I've taken over my first international job as the Australian U-22 coach for the 2015 AFC U-22 championships. That should be interesting.

With the World Cup in full swing now, here's what happened in my save's 2014 WC. Brazil defeated Argentina 2-1 to claim their 6th title.

The US had a solid draw with Croatia, Northern Ireland and Morocco. They lost to Croatia, which fair enough, that should happen. Beat Northern Ireland handily and were ahead of Morocco by a point heading into the final group match.
All the US had to do was draw and they were through.
But no. 2-1. Chamakh scores in the 88th minute. Morocco advances along with Croatia.

Notably both Germany and Holland failed to get out of the group stage. Holland was third to Chile and Belgium. Germany was behind Greece and Mexico.

England made it all the way to the semi-final, losing to Argentina on penalties.

Wait, Northern Ireland!? I've never seen them get through to the 14 World Cup. It's almost impossible.

Whilst on the subject of making it to the World Cup...

Boom! Through to the 2022 World Cup on goal difference. I lost twice to Serbia, I'm just glad that they came unstuck against other teams.

Speaking of the World Cup... my counter attack did decidedly better than I had ever imagined...





Now I have high expectations for everything else...

the best part was the media blasting my squad selections, and one of the key players on my squad only being 19, ended up winning best young player at the Cup

More so in terms of leading teams and nations. After a few years there's normally one or two nations which become really good and the odd weird countries that have one of the best players in the world.
