Speaking of odd things I took over Arsenal after what would be one last year of Wenger in the game, and Southampton managed to pull this off -

Started my annual Liverpool save a few days ago. Last night I started Ben Woodburn up front against Leicester in the 4th round of the EFL Cup, and he scored in the 5-1 win, becoming Liverpool's youngest ever goal scorer. This beat real life by one round, as he actually did this in the quarters against Leeds this year.

Take that, Michael Owen, FM version.

Also, Lucas scored two unreal goals from outside the box, so match engine confirmed broken.

decided to try and replicate Wenger's 3 at the back tactic on FM after taking over in 2017/18. A few good signings and this is the lineup we're trotting out now:

It's been nice to have money and have great players, but it's also kind of boring just going into every game expecting to win. I imagine I'll get bored quickly, and move on to a Minnesota United save.

My thoughts exactly after my first season at Arsenal. I lost the league on goal difference but did win the FA Cup. It's insane how much the transfer budget is, and I actually regret some of the choices I made in terms of transfers.

I'm trying to figure out what to do next, and MLS is an option, but the contracts and what not seem like an absolute nightmare to understand.

This is what keeps me from playing an MLS save. I really how how the MLS is setup as a whole on the back end. Its pretty much the exact same setup as Australia. They are both nightmares.

Part of the reason I'm attracted to an MLS save again is because while the rules confused me the first time I did it, I think I have a better understanding of them now, and that was the beta, so now I also have the ability to use the in-game editor to hopefully remedy any really stupid save breaking mistakes I make due to a misunderstanding of the rules.

I had a blast with my FM13 MLS + USMNT save. I got the Sounders to win multiple Club World Cups, had a player make the FIFA team of the year, and I would sign 4* Brazilians, play them until they were US Citizens, then put them on the USMNT.

I got 3rd in a World Cup and in a Confederation Cup, but could never quite break through. I also sold a LB to the Premier League, where he immediately became youngster of the year and one of the best players in the EPL.

The biggest problem, at least with FM13, was that the MLS salary cap never improved, and neither did the quality of talent in the USA.

Playing as Newcastle at Southampton in the 4th round of the EFL cup. Not a total mismatch but we're really banged up so I wasn't expecting much. I go down 2-0 at halftime so decide to switch to my new 4-1-4-1 tactic I've been working on. Score twice in the second half and again in extra time to take a 3-2 lead. With 10 minutes left in extra time Darlow collects a cross and...

WTF Darlow?? Luckily he redeemed himself by saving a penalty so we moved on.

There are a couple goalkeeper bugs like this one that are totally unacceptable. They really stick out in an otherwise great match engine.

Interesting World Cup in my Journeyman save.

Croatia has a great run in the knockout round after finishing 2nd in their group of Switzerland, Mali, and Honduras. They beat Uruguay, Argentina, Belgium, and France to win the World Cup!

Well, for the first time EVER I requested more transfer funds to try and improve Minnesota United, and the board granted me 5.5m which is way above what I thought they would give me.
