Newcastle United unveiled Indiblue as the new first team manager today at a press conference that has breathed new life into the stuttering club, ushering in a change from the stagnation that was so synonymous with Alan Pardew's tenure. Long thought to be underachievers given the resources at their disposal, Newcastle have not won any major silverware since the 1969 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, the defunct predecessor to the Europa League, despite ranking among the 20 wealthiest clubs in world football.

Indi, welcome to the Premier League. What's your plan for Newcastle?

Well, we're one of the most eminent football clubs in the world, with revenue to match the likes of Lyon and Sevilla. I think when you look at the quality of those teams, there is no reason why Newcastle should not be on the same level. We are currently punching far below our weight, and that's something I want to rectify. In Mike Ashley, I have a boss who can see that he's made some mistakes and wants to fix that. The board is supportive, and I have a very good team of staff to help make my job easier.

You obviously can't and won't reveal too much, but does this mean signings?

I think strengthening the team is one aspect where this club has faltered in the past. Without naming names or assigning blame, all I'll say is that too many people got away with mediocrity. Starting today, Newcastle is a club only for those seeking to achieve excellence. We've been happy with just enough for too long, but that's going to change. There are some excellent players out there, so there's no reason for us to sign average ones. We have shortlisted a few players who will improve our team, and we have also informed some of our current squad that they will need to seek out new opportunities.

What's the goal for this season?

I'm going to be bringing a new style of play to the team, so there's going to be a bit of a breaking-in period, which is to be expected. It's not likely that results will go our way until a few months in. Even then, we'll need a season to hit our best form. I think a top-half finish is fair enough for this year, as it will allow us to continue building without raising expectations too high. One thing I don't want is false hope before it's time.

Does that mean you wouldn't take a top-four finish if it came your way?

What am I, mad? Of course I'd take top four. I'd take it right bloody now!

Any message for people who think your lack of experience will hurt you?

None that's fit to be printed in decent company.

        Newcastle to offload 'average' deadwood

Less than a week into his new job as the man in charge of Newcastle United, and Indiblue has already made it clear that several of the club's players will be up for sale, terming the group 'average' and 'mediocre'. Among the players said to be on their way out are English pair Mike Williamson and Ryan Taylor, but perhaps the most surprising names on the list are two of the Toon's fan favourites Papiss Cisse and Hatem Ben Arfa.

Ben Arfa has been hit by injury since a productive 2011-12 campaign, but the Frenchman remains one of the most talented in the squad. Cisse, who scored 13 goals in 14 games during the latter half of that same season to put Newcastle into Europe for the first time in years, has been tame ever since. Both are among Newcastle's highest earners, and their sales would contribute to the club's financial well-being.

On the other side, Newcastle are thought to be in pole position to land Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku on loan for the entire season. Talks are said to be in advanced stages for Leeds United wing back Sam Byram, while the club has also expressed interest in Brighton forward and lifelong Newcastle supporter Will Buckley. The other players said to have caught Indiblue's fancy are Benfica prodigy Lazar Markovic, Arsenal misfit Lukas Podolski and his teammate Aaron Ramsey, and Zenit centre half Tomas Hubocan.

You better treat my boy's well. Newcastle was my favourite career ever and from what I saw that my career with them was the most well acclaimed I have posted.

You have a lot to love up to my friend /s. Hope you do well and with your career I see it going very differently to mine, with your emphasis on realism.

        Also, PARDEW OUT

After just losing shockingly to Hoffenheim the team from Berlin wanted revenge and Bayer Leverkusen were the victims. Ganchev's side was really hungry for goals and they got thirteen shots of which ten were on target. Hertha's star man Thomas Müller netted another hattrick which lead his side to victory. The first goal came in the eleventh minute after the German striker stole the ball and put the ball to the top left corner. Fifteen minutes later Gareth Bale made it two after cutting in from the right. Ten minutes later Müller got his second with a header as Hertha were dominating. About half an hour later Alberto Moreno made an attacking run which was spotted by Kovacic who played the ball to the left back. The Spaniard turned past the defenders in the box and shot the ball past Zieler in goal. Four minutes later Memphis Depay added another to the scoreline and in stoppage time Müller scored his penalty. Hertha completely dominated Leverkusen who had only two shots in the whole game.

          Press Conference

Congratulations on becoming first in the league!

Thank you, but you can't say that's surprising.

          What's your opinion on that?

Like I said, that doesn't surprise me but of course I'm really happy about us being up there. Like I said, we continued playing our own dominant game and, like I said, Wolfsburg dropped points. The most important thing is that the guys are enjoying their game.

You beat Dinamo in the Champions League by one goal. Can you beat them in the home leg?

Once again, Like. I. Have. Said. I'm hundred per cent sure we will beat that poor little team who play like Stoke.

There is a lot of speculation going around about you joining Real Madrid after this season. Is it true?

For now I can say that only team I'm focusing on is Hertha and I don't care about any other team at the moment. What will happen after this season, only God knows. If we manage to win the treble I may leave, but I may stay. It all depends on what I feel in my heart.

If you didn't get what I meant with the last question, it's about my first career in FIFA 15 which will be with RM. I will post it here but I don't expect it to last that long. After that career I'll do one with someone from the BPL and after that I'll start my big and long career with..... Hertha BSC. I can't wait, only two days left! Also, I got through everything on this update today and the last game was played right before writing this update. I'm pretty sure I can play through three months in two days.

The year of FIFA 14 is coming to an end. I would like you to share your best memories of the careers you have posted here!

One more suggestion: How about doing a "Best Career of the Year" vote in which everyone votes for the best careers in their opinion? Just a suggestion.

Thank you for reading this post! Any feedback and suggestions will be appreciated!

Pretty much played FIFA until I tired myself out and then found other stuff to do and then went back to playing FIFA. Of course I can't say that to her though. Haha

That's exactly what I'm expecting, as well. If I fail now there won't be a second chance... with the same players, at least. In FIFA 15 the squad is looking great with Kalou, Stocker and Ronny. The budget is eight million so I'll think carefully who to buy. Maybe I can get Kovacic and Bale again. I just need to start playing better against good teams and I need to defend well for the treble.

Maybe I used Pellegrini's words but I think Ganchev is more like Mourinho. Really confident, trashtalking and furious on the sidelines

sofifa just updated to all of the FIFA 15 rosters. I think once I've played this Morecambe career through I'll probably give in and buy it. I'm thinking of either starting Morecambe over again, or to maybe go for Southampton (I really like their squad and their kits, one of the teams I've enjoyed watching the most this season so far). It all depends on what career modes get started up in the mean time since I'll be going forward with my 14 Morecambe for a while longer.

Sweet I'm gonna have to go check it out! My plans have been to go as far as I can with Wimbledon and then buy '15. I'm hoping the playing style didn't change too much though since overall I like the way '14 plays.

We have the exact same trophies haha, except I have the J. Paint Trophy from my year in League 1.

I might go until I can win either the Premier League or the Champions league. Who knows maybe further. But I want to win one of those two before I call it quits on 14.
