Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Russia didn't put up much of a fight, and England have followed up their WC win with a UEFA Nations League Championship!
On another note, what the hell do I have to do to be ranked #1 in the world? Hey, FIFA, I won your World Cup, then I won the UEFA Nations League, and I'm undefeated in my EURO qualifying group. So how am I ranked 3rd?Attached FilesComment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Have a feeling this is going to be a tumultuous summer transfer period for me. I'm already aiming to get rid of a few players who have been complaining about playing time. But first day of vacation and centerback Seb Faure has come to me and said he has accomplished everything he thinks he can at Rangers and wants a new challenge.
This guy has been in my starting lineup since day one, making 247 appearances for me. Hate to see him go, but now is the time to try and get the best deal for the club.
Hope that doesn't become the norm for my guys that have formed my nucleus.
In other news, winger Jesse Lingard won the Scottish Footballer of the Year award, making 39 appearances, scoring 11 goals and assisting 11 more with an average rating of 7.3. Midfielder Luke Young finished third in the Premier League Player of the Year, making 44 appearances, scoring 5 goals and assisting 7 more with an average rating of 7.23. I won the SPL Manager of the Year and the Writers' Head Coach of the Year award. Keeper Mickey Van Der Hart was named to the SPL Team of the Year, making 38 appearances, allowing 30 goals and recording 17 shutouts with an average rating of 7.09.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Hmm...So I am kicking major arse in Serie A, yet my 2 best veteran strikers want to leave in Tevez and Llorente. Chelsea have made a 20 million bid, which is a lot for a 31-year-old striker whose physical stats are starting to decline. Problem is that he's leading Serie A in scoring and playing really well. Having said that, I don't think I'll get that much for him at the end of the season....Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I'm up by 11 points on Roma. I was going to sign Berardi right away while slotting Coman in as a false 9 until the summer when Dybala came in. I'm leaning towards letting him go only because he already wants to go back to the Premier League. Losing his goals will be tough but Berardi has 14 goals already and has played well. If I can sign him, I'll be fine I thinkComment

Bought FM15 this weekend on Steam since it was on sale. That's right. Finally upgraded from FM13. Trying to rebuild my FM13 tactic in FM15....it's kinda rough. Lol

I resisted the temptation to pick up FM15. I'm still on FM14 and am just finally getting going in a save. I'll hold off until 16 or maybe even 17.Comment

If you're going to have one FM for a few years, I would definitely get 15 when it's on sale again and go with that. It's the best it's been in years.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
So I ended up selling Tevez and Real went in for Llorente so I sold him too and pocketed a cool 35 million. I ended up buying Berardi's 50% and signed Zaza. My DOF signed Patric and Bakkali on free transfers for the summer while I hijacked United and snagged Verratti for next season. I sold Luca Marrone and got Vidal to sack his agent when he demanded that I open contract talks. Greedy SOB. Meanwhile my defense hasn't conceded in 14 straight games. Maybe I can get the 30 game achievement.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
This has been a frustrating start to the offseason. My #1 target, Gabriel Barbosa, wanted a 20mil p/a contract, 10mil as a signing bonus, 10mil for his agent, 60k per appearance, 50k per goal, 30k unused substitute fee, 2mil for winning the champions league, and 30% sell-on-fee percentage. Enjoy not playing in the Champions League, you greedy SOB.
Then my wonderkid CB demands a non-negotiable 20 mil minimum fee release clause if he is going to resign (he has 12 months remaining). I have no choice but to give him the clause. The day after he signs his new contract Man City. swoop in and meet the clause. Enjoy also not playing the Champions League.
Luckily, there is still a lot of time to turn things around, and a 19 yo world class AM just threw a fit about not being able to join my squad. If I can sign him, I'm back in business.Comment
