Why you troll me FM Gods? I sign Davide Petrucci from ManU. He's perfect for my system as a central attacking midfielder. He's going to be my playmaker. He was amazing in preseason. I'm just giddy with anticipation.....

And he suffers a pulled groin in training the day before the start of the season?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Sometimes FM makes you pay a nice things tax. Just be careful about trying to bring him back too early. Sometimes it's hard to ease a new signing back in like you should, leading to a lost season of nagging injuries.

Were you able to get through without major injuries? Seems impossible. Rough luck having so many games in a week haha

I fielded by B Team for the two draws, and the loss was a lot of U19ers, otherwise I just tried to mix things up all the time between my 3 squads to keep people fresh.

And I finished 2nd in the Serie A by 1 measly point. Frustrating. At least this time the board gave me a decent transfer budget. 43 mil is way more than the lousy 6 mil they gave me last summer, and it's a number I can work with.

And for the 3rd time, Bayern Munich offered me a job. But they only offered me a 33 mil transfer budget, which is 10 mil less than what I was given at Roma for this upcoming season. So it was an easy decision to say no.

In my second season with Lille and its going pretty well, last year I won the league and league cup, and now...

Also Sebastien Corchia made the world XI, and also has the highest average rating of everyone else who made it

Interesting tidbit from the job interview I had at Bayern Munich: They asked me why I had "struggled" at Roma and Arsenal. Uh, in three years of managing I've won an FA Cup, Capital One Cup, Serie A title, and Tim Cup. I don't think I've been struggling. They offered me the job of course, so clearly it wasn't a huge issue.

My second season isn't going so well at Liverpool. And to make matters worse, I made a classic FM mistake and went into a transfer window after having a few beers. Panic bought Kevin de Bruyne for a ton of money, who plays a position I have plenty of young, good players for already (namely Sterling and Markovic).

So, the stars aligned finally and I took the US job before 2030. In 2017 the US is down to 56th in the World, and are in danger of not qualifying for the World Cup. While I scout and look at the squad, the new manager of JJK sells the ENTIRE starting XI, below their market value, and brings in 11 new guys. WELP.

Was able to make up for that buy by selling Markovic to Wolfsburg for $40 million on deadline day. Only $4 million less than what I bought de Bruyne from them for.

So basically markovic plus 4 mil for de bruyne. Not a bad bit of business. I had markovic in another save and never could get the most out of him
