I have a question for you FM'ers. How do you guys set up your scouting network?
I have been setting up my scouting network according to my scouts knowledge of the retrospective country, I having found much success in it yet because I am still getting use to how the scouting system work. Any tips would be helpful.

Also, I am excited that I was able to beat Ajax 1-0 to go on to the KNVB Beker final Guidetti scored a goal in the 5 min and we held on, Guidetti won Man of the match and also got booked again which will lead to him missing the final, sad he has to back to Man City because I know Feyenoord won't be able to afford him.

The score should have been more but I was surprised to see us take it Ajax like that, it was nice since they most likely are in place to win the league. Hopefully qualifying for the Europa league and possibly win the KNVB Beker will be enough since they wanted me to challenge for the title. All I have to do is get by ADO Den Haag who is a team that has been sub-par in the Eredivise but I have loss and drew to them already, I am hoping I can pull this one out since I will possibly be favorites.

At a top team like Citeh or Barca I put one scout on "World" and then with the remaining scouts I do one scout per region, basing my assignments on country knowledge. I give one scout the secondary assignment of my next opponent, and for the rest of the scouts I give them the secondary assignment of important leagues and competitions (UEFA CL, Barclay's Premier League, FIFA WC, etc). If I do not have enough coaches to fill each region I prioritize the more important regions rely on my "World" scout to cover the rest if needed. Frankly, I've only ever found one world class player coming from the Caribbean, so I'm not too broken up if I don't have a dedicated scout looking for talent in that area.

Yup and as far as his playing goes, lets just say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

When I started as Chelsea boss I was hoping sometime in the future I would be able to land my dream job of being Barca coach. Well after one year as Chelsea coach it looks like I have an opportunity. Pep has resigned and the reports are coming in that I am on top of Barca's list. I have not been contacted yet nor applied but I am interested. If I apply is there a good chance the media/Chelsea board will find out? Not sure I want to leave but I do want to find to out what kind, if any interest Barca have in me.

If you just apply for the job then it is very unlikely anyone will find out, however if you declare your interest as I did on my save for a job I wanted then all hell could break loose.

On a seperate note this is one of my favourite aspects of FM, bringing in newgens and seeing how they develop. This guy below I plucked from obscurity for $2.3m and he has become a top player securing the European Golden Boot along the way and is now wanted by all the big boys. However he has a $60m release clause

Well it came down to the final match of the campaign. A Battle between my 17th Baggies and 18th place Stoke. I was nervous as heck. All I needed was a draw to keep myself up, while Stoke would need a win.

                    I got my Win!

It was a nail biter but I was able to Hold Pulis' Men at bay. Here's the final results of the League. Chelsea Won the Title:

I feel bad that Tony Pulis got let go because of the result as I've always kinda liked the guy. This is the first year I've done the "Bottom at Christmas" Challenge and actually kept a team up. Maybe I am getting better at this game

Thanks. I've decided to stick it out with Chelsea. If I go to Barca it will be once the current 11 are on there way out due to age.

As far as Barca, they continue to take Arsenal pieces. Wenger has taken the HC job.

Am I the only one grinding it out in the lower leagues?

I started my career at Oberhausen in the German 3. Liga. The media predicted us to finish 4th but my board had other plans in mind. The minimum expectation was that I achieve promotion. Yikes! Well, I finished in third place. For those of you who are unaware, in the 3. Liga the top 2 teams gain automatic promotion, while the 3rd place team plays a playoff game against the 17th place (third-to-last) 2. Liga team. And in the playoff game we got spanked. My *** was handed to me on a silver platter, and after a humiliating 6-1 defeat I was promptly fired.

With my experience at Sunday League player, I had little job prospects. Offenbach came calling (likely when the 100 people they called before me all said no), so I stepped in to manage a team the board expected to achieve a mid-table position and the press expected to finish 14th.

After a few key loans (Offenbach's finances are worse than the pre-bailout banks so free transfers were out of the question) I find myself sitting in the driver's seat for automatic promotion in February. I only have a 6 point lead on the 2nd place team, but a 12 point lead on the 3rd place team has me sitting pretty. Barring a Red Sox-like late-season collapse I should be in the 2. Liga soon (and given Offenbach's finances hoping to find a new team).

Here's the current table (notice my former club, Oberhausen, is in one worse position than where I finished with them. That's what they get for firing me):

In FM 11 I spent a lot of time in the blue square premier league with Grimbsy Town. It was fun but I found things very tedious at such a low level. Anyways I left there for a Russian Job where I had a hard time communicating with the players. From there I went back to Npower league 2 and Walsall.

I like trying to promote low teams, but it's a heck of a lot of work.

It seems like alot of work but I may start another save with TSV 1860 München and see if I can get them into top flight and competing alongside Bayern in the Bundesliga.

It is a lot of work to get things in order and get a lower league club performing consistently. I found injuries can be hard because my medical staff/resources don't seem to be of the same caliber of a larger club.

Right now I'm at a decision point as to whether I continue my Bottom at Christmas save.

I did put a lot of work into bringing in veterans and signing people the likes of Steven Taylor to help build my Baggies side. I think if I can mold them the way I want I might be able to push into mid-table next year. I'm gonna give it a go and see what happens.

EDIT: Forgot I negotiated a Contract for Charlie Adam from recently relegated Blackpool before the season was over. I got him for a 6 Mill Pounds. Apparently it was a record Transfer for my club.
