Getting ready to start my new year.

Last year saw my team melt down in middle march that lasted till middle april. It was just enough to get my team 1 point away from CL Footie. I managed to be one point behind Tottenham and Arsenal on the final day, with both playing the Manchester clubs. Arsenal fought to a draw and Tottenham got an 88th minute goal by Van Der Vaart to put them into CL, with me finishing one point behind in 5th.

Alas, the year wasn't a total loss. Afterall, Darren Bent had an impressive 39 goal performance...in the EPL. 52 goals overall. The team also brought home some hardwear with a Carling Cup.

The offseason has been fruitful, especially because I managed to get Berba for less than a million dollars during the offseason and Drenthe on a free from Madrid.

Looking like I am going to be a serious contender for the top 4 this year.

Ooof, the start to the season was brutal, 2 goals in 6 games. Might have made a mistake by not bringing in an experienced striker.

And as the calendar says goodbye to September, Zaha has a hat-trick at Craven Cottage for our first win of the season!

I had high expectation going into my 4th season, was hoping for an Europa League bid by either winning the DFB pokal or do well in the league. However, I'm once again battling other teams to stay up. In 15th place after 10 games

Palace update, we are in January now, 14th in the league, 10 point cushion from the drop.

Sold Off Speroni and have brought in Krul from Newcastle in this Window.

Zaha is killing it, 12 league goals so far. And Barca have made a bid of £6.5M for him, I'm countering with a £14M tag.

Also making a move for Benteke in case they match that price.

Need a CB badly, but there's nothing but trash out there.(that wants to sign for me that is)

I had a way out too, QPR approached me after they fired Moyes sitting in 14th, but I like punishment.

Never really liked the control strategy. I start with standard and switch to attacking or counter, depending on the situation.

Update on my French affairs: can't wait for the season to start.

How long does it take to learn a language? I speak English and Spanish, but no parlevoux francais

Scored first at Barcelona last night to take a 2-1 aggregate lead in my first Champions League knockout round. Took that lead well into the second half, too.

Of course they scored the next two despite Messi being out and Iniesta getting hurt and having to be replaced and I lost.

I'd rather I had been dumptrucked. ****ing game got my hopes all up and ****.

But really though, can't wait to see them develop. I knew begging my board for great youth facility would pay dividends. I'm "letting" Thomsen go to Bayern Munich. Hope he fails there.

Edit: Also lost Klein to them. IDC, as long as it ain't Iannicca.

I should feel bad about what just happened, 4th round of the FA Cup, I'm facing bottom of the table Huddersfield(in the championship), they lead the match on three different occasions.

I decided to go all out on the final 10 minutes, because I didnt want a replay, in added time they catch me on a break, 4 on 1. Guy with the ball crosses the ball, and they have a 3 on 0 with an empty net, and the dude dribbles into his own teammate, my guys recover in time to clear the ball. In the 4th minute of added time, I take one of their goal kicks and go down the pitch and score the winner. Ooof.

I have a strong bias AGAINST English players, because they cost an arm and a leg to buy for not a whole lot of talent half the time. I guess I have had a lot of success with French players and Belgians as well.
