A little background before I get into the results. I started this career with the intention of developing a Mourinho-type side full of athletic players who combine pace, power, athleticism and skill. In the previous save, I ran with a 3-5-2 that emphasised possession. This time, I'm using a 5-2-3 with the standard counter-attacking tactics. My team is set up not to look cute or control games, but to score goals ‒ lots and lots of goals all over the park.

Manager's Recap
We've started the league season fantastically with 16 points from our first 10 games, though we have just one home win. We've scored 15 goals and conceded 11, which is pretty good for our aim of finishing mid-table.
The assurance and confidence we have with Coloccini leading the side from the heart of central defence, with able support from Lascelles and Mbemba, can't be understated. Anita has also been huge to keep Tioté in the reserves.
My attacking players have flourished in the counter-attacking style we've adopted. Wijnaldum has settled in with 8 goals in 11 appearances, while Cabella has shown what a mistake it was to loan him out with 5 assists.
In the Capital One Cup, we've progressed to the quarter-finals against the league leaders, Chelsea. Considering we've put 12 goals past the last three teams, including Liverpool and Man. City, I fancy our chances to progress.
November and December will be big for us. If we can finish in the top 8 at the end of the year, I think we'll have a real shot at challenging for a place in the Europa League. I also expect us to make the semi-finals in the cup.
