After playing a network game, going back to single player is intensely boring. I think the future of this game relies on its multiplayer mode. There's nothing like a rivalry game (in our case PSV v Ajax) between you and your friend and scoring a late equalizer to knot the game up at 3-3 (thank you Maza Rodriguez; **** you Luis Suarez and Dirk Marcellis). Maybe we can get up another OS one? Possibly a WC qualifying section one? South America? CONCACAF? Europe?

CONCACAF could be a good scenario to run.Comment

That would make future versions so much better, if we only had to schedule times for matches against each other, and matches against the CPU we would have until a scheduled upload date to play them.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I'm interested. The hard part is finding a time when everyone can do it, since it's not like OOTP and having to upload by a certain date.

Beat Azerbaijan 3-0(was actually a road game, not home like I said earlier), and then defeated Israel 5-1 in Udine.
With QPR, I think I found the next big star, a 19 year old German, has 5 goal through 10 games(A hat trick in a Champions League game).Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Just purchased this a few days ago and am now addicted! I'm not completely new to it as I have downloaded the demos the last few years but could'nt really get into it because of the limitations on the demo. I finally just decided to bite the bullet and go ahead and purchase it and immediately took control of my G's.
I already got a good facepack, logo pack and kit pack and competition name fix. I was looking for a good North American based database with all our leagues (MLS, USL, etc..) but couldn't find one and just started in the default MLS.
Couple things that stand out to me though. Is there a way to watch the match in it's entirety? or Most of it at least? Also, is there a data edit that can reduce the frequency of major injuries? It literally feels like each game somebody is going down for 5-6 weeks and already lost someone for the whole season! I'm not really overworking them either. Normal training, and I watch their condition closely before setting my match day lineup.
Any Tips??Comment

As for the injuries. Before you go editing the game (aka cheating), check out your physio in the Staff screen. You might want to get rid of the one you have if his attributes aren't any good and hire a new one. Rotate guys out if their condition percentage is low. Sometimes you can't get around it at a smaller club, but make sure you have capable cover for your starters if at all possible.
Also, download some training schedules and assign your players to them. There's ones out there called Tug's Tactics that are broken down by position. It does make a difference.
This game is so ridiculously deep you won't believe it.
EDIT:
I think whitesox might have a decent American setup. Might even have college teams. Shoot him a PM.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 07-12-2010, 10:33 PM.Comment

On the second one, at least from my experiences, the quality of regens in the superdraft isn't good enough to warrant giving up anybody decent for such a late pick.Comment
