Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
There's 5 features in case you missed them. Graphical improvements are whatever to me, as I don't play the game for it's 3d match engine graphics. But the new Development Center, Club Vision, Playing Time Pathway and more backroom staff roles really appeals to me as a general long-term save person, and gives me greater incentive to stick with a club instead of going job hopping.Support Local Sports

I can finally sign a couple of CBs for Arsenal.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I'm excited for these changes. I want it now. The youth/path stuff and the Club vision is something I've been asking for for a couple years on their forums now (along with thousands of others). So I'm very stoked to see that in action. They say more is to come in the next couple of weeks. But this is a very strong and promising start.

As someone who plays only in 2D, I couldn't care less about the graphic improvements either. And I'm still angry they removed classic 2D. The game is slower now with the new 3D stuff. And will continue to get slower for people not on high end PCs as they continue down this larger 3D path they assume everyone wants.

At the point of your other post, I too have been asking for years for a clearer youth->reserve->first team path for players, especially for the teams that need it. I really want to be able to start as a youth team manager at some point in the game's life, but I don't honestly see that happening any time soon.
I believe that these are the main features, and the rest of the announcements will be minor tweaks here and there. I was hoping for some more depth added to the tactics. I really want to be able to customize zonal marking schemes.Support Local Sports

Yeah, I understand that there's a majority of people that really want improvements to the graphics of the match engine, but I just do not care, they could delete it all and go back to 2d and i wouldn't miss it. I go back and forth on what I use, but most of the time I use the Data Analyst angle in 3d so I can map player movement a little cleaner.

Miles said a bit ago that everything to come is stuff that has been requested on their forums. So fingers crossed its some good stuff. It will be minor compared to what they just announced. But the small quality of life stuff gets me excited too.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
So in this save I've been slowly playing, I started with Barnet and then moved on to Hull. Got fired from Hull. And then ended up taking the Kobenhavn job. This is my first season with them. And this is what we just did in the Champions League.
I actually would have preferred to finish 3rd and drop down. But at the same time this is I think the best I've ever done in a group like that (quality of teams) with a lower tier team (non top ten leagues). This should give us a big coefficient boost for next season and hopefully move the league into the top 10 though.

It's that woeful time of the year where I feel a little bored playing FM, not because of the game, but because it feels a bit outdated, and I'm just waiting for FM20.
That means it's time to either download a custom database and do something weird, or sim 50 years in the future and figure out a career from there.Support Local Sports

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I'm very disappointed with those personally. Of all the things that have been asked for on their site for the last 5 years, this is what they gave us? And have touted them as things people asked for? I've never seen a single one of these things in the request forum. Which I visit almost daily.
First of all, two of these "changes" aren't even a changes at all. The first they just finally fixed how busted and lame end of season team talks were. All they did was change the wording to match the new objective system. This isn't its own feature, its part of the other and a fix. Not really something to tout as its own thing.
The responsibility screen was re-arranged. Not a feature or a quality of life change. Its exactly the same, just a different way of displaying it. And they added one new option.
Getting an email about jobs in your inbox isn't if you have no job isn't new. It just looks different now (graphical change). Not a feature or a quality of life change in my opinion. Who doesn't constantly look at the Job Security screen when you don't have job anyways?
The advice during team meetings one, they showed the wrong screen shot. Nothing new in that screen shot at all from past games. And why would I want my staff advice for start of the season team talk anyways? I know what the board expect for the season, and that is what I'm telling the team I expect of them. I don't care what the assistant thinks about that.
This is all pretty weak to me. I was expecting better, and honestly at this point more of an update.

I’m logged my most hours with FM19 since FM13, when I was a junior in college.
