Well, onto the next. I guess I'm pulling a Mo, but I just love Crystal Palace. Plus, I unseat Ian Holloway, which is much fun for me.
Did you not have a backup save? If you select in the preferences that you want a new file to be created for each autosave, that should avoid avoid the corruption issue. Also, if you have Windows and restore points, you can right click on the save file and select "restore previous versions" and that should give you a working, uncorrupted save.

Also, this just happened after I sat down with my striker Tom Pope and told him to buck up, or find a seat with the reserves

Hooray, more matches to be played next year!

5 in a row for Bayern, we all suck. I did give Bayern their only loss earlier in the year, they responded by beating my 7-1 in our 2nd match.

Leverkusen have offered me their job. I dont want to leave Palace, but they do provide a quicker path to the Champions League.

Plus I've never won in Germany.

                Bah.

Is it cheating if I bought Wycombe's player-manager(Gareth Ainsworth) while they were above me in the league, just to watch them tumble down while Ainsworth rode my bench(and managed my non-existent reserves team)

Millwall's fun way to lose #21. Take 2-0 lead at home in the 78th. Wolves striker scores hat trick in the last 10 minutes.

Now at 2-7-21 on the season.

Even the board expects us to survive, they think we're still in a relegation battle even though we really aren't. We did just win to go to 3-7-21 and are 13 points from safety with 7 matches left. No chance, though. Our final 4 matches are Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man U. LOL.

The only things making my job stable still are club stature is high, they are pleased with a couple transfers, salary control, good squad harmony, and I made it one round further than expected in the COC.

Decided to make save at the point where Leverkusen made that offer. I'll come back to it when I get bored with Palace

And at Selhurst Park, Halfway, not bad so far.

Just beat West Ham at Upton Park 2-0. Season deemed a success.

That would be our first two-game winning streak of the season.

Make it 3. LOL Wigan, we win 5-1.

Well, it took until the 35th match, but we are finally relegated.

Man U came into The Den with a chance to win the league on the final day. They got humbled 3-0. This is the team that handed us our worst loss of the season, 0-6 at Old Trafford. The highlight of the match was definitely Nani hitting a penalty directly up the middle that our keeper calmly caught. And with the win, we jumped ahead of Wigan to finish 19th. The first time since early September we haven't been bottom of the league!

I haven't been fired and we're swimming in cash. If the right club approaches me, I'm out. But if not, we're in pretty good shape going forward.

Well, it was fun, Millwall. Southampton has approached me. They finished in 7th and are in the Europa League next year. I'm taking over for a retiring Gerard Houllier. Easy decision.
