Looks like a hard offer was made for Bendtner...makes sense.

From his Dad: "I know that Sporting have made a concrete offer to Arsenal for Nicklas, but I do not know if they accepted it,” he told Sporten.dk. “I do not know any details about the offer."

The other place he's been rumored to go to is Dortmund, but with them having Barrios, Lewandowski and Zidan, I just don't see it happening. (unless they sell Barrios)

So, Lisbon could just be where he ends up.

Rosell's comments are absurd. We should come back and just ask them to do a straight swap for Messi. "Sure he was untouchable last year in the transfer market, but a year has passed so the wear and tear on him drops his worth to that of Fabregas'."

As for our summer so far, I'm a bit disappointed we have no signings. I know we like to make sure we don't overspend and all that, but we need to show our players that we want staying (like Nasri and Cesc) that we are very serious about the 40M we are going to spend.

Anybody think we should bring in Upson on the cheap now that he would be a free transfer? I think it wouldn't be horrible to add him as a League or FA Cup CB. He would provide more experience to pair with Djourou or Koscielny and would probably be a better option than Squillacy. All that said, I don't mean for that to replace the glaring need for us to still get a new partner for Vermaelen. It would just add a bit more depth and experience for our struggling defense.

I'm confident we'll start seeing some business soon. Remember, we're a club that doesn't do our business in public and I'm sure there is A LOT going on behind closed doors that we don't know about.

Exactly. Arsenal have had many signings come out of left field because they're (for good reason) so secretive about things. And I know there are mixed feelings about Gervinho, but it's looking more and more like he will sign soon.

Samir Nasri has told fans not to listen to all the rumors about his future.

League fixtures for next season released. Let's exercise some demons early at Newcastle. Second game, Liverpool. Third game, United. Good way to start great or horribly.

I'd say 4 points from those first three...lowering the expectations at the start might not be the worst thing in the world. We clearly haven't executed for a full season and with CL qualifiers in that time, the focus will be split at best.

I'm going to wait and see who goes and who comes in and what kind of formation we use in preseason. Far too early for me to guess. At least Newcastle lost Nolan, so that is one less prick we have to deal with.

You must be quaking in your boots at the prospect of lining up against Demba Ba!

Well if we don't have TV5 alongside a new a great partner, some of us will be.

I have a feeling it'll be Samba. Cahill is just too damn expensive.

I just was on Samba's Wikipedia page and he is already listed as not only an Arsenal player, but as the captain as well haha.

                                Joey Barton to Arsenal?
