I generally have saves that go about 7 or 8 seasons before I get bored, but just by my first couple of saves and how development and club vision are looking, it might be the first one where I'll break into the 2030s. I've actually held off playing until the full game drops for this now.

Geez it's been a few years since I've poked my head around OS forums!
What's good fellas?, used to hang about these forums alot a few years back, under the name Aquaman_OS
Currently running a Beta save with Everton, sitting mid table in the 2019/20 season!
- sold Morgan Schniederlin to Leicester City for £8.25
- Re-invested the funds into Jarrod Bowen from Hull City £10.5 upfront rising to 20 with add ons over a few years
- Hull pulled out last minute becasue they didn't have a replacement player
...Good start to FM20! lol
Enjoyed FM19 alot, to be honest I thought it a very solid game, FM20 is pretty good so far!.
I think the new Development centre is a nice addition, Club vision is very cool.
But I don't like the new contracts screen!

We're in a slump, been using a 4-3-3 shifting to a 4-1-2-3 a times, Liverpool destroying the League!Last edited by Matty Aqua; 11-15-2019, 10:12 AM.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
First season with Hannover 96 in the books. I made no transfers. But my HotD signed twelve 15 year olds for the future, lol. And they are all developing nicely. I'd love to stick around and see how they develop, but that will take two season as you have to be 17 at the start of the season in Germany. And the main update drops on Tuesday for release. So I'll be starting a new save then. And there is no way I'm getting through 2-3 seasons over the weekend.
We had to play catch up with Hamburg all season until the end. And then only won the title because of our ludicrous goal difference.
I included Stuttgart because they were predicted to win the title this season with Hamburg in second and us in third place. Heidenheim really dropped off a cliff once their star midfield tore his ACL. Prior to that they looked unstoppable. They were projected to be relegated as well.
WTF. They board is only giving me 2.8M and are requiring a mid table finish in our first season up in the Bundesliga. Yikes.Last edited by Zac; 11-15-2019, 05:15 PM.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Does the club culture for every team include "Develop players using the club's youth system"? So far, I've only found a handful of clubs, like Macclesfield, that do not include this requirement. I figured developing players internally was a given...not sure I'd ever hear an owner and/or chairman say "Go buy me a bunch of players to win!".
For fun, has anyone tried playing as Southhampton? Their club culture has 7 different items to abide by.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Not in the newest one, but that's always the save I start with at full release
EDIT: This is the first time I've ever been dunked on THIS hard by a video game

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
The reasoning for not offering jobs seems to have changed in this iteration I think? I'm thinking it's the Club Vision addition, as you've now got traits in your manager profile too.
I think I like youth players.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Yeah, if you don't fit the clubs vision (how they want to play vs how you've been known to setup teams) they wont offer you the job. The talked about this a lot in the build up to the beta.
I'm really hoping tomorrow when the big update drops (or tonight), that the winger/wide player cutting in from the wing is fixed. They shoot 100% of the time. They never pass to the middle or cross it in. Its just side netting every damn time.

If the full release unlocks at midnight GMT, which it usually does, that would be 7 EST and 4 PST here in the states.
