Loaned out Carlton Cole and several of the youngsters.
Brought in Danny Rose from Tottenham and Sam Byram from Leeds to sure up the weaknesses at RB and LB.
Results thus far:
Cardiff City (Home) - D 0-0
This match lacked everything. Still getting a feel for the squad, I controlled possession but did a horrible job finishing the few chances I had.
Newcastle United (Away) - W 1-0
Not 100% sure how I gutted this one out. Out shot 20 to 9 and lacking possession. Thought I may never score with West Ham, until in the 81st minute, the ball dropped in front of Petric who put it away. Withstood a fire storm for 10 minutes to get the W.
Stoke City (Home) - W 3-1
Ran wild on the Potters. Goals by Noble and Petric gave me a commanding first half lead. Crouch hit back in the 57th before Danny Rose hit home a rebound after a storming run down the right flank.
Notes: Being 2-1-0 feels a bit blessed right now. The 5-1-2-1-1 is working really well at the moment and I'm excited to earn such a big road W early at St. James Park.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Team : Nottigham Forrest
Difficulty : Proffesional
Half length : 6 or 8 mins
Started a Nottingham Forrest career mode, trying to get them back to the BPL and then challenging for Europe. I like the idea, and that's why I started a Forrest career, because they've been on the top of Europe and noone would be suprised if they do it again(pretty much I wanted a team with history).
I chose to make the financial takeover but here is the thing.. I am playing on PC and you may know you may not know there is a program called "Cheat Engine". With it you change diffirent kinds of numbers in opened applications.
So I opened FIFA 14 and found the code of the budget and changed it to something like 25mil.
So, we're sitting 5th with 7pts after 4 matches but I don't expect the boys to be unstoppable from the first minute till the end of the season
Here's the transfers I made :
OUT :
S.Cox -> Everton (1,200 000£)
J.Greening -> Middlesbrough (45,000£)
D.Harding -> Middlesbrough (160,000£)
A.Reid -> C.Palace (375,000£)
I.Miller -> Blackburn (325,000£)
M.Derbyshire -> Bolton (425,000£)
IN :
B.Amos (Man.United) - 320,000£
A.Tonev (A.Villa) - loanee
J.Dos Santos (Barcelona) - 1,800 000£
K.Zouma (St.Etienne) - 6,800 000£
M.Antonio (Sheffield W.) - 1,900 000£
N.Maupay (OGC Nice) - 900,000£
As you can see, I'm building for the future.. With my starting eleven's average age on 22,7 yohopefully we will be able to get to the BPL as soon as possible.
With the transfer deadline day approaching, I can see that we really need a striker who can finish, I think I'm gonna throw an offer to Blackburn for the talented finisher Jordan RhodesComment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Team: Newcastle United
League: English Premier League
Difficulty: Professional (for now), 7 min halves
Objectives: Qualify for Euro League, Round of 16 for Domestic Cup
Year 1 - End of Summer Transfer Window
Decided to start up a new Career Mode with Newcastle (my favorite club) to help build them up to a European power. I really like playing in a 4-1-2-1-2, so I will attempt to create a roster that gives me options to move guys around in the formation. The more versatility of a player, the better for me. I also like to make lots of moves right off the bat to get rid of the dead weight on the club and bring in some young talent. I didn't move any of my big-time players in the first transfer window, but I did add two new starters.
IN
Gael Perdomo, GK - free agent
Kurt Zouma, CB - 7m
Daniel Bachmann, GK - 450k
Victor Andrade, ST - 2m
Adnan Januzaj, RM - 4.5m
Jeremy Menez, LW - 7m
Mame Diouf, ST - 11m
Joao Cancelo, RB - on loan
OUT
Rob Elliot, GK - 325k
Steven Taylor, CB - 3.5m
Shola Ameobi, ST - 1.3m
Jak Alnwick, GK - 130k
Brandon Miele, CM - 90k
Papiss Demba Cisse, ST - 8.5m
Sylvain Marveaux, LW - 2.6m
3-0-0 to start the season with wins over Man City, West Ham, and Fulham. Each of the first two opponents had early send offs so I was playing 11v10 for most of those matches which was nice. 5 goals for and 1 against for now and Loic Remy leads the EPL with 3 so far.Comment

What exactly is a free transfer? Is it player for player?You Look Good, You Feel Good. You Feel Good, You Play Good. You Play Good, They Pay Good. - Deion Sanders

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
When a player has less than six months left on their contract, they can begin to negotiate with other teams for once their contract expires. So in January transfer windows, you can sign someone with an expiring contract so that they will become part of your team once the season ends, without having to go through the team, meaning that there is no transfer fee.
Make sense?Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Robert Lewandowski is always available in the first season as he only starts with a 1 year contract. Provided he doesn't leave in the first window, but if you turn them off you can sign him in January. Before the update comes out for him moving to Bayern anywayComment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Update on Nottingham Forest, season 4
I've had mixed results with the false nine, so I changed to a more conventional 4-3-3. El Shaarawy is playing as striker for now, which means I'm down to three wing players and an abundance of central midfielders.
Been winning in the league, and the league is now ten games in. I've got 27 points, five more than Liverpool. I'm also in the quarter-final of the League Cup, and top of my Champions Cup group with nine points from three games. In January, I'll be looking to pick up a good striker with the money made from selling some extra midfielders.
Deulofeu picked up a sprained ankle against Schalke and is out for the next four weeks, while Kortney Hause stepped up his recovery from injury with 45 minutes against Middlesbrough in the League Cup R16.Comment

Help with squad depth & Team Suggestion
Hows it going guys my name is Saz. This is my first post in this website so sorry if this might sound like a stupid question. I have always liked Career Mode and as soon as I got the game I did what everybody does when they get the game which is to start a career mode with your favourite team. However, I felt bored after two months as I was just killing it with Man Utd. It was too easy for me and I was playing on World Class.
I would have started with a lower league team but heres my problem. Say I startedd a career with AFC Wimbledon and I just made my first XI, the first thing I do is look at squad depth. Lets say they do not have a good replacement for a LB,CB and GK what do I do then ??
The reason I like to look at squad depth is that lets say one player is low on energy who is going to replace him??
This is my issue and it has been bugging me for a while tbh and thats why I choose teams like Utd, but then i feel bored lool... So can someone please help me and suggest a team with a healthy budget out of BPL but in England (With nice kits plz)... ThanksComment
