Re: PES 2017 Tactics
The first thing I do with PES every year is shut that off just to decrease the loading times. Unfortunately, if you play MyClub playing "offline" means no "XP" for doing little things in the game.Comment

Does turning off auto log-in in network options work to stop live updates?

Re: PES 2017 Tactics
Instead of logging out completely you could just toggle your net connection on/off through the "network tab" in the console settings. But yeah, still not ideal.Comment

Re: PES 2017 Tactics
I asked this question in the PES 2017 option file thread, but I'll chime in here to see if you guys can assist with the FAQ portion of that thread. There are so many questions around how to apply tactics to existing bins, etc.
I've made only league, roster, kits so far, but really want to apply tactical edits as well. It's just super confusing as to where I'd even begin that process.Comment

Re: PES 2017 Tactics
Krebstar,
I have noticed that most (all?) your team tactics have their CF, SS, WF quite low on the team tactic sheet on possession. It doesn't seem to prevent those teams from attacking and my feeling is that it helps the team that have short pass tactics to not by pass the midfield to often.
Could you explain a bit your reasoning with these forwards rather low positioning?Comment

Re: PES 2017 Tactics
How do you guys also interprete Containment Area? I see it this way:
- Wide means the team get compact and defend the centre, driving opposition to the wings.
- Middle means the team try to occupy wings with a number of players and drive opposition to the middle.
So, quite counterintuitive. And if so, does the Middle make any sense? Teams always try to defend centre, don't they?Comment

Re: PES 2017 Tactics
No worries—the goal is just to get players closer together, and to stop frantic attacks from happening. Or long ground passes from the midfield up to a forward ready to attack if the team is more possession based.
Does it work out perfectly? Nope, but that was the thought behind it.Comment

Re: PES 2017 Tactics
Here is a Barcelona tactic I am quite happy with:
Attacking instructions:
Att Style: Possession game
Build Up: Short-pass
Att Area: Wide
Positioning: Flexible
Support range:2
Defensive Instructions:
Def Styles: Frontline Pressure
Contain Area: Middle
Pressuring: Aggressive
Def Line:8
Compactness:5
Advanced Instruction:
Attack1: Tiki-Taka
Attack2: Hug the Touchline
Def1: Gegenpress
Def2: Counter Target --> CF (Suarez)
The possession style is not as cool as in real life, but they are passing to the back even when close to the penalty area. Messi positioning is quite good also, he often tries to help construction in the midfield. Their defense is improved too, it is less porous than with their default tactic.
Here are stats line of a game I played with chelsea against them. They really managed to retain possession as they should. (25 min, 0 speed, super star)
PS: my Messi is 95 because I increased his endurance (+4) and long ball ability (+5?)Last edited by papinho81; 10-08-2016, 02:48 AM.Comment

Re: PES 2017 Tactics
Question for you guys: What difficulty are you playing on?
The build-up play is much more significant on Top Player than on Super Star. Check out the video I made and give it a try. When I played against Top Player they had 53% possession then when I played against Super Star I think they had 40% possession when I quit the game.

I am going to go with Top Player for now and hopefully it is difficult enough. At times it seems more difficult than Super Star just because they are less aggressive and don't get into as bad positions.Twitter - mendy_9

Re: PES 2017 Tactics
Krebs,
I've made the changes for Arsenal, but why do my formations look so different in comparison to yours?
It also seems to me that if you have different formations in and out of possession, the position of the players gets screwed up.

For example teams who high press need to have their positioning set to high up the pitch so they retain suitable positions to manifest the high press. If you move all the players back like many of you here seem to be doing its counter productive, actually makes the game easier and a bit of a mess like in the Benfica v Sporting match on your channel.
I'll try to get to 5 posts so i can post my premier league which TTB is using in his master league with leicester. I saw your premier league tactics and i basically disagreed with literally all of them lol sorry but the game has had a similar tatcis system since 2015 and i've learned over the last 2 games how important it is to set teams up holistically.Last edited by klashman69; 10-08-2016, 03:40 PM.Comment
