On another note, there's actually some pretty handy youngsters coming through the youth system at Kitchee. For example, I gave a 14 year old GK his debut, not just out of age but he's better than my starting GK! I'd be shocked if he isn't in the Hong Kong squad by his 19th birthday, only the current starter for the National Team is better.
isn't that how they do it there? Just look at the olympic gymnastics team :P

Been a while since i updated you guys... I was underperforming at Ribeirão (portuguese nat'l chip league) because we couldn't defend and i had zero wage bill to work with... and couldnt find a loan to save my job. So i was sacked.

Fast forward about 8 months and I still don't have a job. Having few interviews abroad but nothing resulting in an offer. Obviously I'm going to take anything i can get. So i got offered by newly promoted Sourense (also Portuguese). We probably enough wage budget to get 3 "quality" players if I need to. I had to sign an entire staff but lucked out and got 2 "awesome" scouts (one is 15 JA 15 JP and the other is 12 JA 13 JP). Definitely good enough for this league. Anyways, I don't think the board has any specific goals for me so I hope they'll be satisfied with a top half finish in this first season.

I got far too cocky after the 3-0 aggregate win over Madrid, going to Allianz-Arena I, for whatever reason, decided that it'd be better to go with an all out attack.

      We lost 0-3.

      Super dumb.

Beat Inter at home 2-0, then drew with them at San Siro 1-1. In between though I've lost to Barca and Levante in La Liga, but managed to win 3-2 against Real Madrid.

Didn't know there was a thread for my favorite game.

I'm currently in 2024/2025 with RB Leipzig, finally won the Bundesliga last season. Next goal is to establish dominance in Germany and win the Champions League.

I'm also the manager of Netherlands, but that's not going well, surprised I haven't been sacked already.

After losing the league title in 2024/2025, I invested heavily and it is paying off!!
What a brilliant first half of the season

            Here's the league history.

I've had a lot of success in the domestic cup.

And the WC 2026 groups have been drawn, it couldn't have gone worse for me.

Oh yea, I forgot to mention I quit the Netherlands job and took over Japan, but it's obvious from the screenshot.

Bet you had a good laugh about that!

I've finally decided to leave Kitchee. 2 and a half years was a little too long and I wanted to go to Europe. After applying for a few and not getting interviews thanks to the the compensation required to get me out of my contract, I resigned. A couple weeks later Brechin City up in Scotland offered me a job. They're in League 1, a couple of divisions below the Premiership.

It's currently January 2017, so I'm probably gonna be here till at least December before I start getting the itch to move.

I'm now 3-2-0 against Jurgen Klopp's Madrid team. Both draws at Bernabeu, 3 wins at home. I'm obviously Klopp's kryptonite.

Also, I'm happy to see that I'm not the only who sometimes gets bored with teams quickly, I've been at Malaga for nearing two years now, and it's been boatloads of fun, but I applied(and was denied) the Inter and Arsenal jobs during my tenure. I think Viborg is the only team I love the long-term build up.

I think it very much depends on who my team is for me personally. If I take Portadown or Leeds then I'll stay there as I've got a connection to them, whilst with others I don't really feel the same.

Doesn't help by adding to that I haven't managed Gibraltar yet. That was going to be one of my saves on this FM and I haven't tried with them so far.

Gonna try the San Marino challenge, going to try to get San Marino Calcio into Serie A and the national team to do something good.... Either I'm going to have a lot of fun with it or I break a lot of things in my room.

                      Well **** me right?

I'm forced to play Real Madrid twice in a season, in La Liga, that's fine, I'm okay with that...
This year, I had to play them in the Supercopa, which, fair enough, that happens
Then I had to play them in the Copa del Rey Fourth Round, not a QF/SF, the fourth round
NOW I HAVE TO PLAY THEM IN THE SECOND KNOCKOUT ROUND OF THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE.

I'm tired of Madrid! I need a holiday!

I just about chose the worst team to deal with the congested fixtures of the Championship. I pretty much can only sign a few extremely cheap backup players with the 10k left I have in wages, and that's with having to max out wages, giving me no transfer money.

2025/2026 was a historic season in the Bundesliga because I set a new record for points what will probably never be broken.

In the Champions League all I could manage was the semi final, so that's a competition I still haven't won.

2026/2027 wasn't so successful in the Bundesliga, but I still managed to win the title in the last week.

AND FINALLY, I HAVE WON THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE!!!!!!!

Here's the entire Champions League journey

WELP. Here's the year I had vs Real Madrid

                            Supercopa: Malaga 3-0 Real Madrid
                            Supercopa: Real Madrid 0-0 Malaga
La Liga: Malaga 3-2 Real Madrid
La Liga: Real Madrid 3-0 Malaga
Copa Del Rey: Malaga 4-2 Real Madrid
Copa Del Rey: Real Madrid 0-0 Malaga
Champions League: Real Madrid 2-2 Malaga
Champions League: Malaga 2-0 Real Madrid

That makes me a total of 4-3-1 against Madrid this year, won Supercopa, won the Copa del Rey tie, won the Champions League tie.

But of course, since I'm managing, we'll go 4-3-1 against Madrid and 0-1-1 vs Zaragoza. We're still sitting fifth in the league.

Sometimes I feel I'm playing FIFA rather than FM with the amount of 90 minute goals I give up.
