I don't know what Chico and Rabbit would do but if I was them I would block you, ignore you, find out where you live and come to knock on your window with scary masks in the night and destroy your computer. If I were you I would have slapped your fiancé and I would have thrown the game out. Alright, I might be kidding but I hope you can finish the Morecambe career. If you can't do that I'm really looking forward to your next career.
I'm thinking I'm going to go with a different team other than Morecambe. I'm going to use the same character of Tex Bumosix and play off an alternate reality version of my Morecambe career. I am going to play off as if my first year at Morecambe just happened, and now I will be moving on to another club, but for a reason. It's a secret right now as to what that reason is and how it will all work out and tie together.

Interesting, although I think I'd rather avoid the consequences.

What do you guys think of me using a financial takeover in my Hull career. It is realistic considering the club is up for sale. Let me know and I'll decide whether to use it or not

I don't see any problem with it. Especially since there are so many ways to invest the money. It's one thing to buy big name players from big clubs to come play at Hull, but another to buy several good players, or top prospects from lesser leagues. Ultimately you are a Premier League team and that is a selling point to bring in names in itself, especially those who still have something to prove.

And regardless of how you use that money, if you do it in a way that you enjoy and build a team that you feel you can have fun sharing with us, then that's all the better! The more into their teams people get the better.

                      DECEMBER

                      EUROPA LEAGUE

                      LOKOMOTIV MOSCOW 1–3 TOTTENHAM
A tough trip to Russia awaited a Spurs side that had struggled in the Europa League coming into the match, but Soldado looked to erase those difficulties when he netted in the 19th minute. However, disaster struck right on half time as N’Doye equalised from the spot after he was brought down by Kaboul, who was subsequently sent off. But Tottenham started the second half as well as the first and regained the lead when Soldado’s misplaced shot took a cruel deflection and found the back of the net. 6 minutes later Etienne Capoue headed in an Aaron Lennon cross, effectively killing off Lokomotiv and sending Spurs top of the group.

                      BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE

                      TOTTENHAM 2–0 CRYSTAL PALACE
Emmanuel Adebayor continued his goal/game ratio when he headed in a Chadli cross just 12 minutes in. Palace created a host of chances but failed to convert any of them, and when Townsend struck a bullet into the top corner half an hour, it was curtains for Neil Warnock’s men, who’s strikers will certainly have to put in a bit more practice in the coming weeks.

                      SWANSEA CITY 0–1 TOTTENHAM
Spurs were top by 3 points ahead of this game but what followed was a very tight match. Neither side could find the break-through in the 1st period, but the introduction of Roberto Soldado changed proceedings as his quick feet and drilled low cross gave Andros Townsend an opportunity to win the game he simply couldn’t miss, handing the visitors a very gritty 3 points.

                      EUROPA LEAGUE

                      TOTTENHAM 2–0 RB SALZBURG
Tottenham that any result other than defeat would guarantee themselves a place in the knockout stages of the stages of the competition, but all 3 points were give them top spot, and the potential of an easier draw. It was a blazing start from the home side but they couldn’t find the goal to settle any nerves in the first period. 9 minutes into the second half however, Christian Eriksen got through on goal and finished superbly from a tight angle under pressure. At Salzburg pushed forward for the equaliser, there were more gaps in their defence, and Roberto Soldado capitalised making sure that the North Londoners finished top of the group.

                      BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE

                      CHELSEA 1–0 TOTTENHAM
It was a massive game for both sides, and Spurs knew if they won they could go 5 points clear at the top. But it was Chelsea who started quickest, Diego Costa hitting the post just 3 minutes in. Tottenham gathered more and more confidence as the half progressed but neither side could break the deadlock. The second half was of a similar story and Chelsea should have been ahead but for some heroics from Hugo Lloris, keeping the away side in it. But the killer blow came in the very last minute, as Hazard’s cross was met by the head of Costa, who finally won his duel with Lloris. Spurs almost snatched an even more dramatic equaliser with the last kick of the game but a remarkable save from Cech denied Adebayor and gave Chelsea a massive 3 points.

                      LEICESTER 2–2 TOTTENHAM
The visitors were looking to respond from their heart-breaking defeat at Stamford Bridge and they got off to a perfect start when Roberto Soldado tucked home a penalty after being bought down by Kasper Schmeichel who somehow got away without seeing red. 12 minutes later and Spurs were 2 up; Christian Eriksen this time the man with an excellent curling effort that nestled into the bottom corner. Tottenham held the 2 goal lead until the 70th minute when after some scrappy play, the ball fell to Danny Drinkwater who smashed in from short range. The pressure was growing and in the 90th minute, David Nugent grabbed an equaliser slotting past Lloris to complete a remarkable comeback.

                      TOTTENHAM 0–4 MANCHESTER UNITED
Tottenham were in need of a win to calm Christmas nerves but they were simply outclassed by a dominant United side. Ander Herrera opened the scoring before half time, and the Red Devils never looked back. Robin Van Persie doubled their advantage shortly after half time and substitute Falcao demonstrated his strength and class by finishing well. Youngster Wilson grabbed a 4th late on to add insult to injury in an emphatic victory over a very disappointing and fatigued Tottenham side.

Standings at the end of December

After 19 games (Spurs and Everton have played 18)

                      1) Chelsea 40 points
                      2) Liverpool 40 points
                      3) Manchester City 39 points
                      4) Everton 38 points
                      5) Tottenham 37 points

                      Europa League table

                      1) Tottenham 13 points
                      2) Lokomotiv 10 points
                      3) RB Salzburg 7 points
                      4) Zulte-Waregem 4 points

Monthly review: After a promising start to the month things turned sour following the defeat to Chelsea. It was a tough game and they deserved the victory but what followed at Leicester was unacceptable. Then there was the United game, and 3 games in a week had clearly crippled my squad. Just to note half way through the month I turned the sliders in the CPU’s favour as I felt my position was unrealistic and wanted more of a challenge. On the European front though, a good win against Salzburg means that we will PAOK in the knockout stages, so we expect to progress comfortably. Plus the transfer window has opened and it is my first on the game so I can’t wait to actually buy a player. On a more negative note…I have Chelsea in the league again on the 1st of January.

Well I'd say go for Everton or Southampton as they are not being done at the moment. Jwetson is doing Spurs at the mo and if you were Everton I'd have a rival

First of all, wilkommen (German is close enough to Dutch) to the thread! It's always nice to get new guys here. I hope you enjoy it here.

Secondly, let's talk about your shortlist. Out of the teams you listed at least ManU, Liverpool and Spurs are being done so I wouldn't go with them. Southampton would be interesting because they don't have much depth and they sold their stars. Newcastle would be interesting aswell because of their squad and budget. You could also try PSV because it's your favourite club.

                            Morecambe Confirm Three Record Signings

After an inspiring campaign last season culminated in a second place finish and a Champions League berth, Morecambe appear to be swinging for the fences this season as they bring in big signings to improve on an already impressive squad. It appears that Tex Bumosix wanted to improve across all aspects of the squad as he brought in one of each of a forward, midfielder, and defender. The first signing confirmed was that of Feyenoord's Jean-Paul Boetius. That was followed by the signing of the central defender Eric Dier. And lastly, the signing of James Ward-Prowse rounded off the transfer window.

                            Jean-Paul Boetius

Jean-Paul Boetius is a left sided forward accustomed to playing on the wing at Feyenoord. He joined the Dutch side's academy at only 6 years old, and rose through the ranks to become an important first team player, and one of the most promising prospects in Dutch football. At Morecambe he will be asked to play slightly more inside than he is used to, but it appears that Morecambe are confident that he will pair well with right sided player Nadir Ciftci.

                            Eric Dier

The English central defender has spent his entire career in Portugal after moving away from England at just 10 years old. He quickly caught on with the Sporting CP academy, and became an important player to their defense by the end of his time there. Now he is returning to England to join the Premier League club Morecambe to partner with Scotish wonderkid Ryan Miller. Dier has represented England on all youth levels and just recently began getting infrequent call ups for the senior squad. With his return to England, his career has a chance to take off like never before.

                            James Ward-Prowse

The young Southampton product came bursting on to the senior scene in 2011 and established himself as a player for the future with the club. After several successful seasons with the club, the decision was made to move on as another Southampton youth product secured a transfer to a Premier League team. Morecambe get a versatile player that will be able to play all across Bumosix's midfield diamond. His versatility and his talent will earn him playing team fairly quickly for his new club.

Stoke City have announced the shock replacement to succeed Mark Hughes as unknown manager Stuart Brown. In a press conference Brown expressed his desire to invest in the youth academy and young upcoming players. The local lad Brown looks likely to bring a upheaval in the current squad.
