connoll3, what settings would you recommend to get a less aggressive (defensively) cpu AI on professional difficulty? I think this game suffers from the same problem as fifa does in that regard. IMO, the cpu plays unrealisticly aggressive on the higher difficulty levels.

I put the pressing and compactness to 0 and that really helped. ...... maybe too much. I defeated the NYRB 4-0 on 5 minutes and professional difficulty. Prior to changing any settings, I lost 2-0 to NYRB on 10 minutes.

I'm not an expert on settings, to be honest. They're a relatively new feature to PES. When I came up with settings info for the MLS teams I modeled them on teams already in the game, trying to match up rough stylistic tendencies. I made further adjustments using some of the general advice in these threads:

If you want to lower the pressure on the ball, lower Pressing, Compactness, and the Defensive Line. What's an appropriate level to lower them to is largely going to be up to your personal preference. Experiment a bit and maybe check out those two threads above for better ideas.

Let me know if you figure out some settings combo that you think works really well. Sorry I can't offer any better advice than that.

Thanks!! Those threads gave me a better understanding of how the settings worked. I didnt even think of messing with the offensive settings. The game is much more open now and I got space to work with and plan out attacks. I gotta edit more teams now.

The only negative now is that I have to restart my ML. Oh well, it will be worth it as I was getting a bit frustrated with the majority of my matches ending in draws.

fyi...

We're in the process of straightening out the file so it's compatible with Konami's latest round of DLC (1.07). MLS rosters are being sorted out & updated.

We're also updating the file for the World Cup, as mentioned above. Algeria & New Zealand have been created over Guinea & Bahrain; currently we're adding missing players to the other World Cup sides. Ultimately, the World Cup rosters will be 100% accurate (or very, very close).

We'll hopefully release the update in a few days. Stay tuned.

Version 1.3 (World Cup edition) is now available. This update is compatible with the latest DLC release by Konami (1.07).

The main feature of this version is a complete overhaul & update for the World Cup:

* Algeria & New Zealand have been created over Guinea and Bahrain, respectively, so all 32 World Cup sides are now available.

* Many players created (60+) so that the 23-man rosters for all 32 Cup sides are 100% accurate. Kit numbers adjusted & accurate for the Cup, too.

* All lineups, formations, captains, and kick takers have been adjusted to accurately reflect the start of the tournament.

* With the addition of new PNGs and some further editing, all non-licensed WC teams now have accurate kits, minus the Algeria and Slovakia GKs, which will come in time.

* A substantial number of tweaks to boots and player accessories, for improved realism.

* MLS-wise: added some new, improved kits PNGs. Also, rosters have been sorted out for the new DLC and updated with the latest transactions. Expect another MLS update around the opening of the July transfer window.

Expect possibly another update in a little while to improve some World Cup details, mostly cosmetic ones.

Cool. Just an FYI...but you need to be able to connect your PS3 online and download the available DLC from Konami (current version: 1.07) for my/our OF to work. After that, hope you enjoy the file...

Awesome OF but I have one question.. I'm new to the series and would like to use the MLS as my league for the BAL mode. It's loaded correctly and everything it's just not there as one of my options when I pick which league to start my BAL in?
