Lost 13-0 to England, at least I can only go up from here right??

With the club team, I was up 7-6 at half in a friendly. I laughed for a good 5 minutes looking at that score, lost 8-7 in the end, but didn't really care.

I don't get this, we lost 2-1 at Old Trafford, then the La Liga game in the middle WE LOSE 3-0 TO SEVILLA. But for whatever reason, we can come back and win in the Champions League Semi-Final against Manchester United.

YOU GUYS CAN BEAT MANCHESTER ******** UNITED BUT YOU CAN'T EVEN SCORE A GOAL AGAINST ******* SEVILLA, WHAT THE ACTUAL ****

On that note, yay! we beat man utd and we're going to the Champions League Final!

I love the new board interactions. Compared to previous years, it feels like you have real interaction with the board. Especially when your team is struggling, they request a meeting to ask about certain results and how you're going to change things.

And on that note, I might be sacked soon as Brechin City manager after finishing the season being relegated to the bottom tier of Scottish football. They were bottom of the league when I was appointed about 10 or so points adrift with around 12 games left. I clawed my way back to level pegging on the last day but a defeat and a Montrose, who were above me, draw sent me down by a point.

If past FMs are any indication, the board will start next season satisfied with your performance as manager, so I think as long as you meet the expectations you set with them, you should be fine.

After being told by the board I had to win my next match or be fired, I called a team meeting, successfully motivated 3 players (woo-hoo!) and then went on a four match winning streak. Feeling like I was finally turning a corner, I lost Ozil and Cazorla in the same match to month long injuries. My squad must be made of glass.

On a more positive note, I finished second in my CL group, so at least I'm in the knockout stages. Problem is, I'm sitting 8th in the league with 7 starters injured and may need to win the CL if I'm going to play in it next year. Not the first season at Arsenal I was hoping for.

Edit: And to make matters worse, I just drew Chelsea in the FA Cup 3rd Round instead of the myriad of CH and L1 teams. FM is just trolling me right now.
To update this, with all the injuries I continued to lose. The board called a meeting with me and told me if I didn't attend I was fired. Although if I did attend I was probably fired anyway, since the first time I attended such a "save my job" meeting the board told me exactly where I could stick my injury situation defense. So I claimed injuries were killing me once more, since it's the truth, but the board once more acted unimpressed. Wankers.

Scrambling and knowing the next words out of my mouth could result in my termination, I promised the board things would look different in five matches time (which would take place over a month). Yes, that's it. Buy myself a month, since several key players are two weeks away from returning to full training. Then I pumped my fist as the board agreed to give me a month! Oh yeah, that's right! Who's a super genius? THIS GUY! "Wait...you want me to....what?" My elation turned to disbelief as the board told me that I had to win a minimum of 15 points from those five matches. ARE YOU SERIOUS YOU HALF-EVOLVED SIMIAN WANKERS?! A MINIMUM OF 15 POINTS? I CAN'T SCORE ANY HIGHER THAN 15, IDIOTS! Yup, it turns out I needed to go on a 5 match winning streak or be fired. Easy-peasy.

So I called a team meeting and successfully motivated 16 players. Naxto Monreal thought I was being too hard on the team and got seriously demotivated. I guess he forgot the part where sitting in 10th place was not an acceptable position for Arsenal. His morale went to abysmal, and he picked up a red card in the next match after a vicious two-legged tackle that got him suspended for 4 matches. I fined him two weeks wages, he felt the fine was unfair. SERIOUSLY? YOU MIGHT HAVE JUST ENDED SOMEONE'S CAREER AND YOU THINK IT'S UNFAIR THAT I FINE YOU FOR THAT? What, was I supposed to pat you on the back and say "that was great! I really enjoyed the part where you broke that guy's leg in two! Keep up the good work!" After telling the Nacho Man (it would have been in a Cartmen voice, if only that were a selectable tone in FM) that he needed to "respect my Authoritay!" Monreal decided he couldn't work with me anymore and his morale went to abysmal. I've had my captain and assistant go and talk to him, but it still hasn't changed 10 matches later.

The red card came in the 90th minute of a 3-0 Arsenal victory over Cardiff. 3 points out of fifteen secured. But rather than go through each match of this 5 match spell, I'll fast forward to 10 matches played. How many points secured? 30! Oh yeah, that's right! Who's a super genius? THIS GUY!

The 10 match winning streak saw me vault into 3rd place. I'm 4 points out of 2nd (Chelsea), 8 points out of 1st (Man Utd.), and two points clear of 4th (Liverpool). Team morale is sky-high, except for that wanker Monreal, and my 10th win was an 8-2 drubbing of Norwich. Giroud scored 6 goals in the affair to get the rare perfect 10 match rating, and Norwich committed 4 penalties.

Finally, I should add that in January, without me even asking, the board decided that our finances were so good they were giving me $16 mil in transfer money. WOO-HOO! I LOVE YOU GUYS! I DIDN'T BACK WHEN YOU WANTED TO FIRE ME, BUT NOW YOU'RE THE BEST! I used it to buy Doria and Carlos Vela, who only cost me $5 mil and $6mil USD respectively. Huge bargains. Then I struck gold in the free transfer market. Timo Werner, Julian Brandt, Antonia Candreva, Alex, and.....wait for it....VICTOR FREAKING VALDES! I have no idea why Barca didn't just pay the best GK in FM whatever he wanted, but their loss is my huge gain. I had to give him a massive contract and a highest earner clause, but it's going to be so worth it next season when he's blanking the opposition.

With key players back from injury, things are looking up. But with the way this season is going, I wouldn't be surprised if I'm fighting for my job again within the month.

EDIT: After the 8-2 victory over Norwich I had a massive 1-0 victory over 2nd place Chelsea. Things are finally coming together. Let's hope I don't later regret typing that last sentence.

After losing in the Copa del Rey final to Barcelona, finishing 4th in La Liga, and losing in the Champions League final to FC Bayern, I decided to create an alternate save, where I resign from Malaga, after so much success at both Paris FC and Malaga, I'm curious as to how many job offers I'll get. My current goal is to probably go to the MLS for the first time in my FM career. I've already been approached by 6 clubs during the off-season.

On that note, does anyone else feel a great sense of pride when they leave a club, and staff members follow or players complain? After resigning 15 staff members followed me out the door, and the two star players(Isco and Andres Luna) have handed in transfer requests, I've also achieved "Legend" status at Malaga.

I love it when the entire staff leaves with me. It also doesn't hurt that them leaving makes it easier and cheaper for me to sign them.

Regarding job offers, I would expect some elite top-tier would be coming your way given all you achieved at Malaga. So if you want to manage in the MLS, go for it, but I would expect some CL contenders to come knocking.

Also, I went to the US, literally. I'm managing the US probably through the 2018 World Cup, then I'll put myself back on the market, unless Chicago, Seattle, Colorado, Arsenal, Inter or Dortmund sack their managers.

Season was going terribly, allowing like 3~4 goals a game, so had to change my tactics. Got 31 points in the next 48 points. Facing Virtus Entella in the Quarter final. Would love to get promotion, we are losing money every month.

In the offseason, if you schedule friendlies vs. giant clubs, you can bring in a lot of money and that can offset any losses you make over the season.

Yep, that's what I was planning to do. Good thing this team already had Bologna and Cesena as parent clubs, got some nice young players on loan for free.

Quarterfinal update: Allowed an early goal in both halves, was down 2-0 for most of the game. So I decided to go all out attack from the 60th minute on, but I got like no chances while the other team was getting chance after chance. Not my night....until my striker got a goal in the 80th minute to make it 2-1. And then got a goal in the 90th minute to send it to extras No goal in extra time and went to penalties. 1st shooter missed for both teams and then neither decided to miss for 7 straight rounds, this kind of sucks when your team is shooting 2nd. Their player makes the PK, and my player hits the post and we lost 7-8 on penalties.

Just saw that we were outshot 35-10 in this game.

Edit: Went from Lega Pro Prima Division A to Lega Pro Prima Division B, group C was formed as well. I am so confused lol.

I may have completely messed up my Brechin career. After going down our wage budget got reduced by half and combined with all but 1 of my squad leaving meant I had to build a squad from scratch. I realised about the wage budget a bit too late, which now means I have a very thin squad.

I've got a superb defence and enough players, but I only have 4 midfielders (I play 4 in midfield) and a striker. Oops.

I've also incredibly tempted to play as a big side. I just want to play around with money!
