I decided to start my career save with Karlsruhe in the German 3. Liga. And I got things off to a rolling start when I lost 4-0 to Karlsruhe II in a preseason friendly. Outstanding.

I always lose to my reserves.

So Grasshoppers was made a goal to avoid relegation. Ended up finishing 2nd in the Swiss Super League, and qualified for the Champions League. I will most likely soundly get trounced and bounced from it, but it's a starting point, and the money will definitely help. We lost around 1.2 million pounds last year overall. With a stupid bank loan because I had survived a takeover. Waiting for another takeover to come down the pipeline.

I posted this in the highlight thread as well, but have I told you all about the joys of lower league management?

For years, FM has equated lower league talent to something you'd find at a middle school or U-12 match. It's often quite hilarious how inept lower league players are, and events like this are not out of the ordinary.

I have deemed that tomorrow after work is the time for me to enter the 2013 ring. I have Monday off, so I'll have a good amount of time to get the initial marathon out of the way.

So in my Spurs save, freaking Adebayor tears knee ligaments in training and is out until Christmas....in pre-season too. So an already thin position requires more immediate action.

The answer - Stevan Jovetic 20 million but young and star power.

I also signed Adryan, an up and coming attacking midfielder, as well as Luke Shaw and James Ward-Prowse from Southampton in my desire to build a homegrown squad

Trick I learned about team talks: If you set your prior experience to "International Footballer", team talks are a lot more effective.

Since I'm at it, I thought I'd share what I like to use for my Custom View on the main squad screen. This fits nicely if you have a widescreen monitor, play windowed mode, and your resolution settings are something like 1680x1050.
