I forgot to post these in my last update but I do have a highlight for you guys, this is Gabriel's goal against Granada CF in Copa Del Rey. It was a beautiful strike from an equally beautiful pass from Paredes.

Also I was so caught up with my best prospect in the academy (Nigerian winger) that I overlooked this guy who will hopefully stay in the academy until May then come in to replace Navarro at RB next year (his ratings are starting to decrease). Check him out, is he great or what?





He was also found while scouting for wingers. I'm telling you guys Japan and South Korea have some hidden gems. It's the perfect place to send your scouts to in low budget CM's.

Those are the results, pretty solid, just want to throw in that Torres is leading the league in goals with 7, with Benzema right behind at 6. Ronaldo currently only with 3 while Messi has 2. Benzema is leading the league with 5 assists, so he is having a very nice season. Torres sits at 2 assists. Here is the press conference.

Q: Who do you think is performing the best currently on the team?


A: I believe the whole team is doing well, however, Benzema and Torres are our two stand outs.


Q: What did you think of this month's results?


A: All in all I think they were good, it was a bummer to draw with Real Madrid when it looked like we had it, but still, drawing with Real Madrid is a step in the right direction.


Q: There are rumors of you getting international offers. Any truth to that?


A: No, no offers have been made. I have talked with Portugal, but there was no offer.


Q: Is international management something you would pick up?


A: For sure, but right now I am focused on Atletico Madrid and Atletico Madrid only.

As you can see I was finally beaten by Juventus in Champions League. I felt disappointed as I could do anything against them, it was like playing against rocks, they were physically much better than us, and we weren't able to pass if I'm realistic. Moreover, every rebound was for them, every shot Buffon was there..., more rebounds...

I'm happy cause we won the league. I could seem that it was easy but it wasn't. It was only in the final two months, when we won against Benfica and Sporting, and they lost some matches against mid-table teams, when it was decided. But I don't feel it was easy at all!

Scouting Network Set Up
Southend United have set up a scouting network in Scotland to add more youth to the side. Looking forward to May 1st, the day youth coaches review their players and decide if they're ready for the first team, Surajreet9 has opted to get more youngsters into the team and has also made plans for next year, where he will set up scouting in England and Argentina.

After a match filled January, Southend were quite surprised to have only three games in the month of February. Their first match of the month came against third placed Chesterfield, a team that had mounted a title challenge early on in the season but failed to keep it up, allowing Portsmouth to slip into second. Leonard opened the scoring with a classic finish into the bottom right after being set through by Luke James. Portsmouth fought back and hit the bar early on in the second half but James Hanson finished the game with a back post header following a cross from White.

Southend United defeated Fleetwood Town 2-0 to extend their lead at the top of the table. Fleetwood had no answer to the Southend attack and in the 24th minute, Christian Jolley scored after being set through on goal by Laird. Jolley completed the scoring by scoring off of an Egan header that deflected off the post into his path.

The scoreline did not reflect the events of the match as Southend ripped Burton Albion to shreds in Roots Hall. Hanson could have had a hat trick in the first 15 minutes while Leonard and James also missed huge opportunities to put Southend forward. Hanson got on the scoresheet after powerfully heading the ball into the net on a corner. Gornell doubled their lead with a mazy run through the defense and slotted the ball into the far post. McGurk offered an unrealistic fight back for Burton Albion and it was finished when Clifford scored a deflected effort from Gornell.

A very drab match with horrible, rainy conditions. Both teams played keep away and rarely attacked so no players could get injured on the highly slippery surface. Hanson got his goal from a long shot that was deflected into the net by an Exeter player. They were not down for long as Thompson conceded the most ridiculous penalty of all time. Richards had been the one to take Thompson but the penalty fell to the Exeter player, who finished it with no problems. The rest of the match had no further incidents.

Terry Gornell met up with his former club as Southend United faced Cheltenham Town in league action. Much was made of the topic of Gornell and his return but McGlashan stole the show. He scored a beautiful looping header to put Cheltenham 1-0 up but Gornell had other ideas, receiving a cross from the right and volleying it straight in to the net. The rest of the match was boring as Cheltenham played for the point while Southend tried to play for all three to no avail. It is the second consecutive draw for Southend.

AFC Wimbledon 0-4 Southend United

Much was made of the comment by Surajreet9 that Southend will be able to increase their goal difference against Wimbledon today and he was right, blowing away the Dons in a wonderful display of attacking football. James opened the scoring with a looping header over Worner before a defensive mixup put the ball into the now 19 year old's path and he made no mistake, smashing it into the top corner. Wimbledon had no response and just rolled over under all the attacks, culminating in the goal of the game from James. Hanson lifted the ball over the defense for James and the striker chipped it with one touch over Worner. ChicoBass was seen applauding the striker's goal. Wimbledon threatened a fight back in the second half and hit the post but Hanson wrapped up the game with a simple finish to crush AFC Wimbledon. Surajreet9 commented after the match. "I was surprised that we managed to score four. I was anticipating a much harder game but we usually save these types of games for Wimbledon."

Surajreet9 was unable to attend the match following a two match ban placed upon him for his comments about AFC Wimbledon. Eastwood was given coaching responsibilities for the game.

Surajreet9 served the second match of his suspension as York City surprisingly beat the league leaders 1-0 to move up to 12th.

Southend United 1-0 Bristol Rovers
Clifford 10'
Ryan Leonard described this game as "one of the toughest matches I will ever play." It was truly a difficult match for Southend as Bristol managed to shut almost every attack down and were able to get past the Shrimpers defense with shocking ease. Conor Clifford got the only goal of the match when Hanson lifted the ball over the defense and the midfielder took a touch before smashing it into the far side of the net. The rest of the match had so much tension that all of the personnel on both benches were on their feet, yelling at their respective sides. It was a titanic clash at Roots Hall as Southend edged Bristol to wrap off a wonderful month.

Thoughts
The team is performing together very well. James, Leonard and Hanson were the best players this month and hopefully, they can help wrap the title up quickly. I don't know about Hanson though. He doesn't feel like the powerhouse I had in Futács and seems to be more of a creator for James than a strong dominating forward. I hope that changes. Anyways, I'm happy with the team and the next update will probably be the last of the season because I play only one match in May. I actually wrote this update very late and I fell asleep lol so that's why I'm submitting it now. Hope you liked it!

Those are the results. This month I played Reus at CAM, and Griezmann ended up disappearing at LM. I think I'm going to get rid of the LM and make it a LCM when a bring in a new target... want a spoiler? No? Getting it anyways. Marco Van Ginkel. I still plan to sell Reus because he played decent, but he isn't worth the money I bought him for, or the money I can sell him for. So, with that, here's the press conference.

A: Yes, very. We have a few players who could perform better, but other than that it's been fantastic.

A: I will not tell you now, although you will probably find out in January as they are expected to leave.

Everything on this thread is in good fun I don't know how I would feel if you would have just completely duplicated the exact same roster I have lol yep that league position sounds just about right. Now you can see why I wasn't able to start a youth academy until my 2nd season. I've kept a lot of the original players I'd say more than half. I still have a League 2 core and trust me all of those players have outgrown their potential. I'd take Gornell over Suarez any day of the week by the way he's been dominating with me

Press Conference

Q: What an unbelievable month. That is as close to the definition of dominant as a team can get. Each month this team seems to get better, how much further could this club possibly go?

A: The sky is the limit. What we did this month was unbelievable. To not concede in league play for an entire month is no small accomplishment. It is an effort that can be attributed to the entire team and no one player. We still have so much more we want to accomplish and to prove. Watch out for Morecambe.

Q: Is it any coincidence that this defensively dominant month happens during James Watson's first full month between the sticks with the senior squad?

A: James has been unbelievable, but like I said earlier, it has been an effort from the entire team. Proof of that is also the clean sheet that Itandje kept in the cup match. We hope that this run continues, it certainly helps the attackers to have this much confidence in the back line as we do now.

Q: The quality of James Watson and Jack Bowditch has everyone very intrigued by your academy. Is there more players that we can expect to have the impact these two have had so far?

A: There are certainly other players in our academy now that we can foresee being quality players for this club. As for any of them making an impact this season, that is tough to say. I don't ever want to bring a player up before I feel is ready and normally our evaluation period is at the end of the season. George Humphreys has been very impressive though and I would say that as of right now he is the closest to earning himself a spot on the senior squad.
