I'm hoping that once again there are rumors swirling next year about us signing Neven Subotic, because that would make me insanely happy. Perhaps rumors of us being interested, not signing. You know what I mean. I want him in red.

    I imagine you as well.

Man I hope Wenger allows Vela to leave. He should have left him go a year, he's really stunted his growth.

I disagree that Wenger has stunted Vela's growth. It's not as if Vela hasn't had opportunity to show why he deserves a regular spot in the rotation. It's that every opportunity Vela has had he has failed to make any sort of impact. Vela wasn't sent out previously because he was a guy Wenger thought he could use as an attacking sub, but every time he came on last year he was mostly terrible. He's lucky he wasn't transferred off the team in the off season. I support the loan move to Bolton, but I'm not optimistic that it will do much. I hope Vela proves me wrong, though.

          Arsene didn't stunt Vela's growth.

          Vela just sucks.

            Laughable.

If he had playing time, he'd be able to showcase his talent. His first season at Arsenal, he was ****ing electric in the Carling Cup.

Vela just plateaued after that first season Acid. He got hurt and all, but he hasn't impressed me for 2 years now. I think he'd do better in Spain TBH although I do want him to be successful at Arsenal

I really don't think we can make a firm judgement on him considering the insane lack of playing time he's had. I wouldn't really care if he went somewhere else at this point, because he's basically non-existent on the squad, but I think it's far too early to make definitive statements about his overall talent.

Seriously, a string of games in the Carling Cup is all you have to go on?

                  Enough said.

Wenger has given him chance after chance in the league and he has been pretty crappy every time he has been brought on. He is young but a side from that I have seen nothing out of him that makes me think he is Arsenal quality. I mean the kid can't even make the subs bench anymore. That tells you all you need to know.

                    Ahh..little nervous about this one.

An unsung hero in the Chelsea beatdown was the fact that Gunners went down on the lightest shove from Chelsea's bigger guys. This went a long way in negating that physical advantage, and seemed to frustrate them a bit. We'll probably see the same against City. Thing is tho, that strategy relies on the officials, and if the refs aren't buying the flops this time around, it could get ugly. Cant track back when you're constantly on your butt with your hands in the air.

I think that's his point, he gets CC appearance, has a decent showing/s, then for the next 6 PL games, he might get 10 minute runout. He's not giving a chance.

                        Of course I'm bias though

Young guys like Vela has to use whatever time they get on the pitch to make an impression. He has gotten just as much of a chance as Wilshere or Ramsey he just hasn't impressed like those guys.

Wenger can't take a chance on putting a guy like Vela in the starting XI with the way he has performed when brought on. What I'm saying is the level of competition is a lot stiffer in the league than the Carling Cup.

Manchester City seriously are a sickening sight to watch. I'm really not bothered by the result itself, but the way City chooses not to play football.

They will never win a championship in this league with those tactics, so they should give it up now.

Man Matrix, how the hell can you stomach that every time city plays a team with a pulse?

By the way, I loved how Cesc called Mancini out after the game.
