I don't usually mingle with +80 overall players in career mode, so I can't really help you :/ however one of the players I wanted to bring to Osasuna before realizing he was rated a lot higher than I expected is Cristian Tello from Barcelona. He's a winger and that's not what you're looking for, but that's all I can think of that may match your criteria of less than 85 overall.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
So with Indi showing his tactics causing other too at the moment, and I being a trendy person myself :P. I would like to share the tactics i use and the tactics I will like to uses, regarding my Birmingham City Career Mode
Now I'm not as in depth as Indi but with him showing us his tactics, I do like my players to have specific work rates and want them to play the way I like.
So here is what my main starting 11 looks like at the moment.
">
As you can see or already know (if you have been following my CM) that I'm using a 4-1-2-1-2 narrow. This is due to it being a good possession formation where my three midfielders can start the attack (Spector, Reilly and Luongo) and pass it around trying to find the gaps with Gray being the creator or a CF striker.
I play with the possession tactic (if that what it's called, the one with counter attack, high pressure etc.), I don't know the numbers due to not being with my Xbox.
So the CB have the default tactics where they stay back during the attack. their work rates I prefer them to be M/H M/H. but I do mind if the combination's are M/H M/M, H/H M/H, H/H L/H, H/H M/M, M/M L/M and finally M/M M/M. I will never have H/M work rates in my centre backs due to with being up the field and creating huge space in the defence. M/H, M/H is ideal with my fullback always over lapping.
This does bring me too my fullbacks. ATM, they have M/M work rates each. this is not my preferred work rates but they do work. I like both FB to have the same work rates or at least the same attacking workrate. Ideally I love a FB with HM HH work rates. I want them to attack and then defend crosses with the DM and CB's do that tough defending. This is also why I like the 3 at the back formation.
With my CDM. I don't look really toward the work rate unless they have a high attacking work rate. I look to them having strength height and good tackling stats. This is why I bought Pape Camara on a free. Spector has been good this season. But I feel he is not my Ideal CDM for me. The tactics I have for the DM is cutting the lanes and staying back on defence.
My Center mids are probably my most important players in this formation. the either have H/H or M/H work rates. I normally have Luongo and Reilly starting but when I either play a second team or a defensive team I will either play Spector or Davis in the CM spot whilst Edgar gets pushed more forward into the DM spot. I normally don't change the tactics for Reilly and Luongo wanting them to use their work rates to full effect. With them tracking back and coming forward
My CAM in Gray is my make shift CAM for the season I don't mind my CAM having M/L work rates but prefer the CAM to have H/M work rates. With Gray, as he is natually a winger I've set the tactic of Free Roam and has worked well with him playing well behind our strikers and feeding them okay
Finally my strikers muat have a high attacking workrate with both Rantie and Thomas both having H/M workrates. Both players have the tactics set too press up on defence, get in behind the defence and stay central.
I just thought you guys might want to know how my team runs and with this tactic talk thought to join in.
One problem I do have though is the lack of width and that I want to change next season playing either a 3-4-2-1 or a 4-3-3.
Thanks for readingComment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Hmmm interesting. What other instruction do you have on Alamo? I've just added the "cut inside" instruction to Torres and it's been working out really well paired with his "free roam" instruction. He's not a fast player, but he still manages to always have the advantage during his runs down the wing.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
I started the new season, made my signings, wasn't satisfied and restarted the window, over, and over again. I'm struggling to make signings! I want to stick to Liverpool's policy over their wage structure so that writes off the likes of Aguero, Suarez, Boateng. I can basically sign world class players that aren't massive. So players no higher that 85/86 really. Any recommendations? I'm also looking for centre back depth, goalkeeping depth and centre mid depth. The only signing I made that I like was backup for Mignolet, Jan Oblak. Any help?
CM/CDM, Coquelin, Saul, Rabiot, Soriano, Kondogbia, Neves, Benetlab.
Hope I've helped a bit.Comment

How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
March 2017 - Season 3
FIFA 15 (PS4)
Athletic Bilbao 1 - 2 CA Osasuna
OSA: Palacios 42' Camarasa 65'
ATB: Susaeta 45'
Osasuna traveled to San Mames to face their local rivals Bilbao, and came out on top like the first time the two teams faced each other. Chavez came out with the 4-1-4-1 he's been using since Guillermo's injury, and it was really paying off with Ulises Davila tearing his marker Aurtenetxe apart. The Basque left back was really having a tough time keeping up with the Mexican winger, and his flank quickly became a one way avenue for Osasuna. Osasuna's first goal was proof of this, as Davila dribbled past Aurtenetxe on the wing and sprinted towards the end line. Davila had all the space he could ever dream of to send in a cross with his right, but instead he cheekily decided to cut back to cross with his left, and once again juked Aurtenetxe on the way. Aurtenetxe was on the ground for a second back to back failed slide tackle and Davila had more than enough space to cross. He sent in a beautiful left footed cross into the box which curved in and met with Federico Palacios who had lost his marker and was able to head the ball past Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Athletic Bilbao reacted just 3 minutes later though with Susaeta engaging in a wall pass with Iturraspe and then powering a shot past Riesgo right before halftime. Sergi Darder was taken off at the beginning of the second half and replaced by Vinuesa Ramos at CDM in order to help with the midfield recovery. 20 minutes into the second half, the former Bilbao player Isma Lopez anticipated Camarasa's run from midfield with a lobbed through pass which Camarasa controlled with his chest and then took a left footed shot on goal. He did not strike the ball well at all since it was with his weak foot, but the ball still managed to sneak in between Arrizabalaga's legs and go into the net!
Osasuna had taken the lead and they held it for the rest of the match to come out with the three points.
Real Sociedad 1 - 0 CA Osasuna (B-Team)
RSO: Castro 35'
It seems the B-Team have yet to recover from the devastating blow they took last month when they lost the club's undefeated home streak. Chavez experimented with a 4-4-2 Narrow Diamond which was working out extremely well in defense and midfield, but once again the attack was subpar to the rest of the team. Real Sociedad surprised everybody with a goal in the 35th minute since Osasuna had been the team on top until that point. Ulises Davila had started the match as RS with Kodro but was replaced by Manuel Onwu at halftime in order to give him some rest after playing with the First Team just two days prior to this match. The Kodro-Onwu partnership was completely ineffective though, and Chavez was visibly furious on the bench. Chavez shouted order after order from the sideline but it made little difference on the pitch, and the B-Team continue their poor run of form in attack.
Formation Talk
Okay, I'm done. Guillermo has been cleared by the medical staff which means that going forward I can use Ulises Davila with the B-Team more. So, I will be changing the B-Team's formation to the emergency 4-1-4-1 I used with the first team. What I'm doing is I am benching Kenan Kodro, who hasn't scored since November and that doesn't look like changing soon, and playing Davila up front as the lone striker like a more technical Palacios. Ramirez and Luque will be my wide men, Olavide and Nono will be my center midfielders, and Oier will keep the midfield together at CDM. I feel Olavide is ready and deserves to start with the B-Team, so this will be his chance. This is what it will look like.
Also, Ivan has been terrible but I still have hope. His poor performances with the B-Team have proved to me that he is not the attacking fullback I wanted him to be. Even though he has the speed, dribbling, and crossing ability to be that fullback he struggles doing both attacking and defending. Going forward I will remove his instruction to "always overlap" and instead just leave it balanced. That way his main role will be to defend, but he is free to move forward when he feels comfortable to do so instead of forcing him to be a player he is not. If his form does not pick up after this change, then I am afraid he is not the player Osasuna needs and will be leaving the club in the next transfer window. With the struggle I had to go through to bring him in I do hope I can find the way to make him work at his best.
Europa League - Round of 16 (1st Leg)
CA Osasuna vs Arsenal FC
An incredibly exciting match that kept the fans on their feet the entire ninety minutes. Wenger sought to expose Osasuna's slow centre backs by starting Danny Welbeck up front instead of the target man Oliver Giroud, and it was the perfect choice as Welbeck had an incredible match. There actually wasn't a single time he was dispossessed. However, Wenger's centre back pair of Mertesaker and Boateng were also prone to the much faster partnership of Palacios and Guillermo who just returned from injury.
SpoilerCA Osasuna 3 - 3 Arsenal FC
OSA: Lopez 25' Guillermo 37' Camarasa 62'
ARS: Ozil 45' 58' Welbeck 65'
Nothing was able to split these two teams in a match that was back and forth the entire ninety minutes. Both teams looked for the goal since kick-off but it was Osasuna who struck first. Arsenal made the mistake of pushing forward with too many men, and the Spaniards were able to capitalize with Sergi Darder initiating a counter attack by sending Isma Lopez a long ball into the space Arsenal's RB Debuchy had left. Lopez dribbled into the box and took a powerful shot on goal that just barely sneaked in under Szczęsny's arm.
Szczęsny had been having an incredible match prior to the goal but Osasuna's counter attacks were tearing his defense apart. Twelve minutes later they struck again this time with Palacios receiving a through pass from midfield and sprinting past the German international Mertesaker. Palacios waited for Szczęsny to come out and then passed the ball to Guillermo who was able to calmly shoot into the open net. An incredible way for him to get back into action following his injury.
Osasuna were ahead 2-0 but right before halftime Arsenal's top scorer Mesut Ozil shortened the distance by beating Romeu in the air and heading the ball past Riesgo. Arsenal's speed up front forced Osasuna's centre backs out of position which is why Romeu was left marking Ozil inside the box. In the second half Ozil would strike again but this time with a well placed shot from the edge of the box. Arsenal had come from a 2-0 margin to equalize at 2-2. However just four minutes after the equalizing goal Victor Camarasa put Osasuna back in the lead with a shot that deflected off of Boateng and went into the net. BUT then three minutes after that Danny Welbeck equalized for Arsenal again by beating Miguel Flaño in the air to head home an early cross from Theo Walcott. There was still plenty of time for more goals but neither team were able to get ahead anymore, although the match was still very much back and forth. With this scoreline there is still a lot to play for when Osasuna visit the Emirates next week, but Arsenal have three away goals in their favor; a huge advantage.
CA Osasuna (B-Team) 0 - 0 RCD Espanyol
Miguel Olavide made his first start with the B-Team, playing as the attack minded midfielder at LCM. The team was playing extremely well overall, holding possession with quick passing but also getting plenty of shots on goal. Unfortunately, that changed at approximately the 20th minute when Olavide went down after an aerial challenge and did not get back up. The 21 year old was forced to come off the field by an injury and was replaced by another homegrown player, Maikel Mesa. The B-Team completely went down after the injury and were no longer the exciting team that started the match. Espanyol finished the game as the better side since they were in complete control during the final minutes, but Osasuna's defense was top notch tonight. Pedro Bigas was given the Man of The Match award, which was quite surprising since he had been one of the B-Team's weakest players in recent matches.
INJURY NEWS
Miguel Olavide will be out for approximately 2 months due to a broken elbow he suffered in the match against Espanyol. Terrible news for the Spaniard who had just barely been given a starting role with the B-Team.
Europa League - Round of 16 (2nd Leg)
Arsenal FC vs CA Osasuna
After the 3-3 draw at El Sadar, Osasuna were the ones urged to attack. Arsenal on the other hand could advance with any draw of less than 3 goals, so they started the match focusing on defending the aggregate score. Arsene Wenger made some adjustments to his side for today, the most noticeable being that he dropped Per Mertesaker from the starting lineup, no doubt because of how much damage Osasuna caused with their counter attacks in the first leg. Instead, Koscielny started the match with Boateng as the centre back partnership.
SpoilerArsenal FC 1 (4) - (5) 2 CA Osasuna
OSA: Albentosa 21' Guillermo 30'
ARS: Welbeck 45'
Arsenal started the match focusing only on defending the aggregate scoreline, and it was going rather well for them with Boateng and Koscielny successfully neutralizing Palacios and Guillermo. Mertesaker's strength in the air was certainly missed though, as Osasuna took the lead in a corner kick which their own centre back giant Raul Albentosa was able to head the ball into the corner of the net.
Now without the pressure of having the away goals against them, Osasuna began to play much more calmly and try flashy plays. Just mine minutes after Albentosa's goal, Osasuna threw a bucket of cold water on the home team as Victor Camarasa sent a lobbed through ball forward from midfield towards Guillermo. Guillermo used his strength to keep Boateng behind him, and then his speed to lose him completely. Szczęsny came out for the one on one and it looked like he would get to the ball, but Guillermo cheekily chipped the ball over him and made it 2-0 for Osasuna.
Right before halftime Danny Welbeck pulled one back for Arsenal by beating Romeu in the air to score a header. Arsenal needed only one more goal to advance to the Quarter Finals and they had the entire second half to get it, but they were not able to find the net again. It was truly a nail biting ending as Osasuna defended with their lives, but they were able to successfully hold Arsenal and have advanced to the next round!
Osasuna will face some old ghosts in the next round, as they will have to play against their compatriots Sevilla for a ticket to the Semifinals. Sevilla eliminated Osasuna in this year's Copa Del Rey, and Osasuna have never gotten farther than Quarter Finals in the Europa League.
FC Barcelona 0 - 1 CA Osasuna
OSA: Palacios 64'
*This was the first time I gave Darder the "cut passing lanes" instruction*
A highly anticipated match as this was first vs second, although there [i]was[i] a gap of seven points between them. Osasuna's midfield was a lot more organized tonight with Sergi Darder staying back as a playmaker. Darder was key in breaking down Barcelona's attacks with impressive interceptions, and was also very important in the build up play. The only goal of the night came in the 64th minute as Victor Camarasa sent in a lobbed through ball from midfield similar to Guillermo's goal against Arsenal. This time his target was Palacios, who was unable to outrun his marker Dani Alves, but his first touch was perfect as Alves missed his tackle and gave Palacios the advantage to run into the box. Palacios then had the liberty to run into the penalty spot and power a shot past Bravo to give Osasuna the lead.
Barcelona aggressively looked for the equalizer and they were extremely close to finding it, but Osasuna's Riesgo was up to the challenge and denied all attempts on goal. Riesgo was actually given the Man of The Match award after completing the match with 12 saves and a clean sheet. The championship race has truly begun now, as the season is close to it's end and only 4 points separate first and second.
Europa League - Quarter Final (1st Leg)
Sevilla FC 0 - 1 CA Osasuna
OSA: Guillermo 21'
Only one goal separated the two teams, but Osasuna dominated the match as they finished with 57% possession. Sergi Darder was key in order to accomplish this, as he continues to excel in his newfound role. Not only did Darder control midfield, but he also assisted the only goal of the match in the 21st minute. Sevilla were trying to defend the same way they did against the B-Team in the Copa; by crowding their midfield and defense together to close all the spaces. This is a photo from the match against the B-Team where this tactic is visible, although in today's match the line wasn't as high:
Spoiler
However, the First Team has a lot more speed up front, and as soon as Darder saw Guillermo making his run he sent in a strong through ball from midfield that allowed Guillermo to expose Sevilla's high line. Guillermo would then dribble into the box and put the ball past Akinfeev with a shot from his left toe!
Sevilla had a difficult time getting forward as Osasuna controlled the majority of midfield, but Osasuna also struggled to get another ball past Igor Akinfeev who was in top form as usual. With only a one goal difference there is still everything to play for in the second leg, but Osasuna have the ever-so-important away goal in their favor.
CA Osasuna Player of The Month
CDM - Sergi Darder (Spain) (74 OVR 23yrs) (+1)
Darder became a crucial player for Osasuna in the second half of this month, as he excelled in midfield by roaming the area in front of the defenders while his teammates pushed forward in attack. His main role was to intercept plays and then look up to get an attack started, which he did so brilliantly. There had been rumors that Osasuna were planning on replacing Darder for a more defensive midfielder next season, but after his performances this month the chance that those rumors were true significantly decreased.

Youth Academy
No New Additions
** = Promoted to Senior Team
SpoilerAlex Garcia - CB (Mexico) (45-47, 80-86): The first and only CB in the academy, and with Miguel Flaño reaching the end of his era I am very anxious to see more reports on him. At 16 years old he stands at 6'2", and is considered Physically Strong. A perfect combination for a CB.
Alex Silva Gavan - RM (Spain) (59-63, 74-80): The 17 year old has decided to settle in at RM and is considered an attacker. With a 6'0" height he's a good fit pretty much anywhere on the field especially down the center, but he has decided he's most comfortable on the wing.
Chris Cropper - GK (United States) (49-53, 79-85): The third American goalkeeper to join the Youth Academy. At 17 years old he stands at 6'3" and his game is well balanced so far.
Chris Jamieson IV - GK (United States) (61-65, 78-84): Julian Rubin was the first American to join the academy, but now this 6'7" giant also from the United States has stolen the show as people are excited to see him between the sticks. At 17 years old he's looking like a solid candidate for a call up soon depending on how he shapes up with the U17s.
Eriq Lisch - GK (United States) (57-61, 88-94): The fourth and final American goalkeeper to join the academy. 17 years old, 6'1", and so far he looks like the most promising. From what we've seen of him with the U-17 he still needs to improve his positioning. Competition to be the first American to play for Osasuna is hot.
Eñaut Gabbiadini - CDM (Spain) (54-58, 72-78): The Spanish midfielder becomes the 2nd CDM in the academy, although at 15 years old he still has much to develop, including his height which is quite low for a CDM as he stands at 5'3".
*Turned 16, grew to 5'10*
Frost S. Napoles - CM (Spain) (55-59, 70-74): Technically Gifted has been the term used to describe the 17 year old midfielder from Spain, but we haven't seen enough of him with the U17 to say what his future holds.
Ivan Miranda - LW (Spain) (58-62, 81-87): The 16 year old has decided that the wing is where he is most comfortable with, and is a candidate for promotion in the future. He is quite short, standing at 5'9", but that isn't a problem since we will need him for speed not necessarily for his aerial ability.
Julian Rubin - GK (United States) (58-62, 73-77): Julian becomes the first player from the United States to join the Osasuna youth academy, and if he develops well enough he could even become the first ever American player to wear Osasuna's colors. The 16 year old goalkeeper could make history, but first he must show his class in the youth levels.
Luis Martinez - CM (Spain) (53-57, 87-93): I'm really glad he decided to settle in as a CM and not CB. Really looking forward to see how he grows in May. At only 15 years of age he still has much to grow as far as height though as he stands at 5'1".
Mario Santana - ST (Mexico) (49-53, 83-89): Really excited to see future reports on this kid from Mexico. He's described as "Physically Strong" and you know how much I like to play with a target man. The downside is that he's only 5'3", but he's still 15 years old so I'm hoping he'll grow closer to the 6 foot range.
*Santana has just turned 16 and is now eligible to play in La Liga. I'm a bit disappointed that his height only grew to 5'10 as I really wanted a target man, but he is Physically Strong so he should be a good striker nonetheless.*
**Roussillon Murnane - ST (Spain) (57-61, 71-75): The 5'9" 17-year old from Spain has been promoted to the senior team per his request. The striker comes in at 59 overall with 1 star weak foot and 3 star skill moves. He is described as a winger so we expect him to become a pacey striker that can drift wide.

March Headlines
Europa League
The tournament is getting much more exciting now that there are only 8 teams left in the competition. From the teams that remain alive, it is England, Spain, and Italy that have taken control of the competition as each have two teams still fighting for the cup. England have the BPL rivals Liverpool and Manchester United, while Spain have Sevilla and Osasuna, and Italy have Inter and Lazio. There will soon only be one Spanish side though as Osasuna and Sevilla are currently facing each other in the Quarter Final round. Manchester United face Inter de Milan, while Liverpool go up against Stade Reims. The last fixture is Lazio against the Russian Zenit.
David Ferreiro
Ferreiro (69 OVR) has been out of action for two moths after breaking his ankle, but he has finally been cleared by the medical staff to train at the same rate as his teammates. Ferreiro brings speed and agility to the wings, which is one thing the B-Team has lacked since his injury. Although the B-Team isn't as dependent on crosses anymore, Ferreiro's return is still an important one as he can help open up the game. Currently Julian Luque has been taking his place on the wing and his form has dropped since. If Ferreiro can reclaim his starting spot with the B-Team it could allow Luque to return to center midfield where he appears to be most comfortable. Osasuna still have one more player on the injury list, Miguel Olavide, who broke his elbow earlier this month.

International Friendlies
South Africa 1 - 2 Mexico (B-Team)
MEX: Torres 15' Fabian PEN 50'
RSA: Mphela 45'
Chavez made his international debut with quite an experimental lineup, but even without the big names he was able to secure a win against the 2010 World Cup host South Africa. The Mexico fans that were able to make the trip to Africa for this match had reason to celebrate pretty early into the match as the Guadalajara youth graduate Marco Fabian took a corner kick and found another Guadalajara youth graduate Erick "Cubo" Torres inside the box. Torres, who is considered a power header, was able to easily head the ball into the net and put Mexico in the lead.
Mexico played a dominant match controlling possession with their 3-5-2 formation, but South Africa was able to equalize right before halftime through Mphela. Mexico's Javier Aquino did not drop back to defend and allowed Mphela to run in to the box completely unmarked and score with a low strike past Osasuna's Jose Antonio Rodriguez. For the second half Chavez came out with a 5-3-2 (similar to the 3-5-2 but with RWB/LWB instead of RM/LM) and just five minutes into the half a penalty was awarded to them for a foul on Erick Torres. Marco Fabian calmly converted the penalty and Mexico were back in the lead. Mexico had more than enough chances to score a third goal, but poor finishing prevented the third goal's arrival.
Mexico 2 - 0 United States
MEX: Hernandez 29' Aquino 90'
It was quite a surprise to see Mexico play an international friendly in the Estadio Azteca, or should I say surprising to see Mexico play a friendly in Mexico at all, but it definitely paid off as they were able to give their fans a 2-0 win against their Concacaf rivals USA. Chavez came out with the same 3-5-2 used in the previous match, but this time with Mexico's strongest players excluding Giovanni Dos Santos who played with the B-Team while Carlos Vela started alongside Chicharito Hernandez. Unfortunately, Vela was forced to leave the match early due to injury and Erick Torres came on to take his place. Many wondered why it was Torres and not Dos Santos who was subbed in, but it is believed Chavez chose not to risk another Liga BBVA player (Dos Santos - Villarreal, Vela - Real Sociedad). The Azteca exploded in cheer at the 29th minute as Chicharito scored a goal, not with his usual poacher finishing, but rather with a golazo from outside the box!
FC Porto's Herrera sent Hernandez a through ball, who took one look at goal and then powered a long shot that went high but had a nasty drop. There was nothing Brad Guzan could have done to save it from his position. The rest of the match was extremely tight with nothing to split the two rivals, that is until the final minute of the match. Chicharito drifted wide and crossed the ball into the box, where Javier Aquino was able to head the ball into the net from short distance. The referee blew the whistle shortly after that goal, and Mexico took the win. A solid start for Chavez's international debut. The match against USA was one that was required to win if Chavez plans to be with Mexico long-term, and he was successfully able to deliver.
INJURY NEWS
Real Sociedad's Carlos Vela will be out for 4 weeks due to a Sprained Ankle he suffered during the international break.
Conclusion
I didn't notice until after playing the Mexico friendlies that next season will be a World Cup year! Really looking forward to it although the board has high expectations (semifinals) a round Mexico has never reached in the World Cup. I will continue to split each friendly between my First Team and B-Team so that I can get a better idea of who will be in my World Cup list. I don't just want to see names and overalls, I need to see them on the field. So far Marco Fabian has impressed me and could be a good attacking option from the bench or in case of injury, but two friendlies isn't enough to give me a good enough idea just yet.
Texasbum I know you're gonna say something as soon as you see my score against USA lol so allow me to first say congratulations on USA's real life 2-0 win against Mexico earlier this week. I know there are a lot of people making excuses for Mexico like saying that was Mexico's C/D-Team, but f*ck that USA won fair and square. At least that defeat gave us a clear picture of who should not even be considered for Mexico's A/B Team this year. Also that Morris kid! I didn't know about him until the match is he even on FIFA? Impressive to see a university player get a shot with the national team.
Back to Osasuna, as I've mentioned before the league title is not my current goal, but if Barcelona slip up I will not hesitate to take it. Season's almost over and I will not purposely give up any points if I can help it.
Murnane demanded a call up and even though he doesn't have high potential he is one of only two strikers in the academy so I decided to promote him. The goalkeeper Julian Rubin also demanded a call up, but I do not plan on calling him. Contrary to his threat, he has not left the academy yet. I called his bluff and I guess that settles it then.
That's all for this month! Hope you enjoyed it and

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Not a bad deal as he'll do you for the future
Fired up my Swansea save and finished up season 3. The 3 games in May were Liverpool (3-2, Borini x2, Higuain wonder volley winner, Sigurdsson x2), Arsenal (1-0, Walcott 76') and Man United (1-1, Van Persie, Caulker) all away. What a tough ending. Sadly these results meant we missed out on 4th spot after starting in it at the beginning of the month. We did manage to get 5th place though thanks to Blackburn beating Spurs 2-0 and Derby beating Arsenal 2-1. I'll post the new season tomorrow unless you guys want the tables, top scorers, team stats to be posted?

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
All right so quick little update. I played the 3 friendlies and 2 games with FC Ural Sverdlovsk Oblast on World Class and it became very clear I am going to get sacked pretty quickly (I know, I must suck at this game). I lost to QPR 2-1, Tottenham 6-1, FK Haugesund (a Norwegian club) 1-0, CSKA Moskva 2-1, and Tom Tomsk 1-0. As you can see, all losses, and I never scored more than 1 goal.
So what I'm doing now is changing the difficulty and tweaking my sliders.
The good news is I am staying in the Russian league, I am just switching to Terek Grozny which has a slightly better squad and a little more money. I will be posting an update tomorrow. Just letting everyone know what's going on and my plans. So don't worry, I'll still be in Russia.Comment

West Ham United - Episode #72: Tim Howard Goes BEAST MODE
In this episode, we have an absolute cracker of a cup game as we start the defense of our Capital One Cup title when Everton come to Upton Park. We then have a rather slow end to transfer deadline day before taking a look at moves around the world.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Ha Ho He
Transfers Out
Sascha Burchert, €650,000 to Sturm Graz
Leroy Sane, €3,500,000 to Bayer Leverkusen
Julian Schieber, €6,000,000 to Bayern München
Tolga Cigerci, €7,000,000 to Stade Reims
Thomas Kraft, €9,000,000 to 1899 Hoffenheim
Transfers In
Felix Platte
67 Ovr, Striker, 20 Years Old, Germany
€1,500,000
This transfer happened only because Julian Schieber was sold and Hertha BSC needed someone to be their third-choice striker in case something happens to Kalou and Drmic. The man who they chose was Schalke 04's Felix Platte. Schalke's academy product reached some headlines in 2015 with his wonderstrike against Real Madrid in the Champions League but since then the young striker has failed to reach the starting eleven. Now he will continue to rot in the reserves but this time it will be in Berlin.
Daniel Didavi
77 Ovr, Attacking Midfielder, 26 Years Old, Germany
€4,800,000
Another transfer that was made just for squad depth was the signing of Daniel Didavi from Stuttgart. Didavi, who had only one year left on his contract, was signed for a cheap price of just under five million. The attacking midfielder who has came through Stuttgart's academy will get some playing time off the bench for the Berliners.
Johannes Geis
77 Ovr, Defensive Midfielder, 23 Years Old, Germany
€7,000,000
Johannes Geis was also signed for squad depth and to replace a sold player like in Platte's case. After Cigerci's sell Hertha had only one defensive minded midfielder on the bench and that wasn't enough for a two-front battle in the league and in the Champions League. Geis has huge potential and he has been named the new Schweinsteiger and the German Xabi Alonso many times. The 23-year-old who joined from Maiz is a very balanced player who can also play pretty much everywhere in the middle. Geis will probably be rotated with Fabian Lustenberger as the holding midfielder.
Heung-Min Son
79 Ovr, Left Winger, 24 Years Old, South Korea
€9,000,000 + Genki Haraguchi
The first of two big attacking talents Hertha BSC signed was Heung-Min Son. Son spent just a year in Paris Saint-Germain before coming back to Germany. "The Korean Ronaldo" is a fast, skillful, two-footed and clinical player who always gives his everything. The deal saw Genki Haraguchi, who didn't get a single game last season, join Leverkusen. He can play everywhere in attack and he's a very dangerous attacker.
Ron-Robert Zieler
79 Ovr, Goalkeeper, 27 Years Old, Germany
€12,000,000
Replacements, replacements everywhere. The goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler is another player who gets added to the list. After Thomas Kraft's average season in the last campaign Hertha felt like they needed a change between the posts. According to rumours they made bids for Bernd Leno, Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Ralf Fährmänn but their prices were too high so Hertha decided to go for Hannover's Zieler. Zieler is also a good and talented keeper who excells in reflexes in positioning. Zieler came through Manchester United's youth academy but lack of game time lead to a transfer to Hannover where he became the starting keeper. Zieler has played for Germany's every youth level and now he's Joachim Löw's third-choice keeper for the men's national team.
Hakan Calhanoglu
79 Ovr, Attacking Midfielder, 22 Years Old, Turkey
€14,000,000
The final and most expensive signing Hertha BSC made in the summer was Hakan Calhanoglu who arrived for €14 million from Bayer Leverkusen. The Turkish playmaker joined Leverkusen in 2014 after making his breakthrough for Hamburger SV. Since then Calhanoglu has taken some steps towards his potential. He has been compared to Mesut Özil on many occasions and he is known for his amazing free kicks. Calhanoglu's arrival means that Valentin Stocker will either get benched or he'll get moved to the wing.
August 2016
Hertha BSC 3 - 1 VfB Stuttgart
Stocker 45', Kalou 55', Son 79'
Harnik 37'
The first game of the season didn't start perfectly for Hertha. The first half was controlled by Stuttgart and they got the lead after the half an hour mark when Martin Harnik scored with a beautiful volley. The ball came towards him from behind and he timed his kick perfectly to hit the ball into the top net. The lead lasted under ten minutes as Valentin Stocker cut in form the right wing and curled the ball into the bottom left corner. Ten minutes into the second half Hakan Calhanoglu's pass split Stuttgart's defence and Salomon Kalou finished the attack. Ten minutes before the full time whistle Heung-Min Son was played through down the left wing and he scored the winning goal after cutting in from the wing.
FC Schalke 04 0 - 1 Hertha BSC
Kalou 82'
This game was very exciting and the only reason why more goals weren't scored were Stefanos Kapino and Ralf Fährmann. The keepers saved almost everything that came towards them. Finally in the 82nd minute Salomon Kalou was played through on goal and he shot the ball into the top right corner to secure the three points.
Hertha BSC 1 - 1 Mainz 05
Son 39'
Nedelev 22'
A shocking result for the defending champions, especially at home! Mainz defended extremely well and they didn't let Hertha have that many chances. The away team got the lead twenty minutes into the game when a cross was played into the box from the right wing. Poor marking lead to Todor Nedelev getting the ball and the Bulgarian winger just tapped it into the net. Luckily fifteen minutes later Heung-Min Son managed to equalise the game when he once again cut in from the wing and shot the ball into the net.
Borussia Dortmund 0 - 2 Hertha BSC
Kalou 21', Calhanoglu 90'
It's official, Hertha Berlin play much better when they play against bigger teams. After a draw with Mainz Hertha took a solid win home from Dortmund's Westfalenstadion. The Berliners defended well, passed well and attacked well. They got the lead in the 21st minute when Heung-Min Son's cross reached Kalou's head and the Ivorian put it in. The second goal came in stoppage time when Hakan Calhanoglu got into the box, dribbled past two defenders and curled the ball into the bottom left corner. After that Hertha had a chance to score one more but Salomon Kalou's penalty was saved.
Player of the Month
Heung-Min Son
The fast and talented Korean took no time to get adjusted to his new team. He scored two important goals and assisted one more in the four games Hertha played this month. Son showed real quality on and off the ball and right now he's looking like a great signing.
