Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

After messing around with several different saves, I returned to Bangor City in Wales(loved my FM15 save with them). Things could not be better right now. Just had this match where my team scored 18 seconds in and had to wait until the 90th minute for the winning goal to keep my 100% record going. Never had a 100% record last this long to start a season.

    Thanks Tom Roberts:
    Spoiler

I'm sure the FM gods will now punish me for bragging about it and I'll be sacked by Christmas.

Also, lol at this guy getting sent off in the first minute of another match:

Off to a great start with Arsenal...
After 7 BPL matches we have 19 points with a 1-1 draw at Manchester City being our only non-victory.

In the CL we just upset Bayern Munich 2-1 at their place to get us the early lead in the group. They dominated every facet of the game but we somehow won.

All this despite at one point having 8 senior team members injured!

This might be one of my greatest achievements, in any FM game, ever.

Season 5 at AFC Wimbledon is in the books. Our first season in the Championship.

          We're staying up!

As you can see by the graph below, I started the season after two games thinking the Championship was going to be a breeze! Then reality hit. After a horrible run of results I was thrust squarely into a relegation battle. I spent a lot of the season toiling just outside the relegation zone, but I had a good run at the end, and was mathematically safe with 3 games to play. Pretty solid mid table finish.

My new stadium will be done shortly, ready for next season. It'll be nice to have more than 2,000 capacity to make some money on tickets! It was so nice getting the Championship money at the end of the season. I actually have money in the bank now! I got some new sponsors as well that give me a $400k increase next season, as well.

Going to try to have another mid table year next season as well. I really need to stabilize my financial situation before I can move up again.

I gave up the 2nd most goals in the league this season, so I need to fortify my defense, but I like the way my team is set up for next season.

At the time Hugo Lloris was my first choice keeper, so it was easy to see why Darlow was #2 Either way we had a bit of fixture congestion, so I decided to rotate my squad, fairly heavily against Watford, this was, and will remain my worst mistake as a Manager at Nottingham Forest. We lost heavily 5-1, and I lost it, after 3 costly mistakes led to goals, backup centreback Steven Taylor was released immediately after the game, brought in to mentor some of the kids and provide cover for the first team Taylor had been solid til this absolutely unforgivable, and appalling game. The number 27, will never be worn again as long as I am manager of Nottingham Forest due to the absolute shame Taylor brought to it in that appearance. I immediately demoted Darlow the U21s and transfer-listed him, he ended up leaving for 500k to Leeds United in January after never making an appearance again for the club. Jose Manuel Reina was brought in in January for 300k to provide cover for Hugo Lloris. Another person who played poorly was Denis Cheryshev, he also never made another appearance for Forest, and departed to HSV for an eventual £10m. I fined the entire starting XI for their poor performance in that game, debated quitting the job at Forest, but eventually hung on, we finished second to Chelsea by 4 points.
Well, for those whom remember this fiasco, I finally assigned the number 27 to someone, not at Nottingham Forest, mind you. But in the saves since then, I haven't even assigned that number due to my unbridled hatred for this performance.

I really, really hate that no matter how hard I try I keep coming back to this game that my girlfriend calls the "stupid moving dots game."I already have been on a rollercoaster ride of emotions watching my real teams play this year that adding more loops and dips will eventually lead to my early demise. There's no way I can stop though, I have to turn Keflavik into an Icelandic powerhouse and I must get Jamaica qualified for the World Cup. Here's to hoping that all happens before my first heart attack before I'm 30.

Well, I was two times the runner-up this season. Had a rough end to the season and Port Talbot ran away with the title. Also made it to the league cup final, but lost there.

The good news is finishing second means entering into the first qualifying round of the Europa League and we all know what that means...$$$

Upgrading from FM 13 to FM 16 next week .. what should I expect?

Bought it on Amazon since my steam account seems to be messed up , only way i can log in is offline but then it says something about no servers found hence I can't play none of my games . I swear this steam crap made me waste so much money and now I can't play none of my games (OOTP,Cities Skylines, FOF and a MMA text sim game)

I need my FM fix so bad!

They hired Sean Dyche instead of me.

No sir, 16 is my first go.

Curious if anyone has played this via Android...?

So, if I decide not to get 17, I assume there will be 'packs' with updated rosters for the 17 season, as well as the accurate schedules as well?

Whether I get it or not, why does this game come out so late (Nov. I believe?)?

                            Correct.

That's how it has always been since I started playing years ago. Which is fine though because it allows me to check out PES\FIFA before jumping into 17.

10 Preseason games seems like a ton, is that standard? I feel like the most I ever play is 5, maybe 6.
