Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Yeah pretty much. If you use the default then that's Tactical Defending. I used Legacy back in '13 and it was indeed easier but like I said you just hold down a button and let your player charge the ball. Wasn't as rewarding as Tactical is.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Tbh I had no idea what either were. Turns out I use tactical and always have. Personally I find defending easy this FIFA whereas most people I talk to find it so much harderComment

Karl Darlow: Loan to Ipswich
Jamaal Lascelles: Loan to Wigan
Haris Vuckic: Loan to Nottingham Forest
Ayoze Perez: Loan to Brighton
Rolando Aarons: Loan to QPR
Match 1
Manchester United 1-2 Newcastle
Murnane 53
Rooney 61
Bony 90
We took the lead in this match through one of the two youth academy products that made it to the team before the game glitched and sent my best YA player into my team but unusable and the rest of my YA inaccessible. He headed in from Kampl's free kick. Rooney equalised, smashing into the top corner after a one-two with RVP. However we won it in stoppage time, new signing Wilfried Bony tapping in from close range after Lindegaard failed to stop Aarons' low ball in.
Match 2
Newcastle 1-0 Everton
Oliveira 86 (PEN)
Our second match of the season was against the reigning champions and they showed why, defending valiantly and forcing Begovic into some brilliant saves. We only won it late on when Riviere was brought down by Baines and substitute Nelson Oliveira stepped up to convert the penalty.
Match 3
QPR 1-2 Newcastle
Bony 4
Pattie 22
Dzsudzsak 63 (PEN)
Bony opened the scoring after an incredible move from kickoff. The ball was played out to Kampl who played a brilliant ball through to Clyne who made a terrific bending run down the outside. He ran onto the ball and flicked it into the box for Bony to volley in from close range. Pattie equalised with a header after Colback was outpaced down the wing. Dzsudzsak regained the lead from the penalty spot after Delph was took out in the box with a 2 footed tackle by Sandro.
Thoughts
Time to talk about my signings and sales. Well first of all I sold Taylor and Marveaux as they were surplus to requirements before PSG put in a £15 million bid for Cabella. I asked for £25 mil and the said 23, which I accepted. I had been handed a £20 million budget initially and I used the money to buy a new striker of a higher quality and I chose Bony of Swansea who has worked out brilliantly with his power and strength. I then sold Santon for not as much as I would have liked but I didn't want to stagnate his progress which is exactly what was happening and there were no other suitors. De Jong went after an awful first season for a lot more money than I expected to get and Sissoko went for double his value. I bought in Barkley, last seasons top scorer as a long term replacement who will work in rotation with Ronnie for the season. Then after a lot of players left on loan, including Perez and Aarons, I bought in my favourite defender, Nathaniel Clyne giving away fibreglass man Daryl Janmaat. Medel came in to control the space in front of the defence while Delph ventures forward and Balasz came in as our winger for the season until Aarons comes back. Finally I brought in Clichy after a run of bad games for Colback.Playing: Nba 2k11 (360)

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
I like the defending on 15 more than 14, but I keep struggling with stopping the opponent from crossing.
Quick question: when you're not playing anymore do you put your PS4 on standby or shut it off?Comment

CB, Joseph Gomez - £200K
Joseph Gomez is a young versatile defender who can play both in the center and outside of the back line. He spent his youth career with Charlton Athletic, eventually making his senior debut in 2014. One of Charlton's most promising prospects, he caught the attention of Exeter City manager Tex Bumosix. With an opportunity to now play in the Premier League, he couldn't resist the chance to move on from his childhood club.
CDM, Dele Alli - £900K
Dele Alli is another young player joining Exeter City this summer. Widely regarded as one of the best prospects in League 1, he grew up in the MK Dons academy. He first appeared with the senior team at 16 years old, and established himself as one of the key players at the club. With Yoell van Nieff on the way out, Bumosix was looking to bring in another defensive midfielder to provide cover for the back line.
LB, Jack Robinson - £650K
Jack Robinson began his career in the Liverpool academy, making his debut at 16 years and 250 days old, a club record at the time. He went on successive loan spells to Wolverhampton and Blackpool, before eventually making a permanent move to QPR. He then spent time on loan with Huddersfield establishing himself as a consistent option on defense. Bumosix, was looking for options on the left side of the defense, and sees he potential that he was lauded for in his youth days. With another chance at the premier league, we will see if he finally lives up to the billing.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
I still can't believe Everton won the Premier League last season. Your league table was actually quite...uncommon. Taking Barkley off their hands might settle them down a bit, but seeing as they gave you a hell of a deal on him I wonder if they already have someone better than him on the squad making him less important to them. From your signings my favorite has to be Bony, I think he will play a key role in your attack. I've never used him, but he was one of those players that ALWAYS scored on me no matter how good I defended against him. Is Ronaldinho still holding his own? IRL he didn't do too well with Queretaro this past season but you can definitely still see his class with the ball at his feet.
Any update on the YA glitch?Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
I turn it off and be done with it. I see no real benefit of putting it on standby. Btw when I get PS+ I will message you and Simp with my name. My dad set it up and I'm waiting for the ability to change the name lolComment

How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Love the fact that all three of your signings were English players. Your budget is insulting though. Glad to see you made the most you could out of it. I hope Jack Robinson becomes an important player for you just like he was for me at Wimbledon. I looked him up on SoFIFA just now and it looks like his potential was decreased significantly. He still has decent pace and defending stats but his crossing is poor now. I hope that since you're 4 seasons in he has already grown into a solid player and continues to grow as you play him. He was an attacking left back in 14. Also good job on rescuing Dele from MK Dons. :PLast edited by _ChicoBass; 01-02-2015, 11:25 PM.Comment

Any update on the YA glitch?
I'm so pissed at the YA glitch it's unreal, and it's happened to others on the EA forum. EA just don't care about Career mode. Once I signed someone from the YA I cannot access it without the game crashing. I put so much money into that academy. Murnane is the only real prospect I got out of it because the other Spaniard won't get much of a chance in the team. The thing I'm most annoyed about is my Japanese youngster being on my contract list but not in the team. He was the best player in my YA by far so I decided to call him up along with Murnane and the other guy. I had an English centre-back who's 15 currently between 65-70 overall with 94 potential. I had a USA defensive mid with 92 potential. A Belgian winger with 91 potential and a Brazilian striker with 93 potential. Every player in my Academy had 85 potential minimum. It was so good and EA have just ****ed me over completely. It pisses me off so much.
Rant over.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Ah okay good to see I'm not the only one that shuts it off since there's a lot of people that say that it's bad for the system to shut off and then be turned on since all the parts go from doing nothing to working full speed in seconds, but the way I see it if Sony put the option there then I doubt it does any real damage. If I'm off work I usually leave it on standby since I know I'll come back to it. If I'm going to sleep and I work the next day I shut it off since I'll be gone for minimum 8 hours. The only benefits I see from it being on standby is that it can download system updates, charge your controller, and download updates from Playstation Plus but since I don't have Plus right now I don't see a reason to leave it on standby. I can charge my controller when I'm playing if I need to.
There you go always complaining about your name. Is it PrincessJamie or what? Lol jk I didn't even know you could change your PSN name.Comment
