    I just played against Arsenal again with my previous reported changes, plus those line length 18/20 and line width 32/30. Must confess I really liked it! Didn't feel those occasional improper "plenty of space moments" like before.

    I see that what adoptedscouse did was decrease 20 and 30 points, respectively. In other words, a 50% reduction. Anyway, really don't know this is drastic or not in gameplay terms, mainly after so many patches and live tunings.

    Curiously, my game ended 2 x 1 for them again, just like with previous values.

        For now, I'm sticking with it. Played one more game, the FA Cup final against West Ham, and I can't notice exaggerated spaces or pressure. Since I'm on 15 minutes halves, I play fewer matches. Next one is against Chelsea and I will report back.

          Im playing Last Gen version, and it doesn't really help adjusting passing or GK error sliders. Barely any difference even if you put error to max, this goes especially for GK's.

          Seeing as I was tired of GK's saving every shot that wasn't an exploitshot,
          I went to edit the GK stats of the opposing team to 1 in all stats and put GK error slider to both max and minimum and it barely made a difference from a prime Neuer on steroids.

          You could spend an entire day trying proper long shot (no exploits) on these 1 stat GK's with slider set to max error and you wouldn't score even 1 goal.

          I encourage others to test this out.

          The base stats (the ones we can't edit), before sliders, are just tooooo high.

            Interesting -- do you feel like you need to do anything with height? With some of the latest updates, I felt like every CPU team was sitting in a pretty low block regardless of their custom tactics set up.

              Playing on legendary, I am not witnessing CPU defensive behavior as you showed in your examples (Thank you for testing and recording it by the way). There is much more space in my games than in yours. It could be because I am playing in the Championship and the teams are worse and have different tactics, but that is just my guess. All the other sliders are the same (marking on 75, as you proposed)

                Didn't have much time to test height, but I did try 50/50 for a while, just to be sure I would be able to actually notice the difference, but immediately went back to 45/45. CPU defense stayed excessively in the midfield during gameplay. I felt it caused an improper behavior.

                I really don't know if this slider just affects their positions when the ball is near the midfield or if we can notice something different when the ball is near the box. Really need help from more experienced people here.

                  Well, here we go again.

                  Using 55/55 sprint speed, I found this severe defensive line integrity issue, where not only one, but two CPU defenders desperately run with my attacker. Not only improper, but a bizarre behavior, mainly because they didn't need to follow him so much in this specific situation.

                  So I had to decrease to 54/54 to check what would happen, in a effort to definitely end with centre back improper jockey/shuffle, since 53/53 also started to have it annoyingly more than before, after these updates, but avoiding these weird situations shown above.

                  By the way, it's insane how much we can feel the speed difference between 53, 54 and 55. It's like 55 is where the pace really starts to be overly fast. 53 is better, of course, but 54 is really, really, really better than 55.

                  As you will see, 54/54 still have some "contextual" defenders running back moments, where I think at least most of them are actually more proper than improper. At the same time, still no jockey/shuffle, which is GREAT!


                  01 - We must admit West Ham defender didn't need to follow Ronaldo so much, but who knows if I was about to use a long ball behind him if he didn't care so much to mark a way faster player. In real life, this would be plausible. I think it was the right decision in the beginning.

                  02 - This one here is PERFECT! West Ham counter attack and just notice how Varane, WHILE STILL CONTROLLED BY THE AI, starts to follow their player. If the defensive line integrity was the priority here, I would NEVER be able to catch him!

                  03 - All CPU defenders properly running back. This is the typical kind of play that we know would immediately trigger a centre back jockey/shuffle!

                  I honestly hope all of this can be helpful. I use my phone to upload, write and edit everything, so it's a bit of a tough process, makes the hand hurt a little. But at least it's a way to better show what I experience here!

                    many thanks for such a thorough and well-researched post. i've only recently started using OS sliders, using the latest version of 'Shorter Halves Legendary' with assisted controls. i've only played 3-4 games and, although it's a huge improvement on 'vanilla' FIFA (i.e. default sliders), i managed to score a very easy goal by waiting on the edge of the opposition box for my midfielder to make a run in the channel (between the LB and LCB) and slip in a through ball for him to basically walk into the box and score unchallenged.

                    if i continue to experience such things i will try your sliders hoping that it increases the CPU defensive 'intensity' and reduces the space between the defenders (which i think is 'line width'?).

                              Hello, I'm using shorter halves legendary set, and it's hard to score goals, which I wanted to do, but what is annoying to me that every opposition shot is very fast and is almost always a goal, and they score screamers often. My goalkeeper feels useless at times, so should I change some values or what? At the end of the match, opposition has like 4-5 shots and 3-4 goals... I feel like my defending is good, I don't think it's the problem.

                                i'm playing on old gen (pc), 6 min halves, using the 'legendary shorter halves' set, normal speed, assisted controls

                                overall it's good, but every few games--the most recent one in particular--the CPU are in 'kamikaze' mode and press like crazy. if you beat the press, you're in and it's basically a guaranteed goal. their wingbacks for example are outside my penalty box and they don't track back:
