Lost to Preston at home 5-1, win the next game against Leicester 4-0 away. As you do.

Well... maybe he wants to wait and see how good he gets since he's only 16. Will probably take him 5 years to realize he's not quite good enough :P

Still playing FM13 and just had the most frustrating match ever in my FM career. To set the scene...fourth round of the Scottish Cup on the road against Dundee United (who smoked me out of the League Cup 3-0 a month and a half prior).

3rd minute - Dundee United score when their winger goes right around my right back and then runs up and knocks the ball in off the keeper.
10th minute - Dundee United make it 2-0 when my keeper dropped the ball and then dove like a mongoloid and missed it.
22nd minute - Dundee United make it 3-0 when my winger missed an interception and the keeper was hung out to dry.
        36th minute - We make it 3-1.
38th minute - My keeper rushed out to get the ball....he didn't get to it in time....4-1 and I yanked him out and put in my 19-year old 3rd choice (because my second choice got hurt in training).

Half-time was probably epic and I told the whole team to SHOW ME SOMETHING.

        46th minute - We make it 4-2.
        52nd minute - Make that 4-3.
        60th minute - That was a totally a penalty...WTF?!?!?!
        76th minute - That was totally not a penalty....5-3.
        86th minute - We make it 5-4.

Probably the worst 45 minutes of football I've ever managed...followed by the most spirited 45 minutes of football I've ever managed...only to have the officials have to have a say in it. And their striker got a hat trick....which is amazing considering he was on a 600 minute scoreless streak heading into the game.

Whilst on the topic of Dundee United, they have a couple of superb young players. There's a winger named Ryan Gauld and a central defender called John Souttar who would be worth a look at at any level.

Also, about a third of the way through my second season, I think I might have finally got it right with Leeds:

                Don't mind this at all.

I have no clue how we got promoted, my tactics need a lot of retooling. Went into the final game at 2nd place and lost to Cittadella, and I thought playoffs again However, Palermo conceded a goal to Avelinno in the 89th minute and lost while Bari lost 2-0 to 18th Lumezzane!

Can't wait to be back in Serie B in a year.

More good news, a great young regen I lost to Cagliari couple years ago finally accepted my callup to the National team, woot!

Sorry for the long, skinny picture... but I had my first ever 10.0 rating.

One of the features that I've come to really like is interviews. I've been offered by Palace and Norwich, to which I declined and accepted respectively. Considering I'm at the start of November, Norwich said they would give me just under £10m (around $16.5m). My jaw dropped.

Its going to be tough, luckily I've been in the Serie A for 2 straight years but I think my luck is running out this year and I'm currently in last. Next season I'm opening a new stadium too.

I like it except for the fact that I kept getting interview offers from 2nd and 3rd division teams.

I am really trying to start molding tactics around the team I have, I like that they made it so you get a description of all the instructions if you hover over them. In the FM13, there were plenty of times where I would not consider using a few of the instructions because I simply didn't know what they meant or how they worked.

After getting smoked by Arsenal and drawing 1-1 with Cardiff I decided to change things up.

I am running a 4-4-1-1 now. Soldado striker, Eriksen/Sigurdsson CAM, and a stable of: Lamela, Dembele, Paulinho, Sandro, Capoue, Chadli, Townsend, and Lennon (I think that's everyone) for those 4 midfield spots.

When I play teams that I feel I'm better than, I run a high tempo, short passing, control game. Looking for overlap, and working the ball in the box.

It's been pretty effective so far, after the rough start to the season, I have won 3 straight games, and was the September manager of the month.

Sitting in 6th place heading into October, so it's been a solid first month and a half!

I should have taken this. I was sacked just over a month later with us sat in 10th place. Since posting that league table, I went on a horrible run of form winning 2 of the next 7.

Now I'm not quite sure what to do. I felt like I was making progress but obviously the board felt different. Either onto a new save (again) or just carry on with this. Might just take a long break from FM.

Finally got the first win in Serie A, it only took me 20 games! 5 points in 20 games......on the bright side we've already made close to 20M this year, it's not all bad.

Been reading about the latest patch being bad and causing people to lose games they really shouldn't be losing due to the player's team suddenly becoming stupid 75% of the time.

Anyone else feel the same way? Latest match I played my keeper literally just stood there looking to the side as the cross came in, bounced away from his teammates, still looking to the side and not moving, until the opposition player got a rebound and smashed it in. All while my keeper kept staring where the action isn't is. Won't even mention all the other times my defenders didn't get a ball they could get to.
