To get back to my lower league management of Worcester City in FM10, made it to the playoffs, but lost on aggegrate after we got dismantled on the road. Leave it to my freaking board, they cut my payroll heading into the next season. I was able to keep most of my core, and thankfully, got a couple decent regens that are good enough to start. We're not setting the world on fire this season, but we're still in playoff contention, which is better than what the board wants.

What is interesting me though is my name is coming up as a candidate for several MLS jobs that could potentially open up. I kind of want to stay in Europe...decisions, decisions.

Your decision should be to purchase FM 12 and never look back. It's an amazing game.

I've finally went ahead and purchased FM from Steam. Just finished downloading all the packs and I'm good to go to get my Chelsea run started.

Also got a question. How many leagues are you guys using in your saves? All of them? And are they all playable or viewable?

I started a save with all leagues and all playable. Loading times between days hasn't been bad. A little less then a minute depending on the activity on that day which is a lot different compared to the demo. I'm wondering if I should restart with less leagues or only keep a couple leagues as playable? Any tips would be appreciated.

I'm playing a bunch of leagues on my MacBook Pro. It runs fine for the most part

I have to say that playing as City is a ton of fun with the restrictions I placed on myself. I'm focused on signing players that I'll be able to classify as homegrown in 3 years.

So my signings before the season started:

            Vaclav Kadlec
            Jack Robinson
            Jack Butland
            Lucas Andersen
            Ross Barkley

            I sold:

            Kolo Toure (to PSG)
            Tevez (to Inter)
            Kolarov (to Malaga)
Bridge (loan to Villa with option to buy)

My team cruised through the Premier League and I have a 5 point lead over Spurs heading into the January window. My best result was a 5-1 victory over Chelsea while my worst was a 1-0 loss at home to Blackburn.

            Leading scorers:

Aguero - 22 goals in all comps
Balotelli - 20 goals in all comps
Dzeko - 14 goals in all comps

Silva has been my best player though with 11 goals and 20 assists in al comps

January window came and Spurs put in a 15 million bid for Adam Johnson and the board intervened and accepted, much to my chagrin. However, I refused to cover the wage difference and he stayed. Good choice buddy

I added Romario and Tobias Figuereido while promoting Denis Suarez to the first team and getting him mentored by Silva.

I was pretty lucky with injuries, but in a span of 2 weeks lost Barry, Yaya Toure, and Gael Clichy to long term injuries. I've played Milner, Barkley, Hargreaves, and De Jong more often as a result. Yes, Hargreaves has been healthy and playing well too

For player faces, the Megapack is the standard. Hope you have a good internet connection, because it's gigantic. Well worth the wait if you don't, though.

As for logos, I'm sure there's a comprehensive pack there as well. I honestly don't know which logo pack is best this year because I'm just using my images that I downloaded over a year ago for FM11.

Use a torrent client. Took me less than an hour to download it.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

First season with Chelsea and we are playing top notch. Very happy with my team's performance. Here is the table currently:

Last game was a very rewarding 3-0 victory over Manchester City.

My defense have been top notch only allowing 4. United is right there only allowing 6 and they've completely turned it up the last couple games.

Drogba has been a beast with me scoring 14 goals in 14 appearances so far. Sturridge has been almost just as important. Luiz is turning into unreplaceable. My only draw in the league was a 1-1 draw against Arsenal. Whether it's FM, FIFA, or PES, I just can't beat Arsenal! lol

In the CL have 1st place (9 points) along with Villarreal (9 points), Dortmund (6 points) and Viktoria Plzen (0 points). First and only loss of the campaign came against Dortmund. A 1-0 loss in Germany. About to play Villa with Drogba out, Anelka out, Terry out and Cole with be a game time decision.

Currently have 5 players out on loan and brought in Ji-Sung Park and Aleksandar Dragovic. Park was listed and became frustrated and I ended up speaking highly of him and ended up making a last minute bid right as he was set to transfer to Atletico Madrid. Park ended up breaking the deal and I guess United felt forced to sell him to me for a lower price. Board was pleased because they said it would open Chelsea up in Korea. Fans were wary about the signing but now absolutely love it. Park so far has been a pretty crucial piece of our success. He isn't part of the starting 11 but is a key rotation player.

I am loving my time with the demo of this game. It runs smoother than FM 11 did on my MacBook Pro I think. I really enjoy the new team talk features and some of the other interface upgrades.

I'm trying to just enjoy the demo and hold off on purchasing until after christmas with some extra christmas cash I'm sure to have.

For those who have upgraded to 12 from 11, do you feel it was worth it?

100% worth it for me, no doubt about that. I wouldn't say there are any major new features that have made a huge difference for me but it's all the little touches they added to just make the game a much smoother playing experience.
