    Press Conference
Q: With 2 goals and 3 assists, Bernard was voted the La Liga player of the month. Just how good is he?
A: Bernard is a fantastic player and has the potential to be one of the very best. He has such balance and the ball is just glued to his foot it is a real pleasure to watch. He looked really sharp during pre-season and has carried that form into the new season which is good for us.

Q: With 10 goals already you are the leading goalscorers and early pace setters. Can you keep this form going?
A: I hope so but realistically I know we are guna dip in performance at some point but we just need to keep this up for as long as possible and who knows where we could end up at the end of the season.

Q: The new signings seem to have settled in well, it seems you have done some good business there.
A: Yeah I think so. We looked for players who we felt could come straight into the team and contribute and I felt that they all have. We have got all 3 players for a good price and they fit the type of players we were looking for young, hungry and full of potential.

On a completely different note, I'm (sadly) returning to Finland tomorrow. This time I shouldn't get removed from the plane, though. Also, now that there's another Valencia career going on I'm wondering if you would like me to continue my one or start a new career with another team. Thoughts?

        Some of my thoughts

4-3-3 Attacking - Currently, the best formation which I have used, as I switched from the 4-2-3-1 after the first two games. The wingers have a lot of space to attack, and while I ain't completely happy with it, it is still good at the moment.

The transfers - We made some good moves, and while we really didn't replace any of the players properly, we made some good moves for the future. Maksimovic looks solid and so does Jorginho, Bolasie looks great and just the player to cause havoc. Also, hopefully Bellerin will become a big player.

Please, leave me feedback if you have any good ideas or anything, take care!

@Cruzerr: Good start to the season with some tidy signings made too. What's the target this season? Top 4 or Europa League?

@Simp: I'm happy with whatever you want to do. If you keep Valencia going, it'd won't matter that there is another one ongoing as you are further ahead and will do it your own way.

            Squad List

Okay guys, looking for some advice for the next transfer window. What positions would you recommend I should try to improve before heading in to the championship? I have a couple months before the season ends so I want to start sending out scouts now to look around in the different countries at players that could fit what I need. One thing to keep in mind is that I have 2 full backs coming in next season on pre-contract agreements so those seem to be set.

            Starting XI

            GK - Cody Cropper (68)
            RB - Todd Kane (68)
            CB - Ben Chorley (63)
            CB - Ben Nugent (63)
            LB - Dan Butler (63)
            CDM - Stuart Bannigan (67)
            CM - Marlon Pack (69)
            CM - George Francomb (67)
            RW - Jed Wallace (68)
ST - Bradford Jamieson IV (65)
            LW - *Manuel Hahn (69)

            Substitutes
            CDM - Nigel Atangana (61)
            ST - Matt Tubbs (63)
            CB - Jack Whatmough (63)
            RB - Tosin Olufemi (59)
            LM - Brandon Barker (63)
            CB - Adam Webster (62)
            GK - *Tafari Masaki (62)

            Reserves

            ST - Michael Drennan (62)
            CB - Paul Robinson (62)
            LB - Andy Kellett (65)
            CDM - Johannes Ertl (58)
            LM - Conor Chaplin (54)
            LM - *Chris Mahoney (58)

            Out on Loan
            CM - *Matt Rhead (45)
            CM - Nick Awford (56)

            * Denotes Youth Academy Graduate

I think I need to add a midfielder for some depth since Ertl is retiring and I don't have a lot of quality players available outside of the 3 I have starting. Maybe another winger to take the place of Conor Chaplin in the rotation as well.

@Cruzerr Nice start to the season and Jorginho is a perfect replacement for Schneiderlin. How's Tadic thinking about getting rid of Wijanldum and bringing him in January for my Valencia career.

Maybe upgrade your CB's? Plus Chorley and Robinson are pretty old.

Hadn't thought about it but you're right. Nugent, Whatmough, and Webster should all grow to be solid players, but Chorley and Robinson are only going to decline, and possibly be set to retire after another season or so. Bringing in at least a depth option would be a good idea.

Thoughts: Obviously didn't get off to the start that I would have liked to with three losses in six in the PL and an unfortunate early exit in the Cap One Cup, albeit to United. Didn't deserve to lose the Stoke match and the lone goal allowed against Hull was a crap penalty decision. Ings has been pretty poor up front pairing with De Jong so hoping that either he gets it together or Babacar/Riviere can step up. Next two months are very important with an incredibly tough slate in December, so need to find some answers quick.

Thoughts: Mentioned in my previous post how vital it was to have a successful October and November, and this was just what the doctor ordered -- 7 points in three October road games including a 1-1 draw on the road at Tottenham. Santon getting homesick is unfortunate, but he's not irreplaceable and Haidara is a pretty promising LB himself. Babacar and Riviere are both outplaying Ings, but I plan to continue rotating the front line for the time being. Krul has been an absolute beast in net and I'd be surprised if I didn't start seeing some hefty offers to buy him in the winter/next summer.

                            Press Conference
Q: The Champions League hasn't gone according to plan for you, How had the transition been?
A: It's been tough I can't lie. Every team in the group deserved to be there and are there for a reason so it is no surprise that it has been this difficult but we will continue to fight till the end, even if we have made it more of a challenge for ourselves.

Q: Negredo has really stepped up this season, 7 goals makes him lesding goal scorer, what's changed from last season?
A: Confidence. He is playing with a lot more confidence this season and has been terrific. He is finding himself in the right positions and everything is going in for him. Although injured at the moment hopefully he can continue this till the end of the season.

Q: Oliver Torres is looking like a bargain for £10 million, leading the assists and putting in several man of the match performances, how well has he settled in?
A: Oliver is only going to get better and better and will be one of the very best in years to come. He has slotted in perfectly into the midfield 3 of him Bernard and Parjeo and they compliment each other perfectly.

(Sorry for the long update, Thanks for reading)

Capital One Cup: Eliminated, Round 3 to Man United

Thoughts: Wish I could have gotten a few more points on the month, but 12 points in the last seven league matches is a decent showing. December is a monster with six matches, three of which include: Chelsea, at Arsenal, and at United. Losing Rodriguez is a bummer and I admittedly don't have much depth at the outside mid positions, but I'll have to make due until the winter transfer window. Krul continues to be a beast and has been my MOTM for 5 of the 13 league matches so far. Riviere seems to be answering the call as the go-to striker and could very well be a mainstay in the starting XI moving forward. Same goes for Brooks, who was brought in during the summer as a replacement for the aging Coloccini, but has been lethal on set pieces and has been the team's most consistent CB.
