@Simppu - Congrats on making CL final! Judging by the table, you shouldn't have any worries against Bayern, yet who knows. The treble dream is real, I hope you can succeed!

@JAGGER - Congrats on getting promoted! I also like the award system. Wes Thomas has been huge for you, yet your squad isn't the greatest in the BPL. Did vote in the strawpoll, it seems like you have a solid leader there. Good luck!

@Regens - Race in the top is quite intense I guess. I am happy with the rule that me and Jamie can't take the Portugal national job.

        Burnley Football Club
        Season 1
        December

        Squad

        Spoiler

        Games

        Premier League
        Matchday 14
        Burnley 0-1 Queens Park Rangers
        45' Zarate (Sandro)

        MOTM: Michael Kightly

Number of starting English players: 9

The month obviously had to start difficult, as a great cross from Sandro was hit perfectly from Zarate to give the home team the win. We couldn't compete and look strong, sadly. Wasn't our day.

        Premier League
        Matchday 15
        Southampton 2-1 Burnley
        35' Tadic (PEN)
        45' Tadic (PEN)
        47' Jutkiewicz

        MOTM: Lukas Jutkiewicz

Number of starting English players: 8

Two penalties, my god. At first, Pelle was tackled by Keane in the box, which wasn't much of a foul at all. The second one was a huge clothesline by Keane to Tadic. Jutkiewicz did get some luck in the end, as a defensive mistake by Fonte got him through on goal and he did score, yet we couldn't tie the game up.

        Premier League
        Matchday 16
        Newcastle United 1-2 Burnley
        10' Jutkiewicz (Marney)
        39' Ings (Jutkiewicz)
        45' Ferreyra

        MOTM: Lukas Jutkiewicz

Number of starting English players: 9

We finally bounced back against Newcastle. Jutkiewicz gave us the lead early after a great header, and Ings scored a rocket just outside the box to put us up by 2. We didn't manage to keep the clean-sheet, as Ferreyra intercepted a pass and put it past Heaton, yet the three points was good enough.

        Premier League
        Matchday 17
        Burnley 0-1 Liverpool
        15' Ibe (Moreno)

        MOTM: Henri Lansbury

Number of starting English players: 9

They only needed one shot, as Ibe headed the ball right past Heaton, from a great cross by Moreno. We looked pretty bad most of the game, and to our defense, Anfield is a tough place to play. (Well, I mean, unless you are Crystal Palace...)

        Premier League
        Matchday 18
        Burnley 1-3 Manchester City
        25' Silva (Milner)
        39' Ings (Jutkiewicz)
        86' Milner (Silva)
        90' Jovetic

        MOTM: Danny Ings

Number of starting English players: 9

Silva scored early from a great shot that bounced off the post, yet it didn't take long for Ings to show some great technical skill and beat the defense and tie the game up. We held on to the very end, yet Silva returned the favour to Milner, as he got into the box and put it in. Jovetic got some luck in the end from a lucky bounce and made the game 3-1.

        Premier League
        Matchday 19
        Burnley 1-1 Newcastle United
        72' Ings (Bishop)
        80' Gouffran

        MOTM: Teddy Bishop

Number of starting English players: 8

City game was suppose to be the last game of the month, yet the Newcastle game got moved in the very end. While the game was intense, a good through-pass from Bishop allowed Ings to give us the lead, yet another defensive error allowed Gouffran to tie it up. Not a good way to end the month.

        League Table

        My Thoughts

Still better than the real Burnley - I mean, the month was really difficult, not going to lie, yet we are still in a pretty good position, compared to the real Burnley atleast.

Transfer time! - So, obviously, this transfer period is going to be big, as I am going to try to bring in a few of the English players, who are on their last months of the contract. Here are the TOP 10 of those players:

        Steven Gerrard
        James Milner
        Rio Ferdinand
        Glen Johnson
        Micah Richards (On loan)
        Tom Cleverley (On loan)
        Wes Brown
        Darren Bent (On loan)
        Joey Barton
        Ryan Taylor

Also, if I have a chance to bring some players in after I sell somebody, I will do that.

Next month - The month will start with a game against the Spurs, then an FA Cup game against Huddersfield. After that we shall face Crystal Palace, QPR and Sunderland.

I hope you enjoyed this post, please, if you have any feedback, do let me know!

@Cruzerr Tough month, no doubt. Moved you back to 9th... but still ahead of Arsenal... and Everton, to be fair. For whatever reason, Arsenal are usually poor in career modes. I think Milner would be a great signing for you, and I don't think you'll be able to get Gerrard to agree to a contract, quite difficult. What do you do to get all of your in game pictures?

Damn, sucked to see you lose out on the title especially since Norwich also lost when you did. I liked the awards and your squad saw some nice progression. It may be a little weak for the Prem still however. Thomas had a great season! Did you set up an academy? I picked option 2 I believe.

Basically the same idea here. I'm sure others have done it as well, but anyways, that is the plan. I'll have a couple different teams from different countries in a straw poll below, as I can only sign players from the country I play in, with one exception, as seen in the poll, where I would move an MLS team to a competitive league, probably the EPL.

A good month, thanks to Hazard. He's been immense and won you a lot of points. The game against Paderborn must have been exciting! Good to see you leading the league and taking the Portugal job.

Tough month there. The 4 points picked up against Newcastle the only real highlight. You are still able to get up to 7th with that game in hand though and that's a really good achievement at this stage of the season for Burnley. Some nice pre-contract targets although I doubt Gerrard will move and Milner along with others may be out of your wage budget.

Getting Gerrard is quite impossible, I will try but probably not succeed. Milner is probably the best one from the list to get, getting him would be pretty sick.

For the pictures, I use Fraps, a program that allows you to take pictures and record your games (PC).

Tough month there but you're still doing way better than expected of you. Milner would be a great signing for you and if you can I'd suggest picking up Ibe on loan.

Btw, who is Kieran Kightly? At first I read it as the actress Kiera Knightley and then realised you probably mixed up Trippier and Kightly :P

                        Bukharov 79'
                        Adílson 84'

After being eliminated from the Russian Cup and losing to Zenit St. Petersburg earlier in the season at the Petrovsky Stadium, both by 1-0 scores, Terek Grozny was looking to exact revenge at the Akhmat Arena. The game was a thrilling contest that came down to the final minute, and this time Terek walked away with a hard-earned 3-2 win. Things didn't look good for Terek early though, as Zenit quickly opened the scoring in the 3rd minute on a strike from Alexandr Kerzhakov. In the 26th minute, Zenit came close to doubling their lead, but Danny's volley was just wide right of goal. Rashid Rakhimov's side would pull even in the 40th minute, when off of a corner, Artur Sarkisov sent a volley that was blocked by Zenit defender Nicolas Lombaerts. Pouncing quickly, Kanu picked up the deflection and slotted home a chance past Vyacheslav Malafeev. In the 2nd half, it would be Terek who would go up 2-1 after a Luís Neto giveaway sprung Maciej Rybus, who went around Lombaerts, and sent a shot off the right post and in during the 62nd minute. The Chechens would be unable to defend their lead however, as Kerzhakov's substitute Alexandr Bukharov evened the game 2-2 with a goal in the 79th minute. Terek was undaunted by the equalizer and would go back ahead in the 84th minute when Neto failed to clear the ball after an Igor Lebedenko run, and Adílson volleyed a shot by a diving Malafeev. That goal from the Brazilian midfielder would be enough to hold off the RFPL giants as Terek came away with the full 3 points.

                        MotM: Lebedenko

                        Mitrishev 90'

Following their thrilling win against Zenit St. Petersburg, Terek Grozny headed on the road to Yekaterinburg to take on second-from-bottom FC Ural Sverdlovsk Oblast. The game was a clinical production from Terek, who secured a comfortable 3-0 win. Terek wasted no time in taking the lead as Facundo Píriz sent a shot from outside the box by Ural goalkeeper Evgeniy Pomazan in just the 6th minute of play. Scoring chances would dry up after that, but Píriz secured his second goal of the game in the 84th minute when the Uruguayan midfielder headed home a delivery from Fedor Kudryashov on a corner kick. Terek would get a third goal just before the whistle in the 90th minute as Magomed Mitrishev slid a chance between the legs of Pomazan to emphatically close out the game. It was also an easy day for Terek goalkeeper Yaroslav Godzyur, who was not forced to make a save as he picked up the clean sheet.

                        MotM: Píriz

                        <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"><link href="http://dynasties.operationsports.com/css/osdyn.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"><table class="osdyn" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1" width="575"><tbody><tr class="masthead"><td colspan="4">Mar 16, 2014 - Terek Grozny vs Krylya Sovetov Samara</td></tr><tr class="stathead"><td width="61%">TEAM</td><td align="right" width="12%">1</td><td align="right" width="12%">2</td><td align="right" width="15%">SCORE</td></tr><tr class="oddrow"><td>Terek Grozny (15-3-4)</td><td align="right">1</td><td align="right">0</td><td class="active" align="right">1</td></tr><tr class="oddrow"><td>Krylya Sovetov Samara (8-2-12)</td><td align="right">0</td><td align="right">0</td><td class="active" align="right">0</td></tr></tbody></table>

                        Rybus 11'

Returning home to Grozny, Terek stayed in fine form as The Chechens picked up their second consecutive clean sheet in a 1-0 win over visiting Krylya Sovetov Samara. The victory also made it 5 in a row for manager Rashid Rakhimov's side after an 0-1-3 stretch. The deciding goal came in the 11th minute when Facundo Píriz sent a cross into the box that Maciej Rybus volleyed home by Krylya goalkeeper Ján Mucha. Krylya's first chance of the game would come in the 40th minute off of a corner, but Ivan Taranov headed the ball into the waiting arms of Terek goalkeeper Yaroslav Godzyur. The only other attempt on goal in this uneventful game came in the 82nd minute when Mucha made a save on Oleg Ivanov. That didn't matter however, as Terek continued their climb in the RFPL table with the season sweep of Krylya.

                        MotM: Rybus

                        <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"><link href="http://dynasties.operationsports.com/css/osdyn.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"><table class="osdyn" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1" width="575"><tbody><tr class="masthead"><td colspan="4">Mar 28, 2014 - Terek Grozny vs FC Tom Tomsk</td></tr><tr class="stathead"><td width="61%">TEAM</td><td align="right" width="12%">1</td><td align="right" width="12%">2</td><td align="right" width="15%">SCORE</td></tr><tr class="oddrow"><td>Terek Grozny (16-3-4)</td><td align="right">2</td><td align="right">0</td><td class="active" align="right">2</td></tr><tr class="oddrow"><td>FC Tom Tomsk (3-3-17)</td><td align="right">0</td><td align="right">0</td><td class="active" align="right">0</td></tr></tbody></table>

                        Mogilevets 26'
                        Maurício 45'

Despite visitors FC Tom Tomsk being bottom of the table in the RFPL, Terek Grozny was not taking this game lightly as The Chechens had been defeated in Siberia earlier in the season by Tom 1-0. As in that game, Tom goalkeeper Mladen Božović was in fine form, but the Montenegrin net minder wasn't enough to prevent a 2-0 defeat for Tom. Maciej Makuszewski started the offensive onslaught for Terek in the 13th minute, but Božović parried away the Polish midfielder's chance. Makuszewski then forced a turnover from Plamen Nikolov and set up Pavel Mogilevets who struck with a glorious laser from 30 yards out that beat Božović. Božović would then come up with two saves on Jonathan Legear and Oleg Ivanov before being beaten again by Maurício in the 45th minute. Terek continued to pour on the attack in the 2nd half, but Božović would not concede again as he made 12 saves in the game. On the other end of the pitch, Terek's third-choice goalkeeper Evgeniy Gorodov only had to make 1 save to pick up a clean sheet.

Píriz would also provide the assist to Maciej Rybus' game-winning goal in Terek's 1-0 victory over Krylya Sovetov Samara.

                        Manager's Thoughts
What a month! We went a perfect 4-0-0 and topped things off with that thrilling win against Zenit St. Petersburg. We have now moved into second place in the RFPL, which means if the season ended today, we would qualify for the Champions League. Obviously, there is still work to be done, but we look as if we should get no worse than a spot in the Europa League. As good as the win against Zenit was, I was equally impressed with our ability to dominate the lower-table teams we faced in FC Ural Sverdlovsk Oblast, Krylya Sovetov Samara, and FC Tom Tomsk. Those were games we were expected to take the full 3 points, and we handled business. Our midfield was sensational this month as we got big performances and goals from Facundo
Píriz, Maciej Rybus, Maurício, Adílson, Kanu, and Pavel Mogilevets. The club also recorded 3 consecutive clean sheets to end the month, which is a tribute to our defensive players and goalkeepers.

                        International Duty
This month two Terek Grozny players were selected to represent their countries on international duty. Facundo Píriz, our Player of the Month, was called up by Uruguay, while defender Fedor Kudryashov will make his national team debut for Russia. Terek Grozny congratulates both players on their accomplishments.

                        April 2014 Fixtures
                        4/6 - vs Rostov
                        4/12 - at Volga
                        4/20 - vs Kuban
                        4/27 - at Spartak

With only two months remaining in the season, we need to finish strong to remain in our Champions League spot. There is even still a chance that we could win the league as we are only 3 points behind Zenit St. Petersburg. For this month, we will be gunning for 10 out of a possible 12 points. FC Rostov, Volga Nizhny Novgorod, and Kuban Krasnodar are all sides we have already beaten once, and I expect to handle each club again this time. In our first meeting against 5th place side Spartak Moskva, we battled to a 1-1 draw. As we head to the capital, I am looking to at least get another draw, although we will certainly be trying to get the win.

Really good month with 4 straight wins. They highlight of which was beating Zenit! Those two goals were also the only ones you conceded all month which is great and with your keeper being up there in the leader boards for clean sheets it shows how solid your defence is. Good luck against Spartak next month and holding onto second!

The 2-0 derby win at Bilbao was good for confidence as was the beating of Llagostera. Good to see Alonso having somewhat of a revival on the left wing. BTW, he could outgrow his potential! Martínez also seems like quite the player in the CAM role judging from your match recaps. 4th and within 2 points of first place is very good progress this month. Good luck against M'gladbach next month!
Thanks! It would be awesome to have Alonso outgrow his potential but since he plays mainly with the B-Team I doubt he will :/ if he does it will only be by a little I think. Sucks because he's been great for Fiorentina IRL. I was surprised to see I'm so close to 1st. I feel like I've been struggling this season more than others especially when the 4-4-2 Holding stopped working.

I have personally tried the 4-3-3 attacking a lot aswell with teams like Ajax, and while I can't fit it into Schalke nor Burnley atm, it is a really good formation. Yet you are doing well atm, so keep at it!
Thanks man! I can't even remember the last time I used the 4-3-3 Attack but I had a lot of fun using it with Guadalajara. Normally I would edited the LCM and RCM to become LDM and RDM but thanks to the player instructions I had no problems with them so I didn't have to edit the formation at all. I just gave them both the instruction to stay back while attacking and stay at the edge of the box for crosses.

Draws against good Valencia and Sociedad sides isn't bad. The league is still very tight and you could win the title.

Dude I was so sure that EA would too but I was really surprised when I saw City equalized before the end of the match. I literally didn't even celebrate the win against Napoli thinking I was still out until I saw the fixture menu. EA must have had a change of heart.

At this point, Leipzig and an MLS team are tied, so I'll just go ahead an narrow it down to those two in this latest poll. Here it is.

                                http://strawpoll.me/4446247

If the MLS team is picked, I think the most likely destination is England. Not positive on that, though.
