    Press Conference

Q: After a another great month in league play you are now on top of the table by 9 points. This type if control over League 1 so far is something that none of the experts would have predicted. What would you say to everyone who doubted Morecambe is the reason for this success?

A: Our players are on great form right now. They are playing as some of the best in the league currently. Last month it was Chris Hussey to be named player of the month, and this month it was Marcus Marshall. The great play of our two wingbacks has been vital in our success since they are such a great representation of how well our attack as well as our defense goes. I think we will continue to go as they go throughout the season.

Q: A thriller of a win to advance in the J. Paint Trophy. You stated last year that even though many write this tournament off, you still saw it as a priority. Does that still hold true for you this year?

A: Any chance to win a trophy we won't take for granted. We were happy to advance in the match against Bristol Rovers. We felt confident going into extra time and that confidence paid off when Ryan Williams struck home the winner late into extra time. We hope to keep advancing in the competition and have a shot at winning the trophy.

Q: After struggling at the start of the season, Abel Molinero seems to have really found his form this month. What do you think were the reasons for the early struggles and the turnaround as of late?

A: Abel came from a foreign country and he has had to adjust to life outside of Spain for the first time. It's a transition that is seen in most players making a move like that. Now that he has settled down and gotten more comfortable with his surroundings as well as his teammates he has become exactly what we were expecting when we signed him on. He is a deadly attacking option and we always envisioned him as a key component in our attack.

      Indiblue,
I've got a Portsmouth Career. I'm a few games into my second season, had pretty easy runs in the cups so went pretty far in those to bank some much needed money. I also got promotion in my first so now in league 1.
Portsmouth have a few good young players I really like Wallace, Bradley. They also have a few dependable players in their mid 20's.
With the lack of money and prestige I invested in youth scouts as you should have enough good players to fight for promotion in league 2 as it stands. I thought it best to invest in my clubs future that way when I do reach the higher levels my young fellas will be up to the challenge thus freeing up some money. Money is the biggest challenge in the first couple of years with a lower league team.
I prefer to do career modes with lower teams and bringing the team and young stars up, I love having the underdog status. As well as 'hopefully' (by gaining promotion) not playing the same teams over and over.
I hope your career goes well if you are choosing a lower league team.

So, I feel like a complete mess. I can't seem to find the CM I want to stick with. The Sampdoria career, I couldn't find a purpose. So I think I have finally found a purpose. It is... Revive Torres. Someone had suggested it about 100 pages back, nobody ever picked it up, so here I am. My goal of my next CM is to revive Fernando Torres' career. I think I'm going to be moving Zenit to the BPL, although if you have any other suggestions I am open to hearing them. I would prefer a team with somewhere 30's in mil of money [$] and not the best squad. I realize Zenit have a lot more, they just seem to be a good fit. In the Rest Of World there is FC Shahktar, although I'm not sure if Jamie is doing them or not... anyways the goal of this CM is to REVIVE FERNANDO TORRES!

PS: Maybe Sevilla is even an option, and if so, I think I'd stay in La Liga...

**clears throat** you're welcome. lol I've been wanting to do this myself but never got around to it except I think I would stay with Chelsea. I've been waiting for someone to pick it up so really looking forward to seeing how it goes for you!

Sevilla would be great! Or maybe even Atletico? Since they just sold Costa and Villa and that's the club where Torres made a name for himself. It would be kind of like a welcome home story. Sevilla would be a great choice though!

First of all: Simp, sorry that the anger bang came against your boys. I didn't have the heart to say it when I first announced that I had a breakout game with 4 goals. Don't take it personally but I can't tell you how good that felt. That game actually marked the return of the 4-1-2-1-2 as I realized I just don't have the speed to run a true 4-3-3 right now. The game against Granada was a bit tougher but happy to go into the second leg with the 2-0 edge and without giving up a goal at home. If you remember Granada is the team I was neck to neck with for the final promotion spot in Liga Adelante last season. I played both of the friendlies, the second game with all the subs, and the win against Uruguay needs to come with an asterisk because I'm pretty sure they played some subs as well (no Suarez or Cavani). The Real Madrid game was a roller coaster of emotions: first of all Neuer is their goalie, nevertheless Farago banked a shot from outside to put us up early. That excitement didn't last long as Isco promptly cashed in on a lost ball in the midfield. When Ronaldo scored the 2-1 part of me thought "here comes the beatdown" but we really hung in there, played some really good defense, and Gabriel returned the favor by cashing in a mistake by RM's back line. I thought I might be able to steal a point at the Bernabeu but Casemiro killed the dream near the end. Regardless it was a good game for our psyche as we played RM punch by punch. Malaga's position near the top of the table is no fluke, they have a really solid team and the boys left it all out on the field and deserved the draw.

As you can see most teams have played their 16th match. My next game is against Real Sociedad and a win against them would not only put me back in 10th place but also leave me just two points behind them for that coveted 6th spot (my goal at the moment). I only have two more league games after that in December vs Valencia and at Barcelona. After that I play the second leg of Copa Del Rey before going into the Christmas break. No Venezuela games as the FVF has reviewed my performance and has offered me to re-sign with them but I'm stalling to see what other international offers come my way. Portugal offered me the very next day. Both offers don't expire until February so I have some time. I would love an offer from Argentina although I would also be tempted by USA.

As you may have noticed my strikers are hot at the moment and Gabriel is up to 7 league goals (8 in all competitions) while Farago is up to 5 after they each scored 3 times in 4 games this month. Our captain the two seasons prior to this one, Serran, has realized that we have moved on from him and as a result he's requesting to be sold and I will grant his wish. I just need to bring a replacement for him since he's my only legit backup CB. I'm still not sure how I will approach the winter transfer window for which I have about $5 million to spend at the moment.

Guys this is my last roll of the dice for a Career Mode in FIFA 14. If this doesn't work out I'll probably wait until FIFA 15 to start a new career mode. Hopefully in the Championship (If they have their own stadiums). I'll will be starting a Wolverhampton Career Mode. I did a Wolves career mode earlier on and loved it. however, half way through the first season took an offer from Ajax before things got bad. I want to promote Wolves to the Premier League before the close of FIFA 14.

              Updates coming soon

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

Hi guys, I was a few days away. Nice to see those updates!

I'm gonna update my Porto career with March and April. As an advanced, we're leaders of the Portuguese League with 10 points difference from Sporting Portugal, and 11 from Benfica, only lasting 4 matches, so if we win next game against Vitoria Setubal, we're champions.

In Champions League, we're on the Semifinals, finally beating Bayern in eight-finals (1-0 at home and 0-0 away), and Barcelona in quarter-finals (2-2 away and 3-0 at home). We're gonna play against Juventus, first match away. The other semifinal is Real Madrid-Dortmund, they've already plàyed the first match, with a Dortmund victory 0-2 at Bernabéu.

So, I have 3 more matches in April, the two semifinal matches against Juventus and the match against Vitoria Setubal, and I'll post. Well, they're decisive matches, so this Spanish night I hope I can play them!

Nice results there, lad. I'd suggest Nathan Ake as a replacement for Serran, if you're fine with H/M work rates on a CB. If you want a Spaniard, Israel Puerto from Sevilla and Nacho Fernandez from Real Madrid are both great.

Yeah, I've finally hit that same frame of mind. If I can't get into my latest career, I'm just giving up and playing FUT until the new game comes out. I decided against Montpellier since it'd only take 2-3 seasons before winning the title, so I'm going with Bristol City. Should be fun to compare since we're both going to be in League 1, hopefully that makes it more interesting for us both.

I did this in FIFA 13, but I stayed with Chelsea. I kinda succeeded, too...

Season 1: 17 goals, 2nd place in EPL, UCL semis, FA Cup final
Season 2: 26 goals, 1st place in EPL, UCL final, FA Cup win
Season 3: 38 goals, 1st place in EPL, UCL win, FA Cup semis
Season 4: 40 goals, 1st place in EPL, UCL final, FA Cup win
Season 5: 33 goals, 2nd place in EPL, UCL win, FA Cup win
Season 6: 56 goals, 1st place in EPL undefeated, UCL win, FA Cup win

Then he retired at 33 or 34. Ridiculous. His stats didn't even go down because he was doing so well. A couple, like sprint speed and agility, went a few down, but his finishing and shooting all went up, even at 31 and 32. I remember his finishing peaked at 91 at the age of 32, that was ridiculous. But then it was wicked easy to score in FIFA 13. I'd win games 4-0, 5-0 on World Class and 3-0, 3-1 on Legendary. No challenge.

I've hit that as well. It happened last year as well but I'm starting to get burned out in general. I might start playing different games if I don't enjoy my next career

Wait, so you only play FIFA? That might explain it. I have to recommend Dark Souls 2 if you haven't tried it yet. Either way, it's nothing FIFA 15 won't fix with its brilliant features for PS3/X360 such as NEW KITS and UPDATED ROSTERS! YAY! </sarcasm>

Wow so many close results. You're so close to the 6th spot still! Reminds me of my Deportivo career when I was sitting around where you were for most of the season and then I went on a great run at the end of April through May hoping to get a top 6 spot and somehow got 4th since all the points were so close in the table. I don't know which of your careers I enjoy more! I'm always looking forward to reading both updates.
