Out of curiosity how do you achieve these formations like I see on klashman's site for 2016 tactics (can't post links yet), specifically for West Ham (2-2-3-3) In Possession?

Can anyone help me understand?

Someone already asked it many pages ago.
This is a copy of my answer:

When in game plan, you just go to lineup/edit position (shirt logo) where you can change your player. By maintaining the cross button and using L3 you can move your player position around the pitch (it says let go). Finally you can use the square to assign a new function (CDM/CMF) if available.

I very much appreciate you reposting the answer. I know that likely is frustrating for you, but I promise I have read somewhere between 70-80% of this thread, which is impressive at 50 pages in length.

It was late, and I had been trying to figure it out by googling, and then on my own for about an hour before I decided to post and go to bed and hoped the answer would appear here for me.

Again, thanks a ton, the knowledge base here is awesome and the work put in is fantastic. I'm still waiting to get my copy of 2017, so I thought I'd play around with some of the tactics in 2016 while I pass the time. I'd never done anything with those before (shameful, I know).

No problem! It was not a critic, just a statement. I know it is hard going threw those pages.

It could be good to have some guidelines like this one on the opening post to make things easier.

Hi there to those who are familiar with me. Yes, I stepped out of the dark side over this way. It's been that dark. After messing around with the demo a couple days, I picked up the game and loaded it up for the first time last night.

Before that I started reading this thread for some hints in advance. Good stuff going on. I hope to contribute if I can out of my busy schedule. I read 12-13 pages, then backwards from 50 to 44 and that's where I am

Just saying hi! Started a test master league until I figure out a good final OF (hopefully with some tactics built in).

Here is a video with tactics for 3 serie A teams: Fiorentina, Lazio and AC Milan.

Remember, the kick off formation is very important because it determines the players the cpu will choose to start the game. In the video for example, Fiorentina kick off formation is very different from the ON and OUT possession formations, but it guaranties the right players (most, likely not the RB) to start the game of course if they are in good form.

Edit: Lazio formation is not the one they used yesterday, but it is the one they used with more frequency in the last 5 games.

Great job Papinho! Just a heads up I plan on sharing the bin files for the Serie A, EPL and LaLiga teams sometime next week. These not only include tactics but stats, skills and upated player faces and accessories edited. I will post a video of just the team tactics for the LaLiga and Serie A teams me and Papinho worked on for those not interested in all the other stuff.

I'm not sure how current it is since new tactics are added here all the time, but Chris's Best of Everything OF at pesgaming.com credits this thread for tactics included in his file (with the caveat he didn't do the fluid formations). Looks like he posted a completely new file on 11/4 to sort out some duplicate player issues from the 1.02 update, so perhaps he incorporated the latest tactics as well.

I tried out the Barcelona tactics posted here and what a difference it makes. Messi is getting way more involved in plays and driving at defenses causing all sorts of problems.
