wow, I didn't know their history. Read a little bit and it's really captivating, definitely a hell of CM out there waiting for someone.

Definitely. I think they also made it to the League 1 playoffs in my career. If not they just barely missed out on it. I have no clue how Peterborough won the playoffs.

I'm pretty sure someone started a career with them but then never followed up. Unless we're all tripping but I know I've seen the picture on here recently

Hey everyone, new here but wanted to show you my Gladbach career, I'm just starting my 2nd season. I didn't have European fixtures in the 1st season and the the target was to qualify for Europa leauge which I did (I finished 5th). I'm playing on World class and I could have came 4th and qualified for UCL but I want this career mode to be a lengthy one so I guess you could say I fixed it to come 5th (I don't just want to play Champions league every season from now on, ideally I will be in there next season and it will then take me a few seasons to win that and the league).

Anyways, I've been trying to keep it realistic and I feel I've done a pretty good job. I like to try to keep as many "original" players as possible, rather than clearing out and buying in (unless they are old, not going to grow, or just no place).

So, in my first transfer window I sent just about every player <65 out on loan and let them grow (so hopefully some will reach the 1st team in 3rd/4th season) and while looking at the squad I didn't feel anybody needed to be sold (other than 2 players that were "Retiring at the end of the season" which is annoying that you can't sell them), but there were a few positions missing back up. With my 7.5 million euros I signed Tasci (CB for Stuttgart) for 3.2 Mil (Bargain!) and Zoet (GK for PSV) for 4 Mil as a back up to Ter Stegen and kept the rest for new contracts etc. On the opening day of the season this was my Starting XI along with the bench:

Not much happened throughout the season but here's a couple of things. Kruse got injured for 3 months in August and returned in November, therefore the main partnership up front was Mlapa and de Jong which proved to be a good one as both were on 8 goals each by the time Kruse returned. In January, I didn't make any purchases, but I noticed there were a lot of contracts expiring in the coming months therefore I went through each player and made a decision. I decided that some of them may aswell go now for a bit of cash rather than for free in 5 months, so I listed Brouwers and Heimeroth on the market. Brouwers was sold for 850,000 euros and that turned out to be the only sale of the season as no one was interested in Heimeroth (Unsurprisingly!). I was eliminated from the Deutscher Pokal in the quarter finals which exceeded my target of Round of 32. Then, at the end of my 1st season in charge Arango, Marx and Daems would retire and Heimeroth would become a free agent. Arango was the only one from those 4 that I used regularly, as Daems was usually substitute to Wendt and Marx and Heimeroth were just useless.

With the second season starting, the club were impressed with my performances and granted me €17 million which was brilliant as I had planned out that I needed 3 new players if I wanted to continue the consistency at the club. First, I signed Traore (LM from Stuttgart) to replace Arango at LM for 4 and a half million. I did consider Stocker from FC Basel as he looked great but they wanted around 12 million (8 million more for someone 1 year younger!) One other thing I found interesting about this transfer is that I went to check something about Traore later on and noticed he had just joined Gladbach in real life! Next I signed Daley Blind from Ajax for only €3.2 million as a back up to (and hopefully soon to replace) Oscar Wendt who was now hit 28 years old. My final signing was a CB because after the loss of Brouwers I was left with with only 3 (Tasci, Stranzl and Dominguez), so with my remaining cash I looked at Toprak but my bids weren't enough and I couldn't afford him at all. However, I then came across Diagne who played for Freiburg and after a bit of scouting I noticed he had increased by 3 ratings to a 79 and his value was €9 million. So after a bit of bargaining I sealed the deal for 7 and a half million euros and my squad for next the 2nd season was ready with barely any cash left. One final thing before I show you my squad for the opening day of the 2nd season, I once again sent out a lot of my younger/inexperienced players on loan as most went up by 3/4 over the 1st season and I'm hoping for a repeat this season. Anyway, here it is:

Just a bit of analysis before I finish, notice how Zoet, Ter Stegen, Nordtveit, Dominguez and Xhaka literally froze on rating for thw whole season. I'm not sure why this happened but hopefully we'll see some changes soon. Wendt and Jantschke had minimal upgrades to their stats, whereas Herrmann, Kruse de Jong, Raffael, Tasci, Kramer and Mlapa all began to rise as Stranzl begins his downfall. There are also a considerable amount of players not pictured (basically all the loan guys) who are growing very well too.

Wow, what a long post! That took ages haha. Anyways I will be definitely be back at the start of my 3rd season, maybe even in January to tell you guys about any growth etc. (Especially those with frozen ratings!) but until then; Goodbye!

1-star scouts in the GTN sucks hairy sweaty balls. They keep bringing me players that are crappier than crap. HOWEVER, it seems one of them finally brought me a good report as this kid from MLS, Dillon Serna, looks like someone I might go after this offseason (Dagenham CM).

What's happening man?? Just 2 goals in 5 matches, and both of them were in the same match. Good you brought Varane to help out in defense but what's going on up front? Is Klose getting too isolated up field? Maybe a change of formation or there needs to be a change in midfield so they can supply Klose with goal chances. Keep your head up!

Basically I'm playing awful. I'm two games into February and now I'm gonna try changing the formation. Its pretty tough to keep my head up though.

What formation were you using and which are you thinking about changing to? Switch up the squad a bit in positions that are underperforming. Try out those bench players that have been playing great even if they're overall isn't as high as your starter. Sometimes a player can get too comfortable and take his foot off the gas.

Crystal Palace:February

This month we had few games(4 to be exact) in which we won 3 of 4. All games were for the league but one which was the round of 16 in the champions cup. So this month we learnt that at the ends of their contracts we will be getting Samuel Eto'o and Dirk Kuyt along with others. When Dirk Kuyt was asked what made him sign with this young team in England he told the press"I guess just bringing my experience to the table will help I also hope I will be a great leader for a young team full of potential. Kuyt was going to become a free agent at the end of the year if it weren't for Crystal Palace and their management.
Anyways moving on at the end of the year I will look to sign Buffon and Ronaldhino.
So again currently in 8th but catching up to Swansea City.

What formation were you using and which are you thinking about changing to? Switch up the squad a bit in positions that are underperforming. Try out those bench players that have been playing great even if they're overall isn't as high as your starter. Sometimes a player can get too comfortable and take his foot off the gas.

Was 4-5-1 Attack, now 4-3-3 Attack. For the next game I'm playing Onazi instead of Ledesma and Keita instead of Mauri.

The Daggers had the opportunity of clinching promotion at home against Hartlepool and did not disappoint their fans, taking over the game after a very even first half where they seemed nervous, surely the magnitude of the moment hanging over their heads. Richard Paez must have given them a hell of a halftime speech because they flat out dominated the visitors in the second half, celebrating each goal more than the previous one. Scott Doe ran towards the right corner flag after his goal near the end of the game and jumped jubilant as he asked the fan base to join him a celebration. This side of east London may have never rocked quite like in that moment. When the game ended red and white confetti streamed down from the top of the stadium and the players put Paez on their shoulders as they took him around the stadium. It was a moment that will forever be engraved in the history of the club, which moves to Football League One for only the second time in their short 22-year history after a shortly lived stint there in the 2010-2011 season

Reporter: Mr. Paez, it doesn't need to be said that this has been an amazing season. Can you describe how you're feeling right now after this accomplishment?

Paez: I cannot put it in words. The way this team has come together, worked together to achieve this goal, is very unique. Everyone on this roster and coaching staff has put in their time, selflessly, to get to where we are now, to achieve this goal, and there is an indescribable beauty to that. I am so proud of everyone on the team but at the same time we want to accomplish bigger things than this so we'll need to regroup soon and maintain focus.

Reporter: You do only have two days off before your next game when you will host York City, will there be any changes to the starting XI?

Paez: For the most part we'll continue to have the same starters. We have accomplished our main goal this season but one of our goals is also to win the league and we're still in position to do that but have Portsmouth right behind us so we can't get complacent now down the stretch.

Reporter: Speaking of Portsmouth, they have now also earned promotion to League One, what are your thoughts on the season they've had?

Paez: Excellent season by them. Andy (Awford) has done an amazing job with that group of players and I believe they are the highest scoring team in the league. I would like to congratulate them on their great season and I look forward to facing off against them in League One next season.

With only 9 points on the table 4th place Bury will not be able to catch up to us or Portsmouth which is how we have clinched promotion to League One before the season ends. Obviously I'm stoked about this accomplishment

Looking over at the League One standings Stevenage will be one of the team's delegated to League Two while Oldham Athletic, Port Vale, and Crawley Town (in that order) are the next ones on the chopping block, each separated by 3 points with only 2 games left. I will have a bigger update with champions around Europe and promotions/delegations in my next update which will be the end of season update.

We do have some news in our Youth Academy as Keith Carey indeed cancelled his contract after the team didn't meet his demands to sign him to the senior squad. There has also been an addition to the Y.A. from Germany.

- Jamie Black (GK, 46-48 OVR, 72-78 POT): An intriguing 16 Y/O prospect from Scotland who stands at 6'7", 194lbs.
- Jordan Derbyshire (GK, 52-56, 82-88): This 16 Y/O kid from England is arguably the better GK prospect. He's 6 inches shorter than Black.
- Xabi Lopez (DEF, 42-44, 69-73): 16 Y/O kid from Spain will be a CG or CDM but I'm disappointed that his potential is so low.
- Fabian Torres (MID, 46-48, 72-78): This 16 Y/O from Spain is likely to be a CAM/CM.
- Kagetoki Miyoshi (DEF/MID, 41-45, 78-86): This 15 Y/O kid from Japan ia someone we're very excited about.
- Stefan Reichel (DEF/MID, 39-49, 65-83)*: 15 Y/O from Germany is the newest addition to the squad.
