Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

First off, my hopes of Reus have gone down the drain as it sounds like it's nearly guaranteed [Oh, what Arsene? Now you're not doing it?] that we're getting Huntelaar instead. In my hopes, we ditch Huntelaar and just go with Welbeck, and even prevent Tottenham from getting him. Anyways. Onto FIFA. Don't expect too many posts from me as I'm still trying to find a second career -_-. I find, for me, I get burned out of careers easily [Oh, you've noticed?] and so I need a second career to keep the interest in both. But I need a quality one. Once again, it was still too easy with Arsenal. I tried. So, I do have some options that are regular... and then I have another option. I'm just gonna get into the second one. ACTUALLY, before I do that. I have to say, I may go back to Hamburg where I play against all of you're teams . Anyways, the other option.
I start with a team known for collapsing. [Oh wait, United?] Please forgive me.. I had to crack the joke... in come the Arsenal jokes ... if you have suggestions for the team, please let me know. BUT. I won't be using their regular roster... I'll be using players like... Chamakh. Bendtner [Sorry, Indi.] Maybe Torres? Anyways, players like that. You could recommend as well if I decide on this one. Could be interesting. Maybe not. I'd test it.

By the way, the other options I was considering was: Crystal Palace, Ajax [Moved to a different league], or Villareal. These are some options, I may end up with more, I'll be thinking

        Akin Fenwa signs for chile

        Toughts
I wasnt planning on signing alot of players except for squad players, But then i tought, Im enjoying playing with Gutierrez and Xhaka is really bad in the team. So i just did a straight swap, Aranguiz is also good in chile and Rode is just a talented player in general, so both signed them for next season. Got a great offer for Howard(Since hes 31) and bought Vermeer for him. Baines requested a transfer (Yeh, This was pretty annoying.) and i signed a squad player in Paredes (I needed depth at the Striker position). Bought a Talented backup Goalie in Casteels to play Cup games. So Baines goes to arsenal for 7mil, and i sign Cresswell as a backup, I had enough money to buy a backup CB since alcaraz and Distin are declining badly, So there was mathieu. I just saw a clip about Locadia in eredivisie highlight videos (Ye i live in holland) and i dont really like Kone + Hes old, so i got Locadia. Great January Transfer window

I really have no idea where you are getting your sources. Reus hasn't been linked with Arsenal since before Sanchez and Huntelaar hasn't full stop. None of Sky Sports, BBC, /r/soccer, ESPN, The Guardian, The Telegraph etc. have reported anything other than Welbeck

Literally so pissed off. I was winning 3-0 in stoppage time in the second leg and my area had a power cut
Now it's time to try and do that again.

16 million pounds = price for Welbeck. I think he'll be a good signing.

EDIT: Still not too sure what team to do for my back up. But.. one of my key signings will be Danny Welbeck. Hopefully anyways..

Ajax hire Marshall Mathers as new manager

After his successful rapping career, Marshall Mathers known as "Eminem" has decided to take a manager role at a football club. He has choses Ajax, and has worked a deal with the F.A. to let them move to the Premier League. Hull City volunteered to move to the Dutch league, and so they went. It will be interesting to see how Marshall Mathers and Ajax fare in the Premier League. See you soon.

So, here it is. This is only the 2nd career, but it'll still get played. Expect an update soon.

                              Press Conference

Q: You finished outside the top 10, but still in the top half of the season. After being pegged as a relegation by many at the start of the season, most would say it was a successful campaign. How do you feel about your performance this season?

A: It was definitely a season to look back and be proud of. We accomplished a lot more than many gave us credit for, but it still is tough to look back and see we were in the top 6 at one point. We know now what it takes to get to where we want, and we will focus on that heading into next season.

Q: What improvements do you need to make in the squad in order to achieve more next season?

A: We need to be more consistent. One month we would be unstoppable, and the next we would fail to take even one point. We need to get ourselves more organized in the attack, and keep the defense tighter as well. That falls upon me to make sure the squad can execute that. I will be working all off-season to bring this squad to where I believe we should be.

Q: What kind of squad movement do you think needs to be made in this coming transfer window in order to improve the squad as a whole?

A: We are excited to have a couple new players join us from agreements made in January, but more will likely be needed as well. I think we will definitely be looking to bring in wing help with both Jordon Ibe and Islam Feruz both returning to their parent clubs after their loans. Other positions will need to be evaluated as well, but I will know more about that later.

                                August Update

TRANSFERS OUT (since the last update): Marco Bungert (CDM, 49 OVR), sold to Alshoulla FC for $25K. Simon Mustafi (GK, 61 OVR), sold to SV Ried for $100K. Martin Pardo (CDM, 62 OVR), sold to RKC Waalwijk for $275K. Lucas Aguirre (LM, 71 OVR), sold to Celta Vigo for $1.9 million.
TRANSFERS IN: None since the previous update.

Quick notes on those moves, I've been trying to sell Bungert ever since he demanded to be called up WAY too early, pretty much ruining his career. Mustafi was someone I just didn't have room for with Alberto and Navas already being such stud prospects. Pardo was never going to be more than a sub at best on this team and even though he's Venezuelan I had to let him go. Aguirre was just really hard to let go of, he has potential to be special, but the logjam at LM is too big and it was the best for both him and the club. Bayern ($17 million), Porto, and AC Milan ($15.5 million each) all tried to get Ulreich from me but I said no thanks - I've done La Liga with below average GK's and saw how that went.

So did our first month this time around go better than last season's? Well ...

The main guys played in the first friendly while the backups played the other two. As you can see Akpom AND Knoll both had a hell of a pre-season and Akpom has been able to carry that into the season. The Sevilla game was ridiculous, their goalie Kivrak ended up with a 9.5 game rating and POG honors after a whooping 15 saves

Either way that was a really good month and a great start in the season. I can already tell having Ulreich will pay off because the scores would had been a lot different with Navas or Alberto. Next month there will be 5 league games plus 2 friendlies and I will post standings starting with that update.

There have been no additions to the academy recently since no scouts had been sent out but I recently sent my 5-star scout back out to Venezuela to continue finding talent there that I can use later on for the national team (and maybe at Alcorcon, who knows?). Here's the youth squad at the moment:

                                - Andre Meirelles (CM, 65-69, 87-93): 17 Y/O from Brazil is a great prospect without who wouldn't have a role with the team at the moment. Likely to be promoted this season and listed for loan.
                                - Juan Morientes (CAM, 67-71, 87-93): 17 Y/O from Spain is basically in the same boat as Meirelles.
                                - Adam Lee (CDM, 56-60, 73-79): 17 Y/O from England who will probably never play for the team, will soon be brought up and sold.
                                - Markus Goretzka (CB, 56-60, 73-79): 16 Y/O from Germany is probably on the same boat as Lee.
                                - Lansana Afrani (LB, 62-6, 87-93): 15 Y/O from Cameroon would have a much quicker change to make an immediate impact if he had the pace to play fullback. His ratings suggest he'll fit best at CB.
                                - Kyle Buwalda (LW, 55-59 76-82): 16 Y/O from the Netherlands needs to stay in the academy all season, likely to be a loan candidate when promoted.
                                - Jens Stevens (LM, 54-58, 73-79): 15 Y/O from Netherlands is still being developed.
                                - Bart Gorter (CAM, 64-68, 86-92): 16 Y/O from Netherlands labeled as a playmaker is someone we're starting to get excited about.
                                - Joey Hoesen (LW, 54-58, 71-75): Another 15 Y/O from Netherlands whose potential is lower than we anticipated.
                                - Samuel Amodako (LM, 53-57, 70-74): 16 Y/O from Cameroon is still being developed.
                                - Jomar Mayat (LW 52-56, 72-76): 16 Y/O from Cameroon who we're hoping to develop as a striker.
                                * Denotes recent addition to the Y.A.

                                And that's all for now
