Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Took the Uruguay job a while back when they were sitting in 7th in the WC qualifying group through 3 matches. It's been going quite well. Incredibly, Argentina did not automatically qualify and must play a playoff to get in. Without Brazil in, we've won the group.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Year two at Cosenza is going well. Unbeaten through January but one point back of the league leader (too many draws is why we're in second).
I just played a cup game where I gave up the STUPIDEST goal in FM history (at least in my many years of playing FM). Seriously, I'd expect better from a 12 yr. old youth soccer league.

The commentary called it a crazy back-pass. I call it mind-numbingly idiotic. And if you're wondering, yes, I did come back and win the game. And no, that player's match rating was not above a 5.Comment

That was a decent cross by your defender. Now he needs to work on pushing up as a winger.Comment

2nd CL game, so far leading the group after 3 games. Yakubu came on for Vaughan after he scored his hat trick.COYBComment

I have no idea how this went in.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
BTW - I took up the challenge of managing the rich misfits known as Manchester City. I've never started as a club awash in cash so this should be fun. I'm still going to build with youngters, but knowing I can sign anyone on a whim is going to be sweet.
My ins:
Alphonse Areola
Phil Jones
Connor Wickham (end of season)
Lorenzo Crisetig
Jack Robinson
Outs:
Crappy youth
Roque Santa Cruz
Trying to get Torres and Bale, but Spurs and Liverpool aren't budging. Maybe I'll get my board involved to get them. I'm playing a 4-4-2 with wingers advanced and as inside forwards. This should be interestingComment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
In my save, Spurs were asking $125 million for Bale. Then three months later, they accepted a $33 million offer from Man U, I matched it, and he ended up signing with me. He never publically handed in a transfer request, but he may have privately told them. I had offered them $54 million. It's so hard to find a natural left midfielder, let alone one that good at that age.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Got promoted in year two with Cosenza. I'd like to try and latch on with another team who won't be battling to stay up in Serie B, but the board threatens to fire me every time I apply for a new job, and I can't keep apologizing, so I have to be really careful.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Got bored with Southampton, so decided to start another with my FM team, QPR.
After getting destroyed on the opening weekend on the road to Burnley 3-0. We came home to Loftus Road to face Middlesbrough.
As you'll see, havent quite figured out how to get the kits to show up on the field.
