After the update 2 weeks ago, I was able to establish the game style I wanted. That's why I'm afraid to install the new update. I don't want to go back to the beginning again. I spent my days dealing with slider settings.

I would assume Matt would amend them based on all the updates anyway. Haven't played yet since the update so hoping for the best.

Not slider related, but does anyone have any tips for manual crossing? I’m getting used to the passing, but crosses just don’t work at all for me. Even if I just tap X, the cross is way over hit and goes sailing over everyone and practically out for a throw in. Is it better to try and use the floated crosses? I’m using 55 for the power bar value.

I think manual crossing isn't working as it should. Not in the same way as last year. But, as you said, power input doesn't determine where the ball goes. In a ground pass, it does, so why doesn't it work the same in crossing situations? We'll never know. As the brightness bug makes me sick, yesterday I played a few matches of FIFA23 with semi-cross. It worked more "manual" than "manual cross" in EAFC24. I think I will change it to semi once the bug is fixed.

To answer your question, manual crosses are not manual. If you have 3 players in the box, you can't know what the correct input will be to the power bar. A single tap can go short or end at the opposite corner. I don't know how much the "pass error" slider value affects this.

Also, look for a good crosser. Trent Alexander-Arnold will make perfect crosses (see, no manual), but the 55 overall player will make poor crosses.

Manual crossing seems fine to me. The location of teammates in the box shouldn't and, I believe, doesn't have any effect on FUMA.

had to turn this off. somehow got worse this week. the players feel like they're stuck in the mud now. cant stay in front of anyone in the box. i'm not sure even your heroic sliders can fix this thing this year. so bummed.

I was watching Atsmash’s stream on Twitch and notice a really bad case of CB jockey in his Man Utd vs Luton game. Lockyer jockeyed and allowed Højlund to run into the box and be open for a cutback.

No idea what the patch did but the gameplay is now awful and version 4 isn’t working like it was pre patch. I was enjoying it and now my players feel stuck in the mud and the AI just kicks it past my players and chases after it with ease. The ‘go to the byline and cut back’ move is back as well. Feel like Matt needs to work his magic on version 5 and get the gameplay back!!

After the fourth update, the entire opponent team is attacking me. Also, 9 out of 10 balls are passed to the opponent. My defenders cannot receive the ball from the opponent team's forwards... It is not clear whether we are playing a game or suffering.

That's what I was thinking. If they feel like they are ' Stuck in the Mud ' , that means there's more of a weight feel added n that's exactly what I personally want. But I think the guy meant that as in they just stand around n are slow to react with no urgency ? I have not downloaded the latest update . I'm still playing on previous version

Yeah we are working through this update a bit as V4 isn't quite working as it did before unfortunately. Values are pretty sensitive again, and the CB jockey has reared its ugly head resulting in a need to address Sprint/Acc for WC slow in particular, but also values for the other difficulties/game-speeds.

Hoping to get a beta for you guys tonight.

So Acceleration is going to need to go up from 51 ? Man am I glad I didn't allow this new update to download , cus I would refuse to play this game if acceleration needs go higher again .

If people were complaining about gameplay being too fast before , i can't imagine the hockey game it's about to become with a higher acceleration if that is indeed whats needed . People will not be happy to hear this . Unfortunate if that's the case

It doesn't make that much of a difference animation-wise and only applies to slow gamespeed. Exactly what we did last year on FIFA 23 and it was just fine.
