Trying to get the "English Hero" achievement. What a grind this is, hopefully I actually get this achievement if I make it to PL since I didn't get the "Italian Hero" When I got San Marino Calcio to Serie A.

So, I've created Yorkshire (and messed up England in the process for now) for my probable final save on FM14. This was the first international selection:

The competition level for the top division is just below the Scottish Premier League. The national reputation is between Scotland and Wales, it seems about right for me but I'd like thoughts. There's european qualification but it's right at the bottom at the moment (like a new nation, e.g. Gibraltar) would be.

12 team top league which is: Barnsley, Bradford, Doncaster, Grimsby, Huddersfield, Hull, Leeds, Rotherham, Scun-thorpe, Sheff Wed, Sheff Utd and York.

Looks like my bid for a 3-peat with Spurs is going to fall short. Man U are having a ridiculous season. 24 wins, 2 draws, 1 loss. And their only loss so far in the league is to newly promoted Barnsley. I'm currently sitting in 3rd with 58 points, City in second with 59.

Focus is fully shifted to the Champions League now. First knockout round matchup is against Udinese. Just won the first leg (away) 5-2. Although I'm not very confident of my team once we get to the next legs and meet up with the giants like Bayern, Real, Barca.

Bring in two guys at the deadline who are AMC/R/L/ST and then my starting AMC/R/L/ST (I love flexibility and the ability to swap positions) gets his feelings hurt....sigh, luckily he accepted my challenge of "Show me why you deserve to be in the first team."

Makes me want to scream at the player. "Dude, I'm bringing these other guys in not because you aren't performing. It's because you're buddies can't seem to find the FREAKING NET!!!!"

I hate that. Annoying when I bring in people (clearly inferior to my starters at their position) who are just for depth and cup matches, and then they get all pissy when they don't play.

Sweet Jesus. And Lamela was injured for this game, so I had to roll with Townsend on the left. I did NOT expect to win this handily.

Now just can't get blown out at Old Trafford and I'll be in to the semifinals!

So now that I'm finally able to play FM with no problems on this laptop, I decided to start a save with Ipswich.

Marcus Evans also sold Ipswich, so hopefully the new owners give me some transfer funds.

Lost to Man U at Old Trafford 1-0, which means I won 3-1 on aggregate. Yes, I parked the bus hardcore.

Got drawn against Real Madrid in the semifinal.

                          I'm scared to play it.

Just did something I've never done in FM, I went a calendar year without losing a match. 68 matches.
Don't you EVER read my blog? It's gotten a lot better.

This game is just like real life. How you ask? Because managing Tottenham is infuriating. Having no strikers who can put the ball in the back of the net consistently is driving me mad. Even after selling half the strikers in the beginning, most of my goals come from midfield.

I'm destined to always be 5th.

Enes Unal is developing quite nicely for me with Spurs. Got him relatively cheap from Turkey. Bursaspor I think it was.
