Installed the game on another laptop I got and it runs terrible but yet I can play PES 2013 with mods in 1080p and high with no issue but FM13 is all choppy. I know it's not a specs issue so I'm not sure where this choppiness is coming from.

Only thing I can think of is to check the video settings in the Preferences menu. But I'm sure you've already done that.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I had a similar issue with my MacBook Pro so I changed the video settings to medium and it's smooth as silk now. I had no such issues running the game on my PC.
BTW, an update on my Milan save - I beat Juve 2-1 in a heated contest that had it all - missed penalties, sendings off, and a dramatic end of the game.
Game started off terribly for me as we went down 1-0 thanks to some terrible marking from Balotelli on a set piece. Progressively, things got worse as Mexes went off with what turned out to be torn knee ligaments 12 minutes in. To make matters worse, Kevin Constant picked up his second yellow card before halftime to have me at 10 men and 1-0 down.
Undaunted, I continued to push and Milan's moment came when Balotelli capitalized on a bad challenge by De Ceglie to score on a penalty to equalize. Moments later, Barzagli picked up his 2nd yellow to even up the numbers.
Of course, de Jong got hurt and M'Baye Niang picked up his 2nd yellow card for diving and I'm down to 9 men. Just as I start playing for the draw, Boateng scores off a corner to give me a 2-1 lead in the 77th minute. I switch to a defensive tactic trying to pick up the 3 points.
Things go well until Zapata, my error prone defender, chops down Vucinic in the area in the 88th minute. I curse my screen and call Zapata a piece of you know what. Pirlo steps up and......SAVE BY ABBIATI!!!!
Hold out for the 2-1 win to keep my 100% record in Serie A and things are rosy for my young, but talented side. Forza Milan!Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Heading into the winter break with a 100% record although I have labored to break down relegation sides. Having said that, I'm in great shape to win the league as Juve are 13 points back.
CL saw me drawn against Lille. Thank God it wasn't Barca lol. I set a goal to make the quarters with the squad I have so if we can beat Lille, I'll be happy.
Transfers for next season so far:
-Koval, Dynamo Kyiv 20 million
-Santon, Newcastle, 15 million

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Anyone using the Stelko Skin with FM 13 that can help me out?
The skin is defaulting to the soccer ball background and I'd like to change it to a plain background but can't find the option under preferences. Someone help me out.
Man I step away from this game for a couple months and I forget everthing....Comment

"1.png" is the one that loads by default. Just rename whichever one you'd like to "1.png" or you can substitute whatever graphic you'd like, as long as you keep the naming convention.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I started a save with Inter Milan w/the new patch and updated transfers. Wow, Inter sure are in a financial mess. I started the season with old players and no transfer money. Thankfully Massimo Moratti sold the team. Any ways here is the final standings:
With the new owners coming in I got a nice 31 million transfer budget:
I got Verrati for 9 million with me paying 4 million for the next 48 months, hoping I can groom him to become a Pirlo Type DM for me. Did not resign Zanetti or Samuel, I was paying too much for 30+ year olds. Next year I got Milito and Cambiasso coming off the books so that should help me with the wages.Last edited by jvalverde88; 03-14-2013, 07:04 AM.Mets/Giants/Knicks/Rangers/Manchester United/Notre Dame Football

Just got offered Leverkusen. I don't know if i should take it or not!! Currently waiting on the Hertha post to open up. They just completed a takeover and the club is dead last in the 2.Bund. Both rejected me but 1860 offered and I took.Last edited by gomuherdclassof2k10; 03-14-2013, 10:48 AM.Washington Nationals

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Nice work jvalverde. Inter is a mess to start as are most of the sides. The fun thing about the Serie A is that playing youth players is so much fun. Can't believe Milan came 15th though with Balotelli lolComment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Well, after winning nothing of note other than a couple Capital One Cups, 2016-2017 was the year. After spending a ton of money building my squad, it was pretty much make or break on the financial side. We squeaked into 4th and a Champions League spot at the end of 2016 thanks to a win and a Man City loss on the final day of the season. Then it came together. I paid off all the installments on my transfers during the year and sold a bunch of surplus to come out slightly ahead on net transfers despite having a transfer budget north of $100 mil (which if I actually spent would have been incredibly foolish). And this was the result:
The CL run had me hanging on every moment. We drew an easy group to get to the knockout stages. And that's where it just got ridiculous. I drew Lille and promptly lost 3-1 at their place to open it. At 0-0 after the first half in the home leg, it looked bleak. Then a thrilling 3-goal second half including a 30-yard bomb by Shaqiri meant we advanced. There we drew 2-time defending EPL champion juggernaut Arsenal. They had completely run away with the league two years in a row. This time we lost away from home in the first leg 2-1. The home leg saw us score and somehow hang on for the 1-0 win and aggregate victory with the away goal. And then we drew 2-time defending Champions League holders Man U. This time we played at home first and came out with a deserved 1-0 victory with a goal in the 87th minute. It honestly should have been 3-0. The away leg saw Man U miss several chances to score, and we secured our spot in the final with a goal in injury time at the end after they sent De Gea forward on a corner. The final against Porto was actually quite relaxing after taking the early 2-0 lead. A goal on the last kick made the scoreline a bit better for them, but in reality, we were always in control.
Suddenly we have well over $100 million in the bank, young stars, and some kids up and coming. I won't need to buy any players, so I'm hoping to sock away some more money this next season and get the board to build a new stadium that holds more than 45k.Comment

To add to that, you'll see that there are 6 background images in that folder. You can replace all of them, just make sure to save them as 1.png, 2.png, etc. To change to a background other than the default, click on the icon that looks like a gear in the upper left. There you can choose which of your six you want and adjust the fade percentage. When you are choosing an image, try and find a higher resolution. I find that images that are designed to be desktops work great.Comment
