I play on PS 5 - semi-automatic - 6 minutes - slow
I played FIFA 23 on Legendary, here I decided to start with world class, especially since they constantly write that he plays more diversely. Career for Wolverhampton. I configured version 3, the only thing was that it gave the user a shot error of 65. The first half with Tottenham was 0:0, in the second I set the sprint speed to 10. It became much more enjoyable to play) The match ended 1:0. But in the following matches, they scored from 4 to 6 goals in each, although the speed of the game was remarkable. As a result, I switched to Legendary and set everything up as in version 3. Two matches 0:0 (Nottingham, Westham) and a 2:3 defeat from Chelsea. This is the best experience in this game so far) The impact speed definitely should have been set lower. This does not eliminate the strange animations of goalkeepers when the ball flies next to him, and he jumps loudly in the other direction, but the game is similar to reality) Either I mastered the controls, or the inclusion of advanced defense played that way, but there was a lot of fighting in the center of the field. English is not my native language, please forgive any mistakes)

Anyone having problems regarding free kicks? Seems I can't get enough power to reach the goal without it hitting the ground. Even at full bar and 'chip' there isn't enough height to go over the wall. I've tried putting shot power sliders to default but it doesn't fix it.

I tried to hit like in FIFA 23, I also hit the wall often) In the last matches I started hitting a little harder, almost to the maximum - now I hit the crossbar

It also depends on how you hit. If we consider a standard blow with a twist, then you just need to find the golden mean in the force of the blow)

EA it would be nice to have a share/download button for these like on 2k smh. Been asking for like over a decade at this point.

Not a fan of V3 sliders at the moment. Updated the game and changed to V3 prior to a UCL group game against Porto with Barça in Career Mode.

Felt fast and just unrealistic at times, the ball movement speed felt slower and more lively with V2 and V1. Not sure if it’s placebo effect but I concur with some of the opinions here experiencing that slight FUT gameplay after switching to V3. I was being overran at times and the AI crosses less often now, they usually go for the same annoying cut back to someone in the box for an easy goal. Probably 60% of the time, crosses seemed more prominent in V2 and V1. Goalkeepers still make weird animations for saves, probably the worst I’ve seen in a while in a FIFA/FC game.

Overall, not terrible but I definitely had more fun gameplay and more realistic ball movement with V2 and V1.

Myself and the testers are absolutely loving it right now. I highly recommend playing more games, disconnect from EA, or do a profile reset (if PS5).

The cutback happens a lot in Legendary, but not as much on WC. Crossing will happen based on the team you're playing. I absorbed 15 crosses against Ipswich Town last night on Legendary. Some teams cross primarily from their fullbacks, some do it when they're closer to the box. Inverted wingers tend to wait for the fullbacks as well.

I'm having to re-learn how to defend because I actually want to get better. I can't say I've felt like that in a long time. As good as 23 was, this game is just miles ahead in terms of AI football brain. They punish you if you're out of position, but the game respects the pass error values enough that you are rewarded from good defending - or just sometimes forced errors from the AI.

Again, just give it more time. The game always speeds up after a patch update. Leave the game on for a while, come back to it, start a new game. Disconnect from EA is always a good idea.

What is profile reset? Is it only available on PS5? I play on Xbox Series X.

Got to dive in with V3 last night, and I think its absolutely brilliant! World Class proving a nice challenge for me at the moment, with some terrific variety. The changes have really reduced the AI's desire to dribble into the box and look for the cutback.

In attack, my space to operate has been reduced significantly, which I quite enjoy. I was skeptical on FT 100, but it feels really good. Sure you'll see some goofy touches, but it is not overdone at all. There are still moments of magic in touch.

REALLY good stuff, this version has sealed my decision to go full purchase after living in the EA Play Trial thus far. It feels incredible to have a footy game back in my life

I did raise marking to 53 for both. Defenders seem to be more engaged and less in lala land. It was only 1 match but I'm gonna keep rolling with it for now

Love to hear that, man. Yeah it's typical that a high value like FT really just allows us to find the threshold. I said earlier in the thread, it's like 100 feels like a 70 because of how every player has pretty good control over the ball as is. The main thing that was important is that their control in possession - even after having the ball for a while.

Regarding World Class, I can't remember when I've won with this Birmingham team. This is a test CM, which I haven't invested any off-pitch time on at all, so it's no surprise how I'm performing.

Terrible defending from me, mainly trying different things that I've done in the past (control CDM only, legacy defending to try to tackle, etc) - but the game punishes you when you get out of position. No issues with the aggression from both sides. Had my chances as well.

WC, Slow, connected to EA servers, first game after loading FC24 up.

Matt, the pace of the game looks pretty reasonable in the video above.V2 was fine for me. I will try V3 this evening.

I've now gotten in 10 game total with V3 ( with minor adjustments to my liking) and it's been very fun . Had a few 0-0 scorelines which i love to see . I'm extremely rusty since I have not played in 2 years time , my defending is atrocious especially my timing for challenges . But it's been a good time , great job Matt n co .

Matt, what do you think about EA giving up the players entrance. The way they didi know its break all The imersion we had. I will not buy the game until they fix it

It's not the sliders. It's the update.

Happens every single year. EA release a really good game. But the content creators cry at the game being too slow and too realistic. So EA speed it up and ruin it.

Hey Matt! Maybe a suggestion I think the boost stats with trainers is making the game faster for some users. Have two saves with Barcelona identical in everything players tactics etc. one with 8 trainers and one with no trainers at all. Definitely the one with trainers feels faster with some fast animations that is playing the same lineup against same opponents. Personally I use the one with no sliders because don’t like to have boost stats. For me the game plays beautifully with your sliders just looking out for the ones that are not enjoying the game right now. It might be an issue using trainers since the game also have a bug that you cannot release them. I’m just checking out. Thank you
