Maybe it's just me but the game seems better optimized this year, loading times seem quicker and it just runs better.
I don't want to draw too many conclusions yet, though I'm thoroughly enjoying my time so far, moreso than all of 19 which I just didn't get into as much as past FMs.

Started with Portsmouth, having so much fun, seems to me as I grow older I appreciate these kinds of games more, Football manager, Civ etc. 100 000 pounds transfer budget tho, signed Hutton on free, will try to get some guys on loan, maybe sign someone else for free and that´s it, according to the expectations I should reach at least the playoffs for promotion to the Championship so I will be fighting for the top of the table.

Yes it is playable in the sense that you can select it.


Things are working, semi-correctly, about as well as you could honestly hope with how complicated some of the rules are. For instance, because you start in January, your team won't be salary cap compliant if it made any summer signings because those count as 50% in real life, but will count 100% here.


Still a separate academy for MNUFC, they do not have a B team, so I can't confirm, but it appears to be the same as before.


Development Centre exists, it is not as useful as it is at other clubs because of the nature of MLS clubs/B Teams/Academies being separate.


I'll let you know when Youth Intake happens.


I cannot confirm 1-day loans, but it does not appear to be immediately possible.


GAM/TAM is 'working' about as well as one could hope, again with the convoluted rules system it's hard to implement it accurately, but so far it isn't as bad as it was in the past.

I read on a Miles Jacobson tweet that MLS B teams have been revamped. But it sounds like it’s the same lol.

The development centre seem like a great feature but it sounds like it will be useless for MLS because of the setup.

I can second this - it just seems a bit more smoother between screens? That being said, having a Dark skin and then having your inbox be a white screen is incredibly annoying.

Is there a way to add a shortcut to a screen on the menu bar on the left? The under 23s and under 18s squads button are hidden behind a couple more screens now.

B teams seem to work like other B teams now, I've simmed to mid-season and I was able to move a player to NYRB II. Of note, I've had issues moving him back to NYRB, but that might be down to my simming and not controlling the salary properly, as it is coming with a salary cap issue.

Is it not Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2020? Mine appears and I just copied over the graphics folder from the 2019 folder and everything updated.

That’s how it’s been the last 4 editions yeah! But there’s not one for 20!

If you try load a tactic or save a game, it should show you in game where the folders have ended up. I had something similar happen a few months ago with OneDrive which I'm still confused by!
