Thanks for the answer, that's disappointing to hear. Was hoping to be able to play it the way I control every team in NBA 2K or in the Show. It's my biggest gripe with EA, they don't give you an easy way to control all the teams in a league, especially in FIFA, where you just can't.

I have just downloaded Zealands and it looks very nice for a dark skin I’m going to be rolling with this for the time being.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Quick question, I did try to find the answer elsewhere but was unsuccessful. I apologize if this gets asked a lot.
In FM 22 can I take control of the entire premiere league and basically act like the Owner of each team? Like hire and fire players/coaches and then sit back and watch certain games and just see how things play out year to year? Or can I only control one team at a time? Thanks for your time!
Technically, you could do this, but it would be very cumbersome. To use the Premier League as an example, you would have to create 20 managers and hire yourself at each club. Set them all to be unfireable. You would have to hire general managers at every club (not every club operates with one). Set your staff to automate several of the tasks, and download a skin that has the auto-resolve feature (which most do).
I remember doing this several versions ago where I role played myself as the Director of Football for the US Soccer Federation and controlled every MLS club, and had each club play the same style of football so that MLS was a feeder system for the national team.
God it was so cumbersome. It was fun in a sadistic way.
I don't recommend it, especially now that the game is MUCH deeper.Comment

If you buy the in-game editor, you can set yourself to be un-fireable.

I can't even imagine what a hassle that was to get through just one week. My god.

As I've gotten older I just get burned out controlling the same team game after game, season after season. I like skipping around to different teams based on styles and match ups. Thanks again for your thoughtful input.

Thanks for the detailed feedback. I guess I just need EA to rework the entire game so that I can play the way I want toI like being the commissioner where I can just play one game per week and see how the world pans out. Sometimes when I like to watch the game works develop on its own, I’ll play unemployed and just pick a “game of the day” or “games of the week” from whatever league interests me at the time.
Fun way to stay on top of the world without the responsibility of managing a team

How's everyone finding the new FM?, I've just spent the last hour sorting out my save, and looking at the squad, staff and finances! - Hoping to get at least 15 seasons done this FM! 10 seasons is my record!Comment

I am of course loving it. I do think that the match engine might need some work.
Headers/crossing seemingly is overpowered. Scoring heaps of them from all sorts of players..

Playing with Eibar, such a great story behind the club.
I suggest watching one of these videos, maybe both if you find it interesting.
Anyway, it's a small basque town with a club that miracolously got in the first division and stayed there for 7 years but they were relegated last year.
Great leadership behind the club, no debt, they really care about the money and really a inspiring cinderella story.
I am playing as Markel Susaeta, maybe you have heard of him, a well known ex Athletic Bilbao player who retired from football last year. He was born in Eibar.
Team info:
Spoiler
I signed 3 players, 2 transfers and 1 loan.
Gaizka Ayesa, 20 year old goalkeeper from Real Sociedad. I sold one goalkeeper who had a high wage and got a young basque goalkeeper who will be a first choice gk.
Spoiler
Oier Zarraga, 22 year old midfielder from Athletic Bilbao. Loaned him for a year, I sold one midfield player to Watford and needed another player to replace him, this basque will do the job.
Spoiler
And Anthony Lozano, I really needed a striker and this guy fits nicely. Got him from Cadiz, pressing forward, athletic player, expecting big things from him. Late signing, still hasn't played a game for me.
Spoiler
Here's the table after 3 matches, 3 wins, 2 home games, I won against Almeria, they got their suggar daddy and have the strongest team in segund in my opinion but managed to beat them 1-0 at Ipurua.

Always good to have a bit of narrative behind a save! - I've tossed a few save ideas around and at this stage I'm going with Union Berlin!.
Some great videos here on the club, the fans even built the stadium! (which is in a forrest)

Before the Copa90 derby days, this is the one I saw a few years before that always made me have a soft spot for them. (I assume there's some repeated content, but hey maybe someone wants to really binge.)

St.Pauli was my second option I also love what they stand for too!
I'll probably start a thread in the Dynasty section about my Union Berlin save as I have a personal FM blog but I don't think I'm aloud to link it here.
I've set a few rules for myself, The DOF is making all the transfers, and the Chief scout is in charge of all scouting assignments so I cant just go out and sign all the wonderkids! as I can only sign players my scouts find to make it more challenging - I'll tell my DOF who I want and he will "hopefully" get the deals done!
Would really like to see this FM Forum start to kick off a bit! it's such a great game and really good to see the different directions people take with their saves!Comment
