I read that article....whatever. Someone else likes Barca's play - don't we all?

Anyway, according to skysports, Wenger is keen to do all his transfer business before the world cup. Arsene, let's hope your transfer business include the following:

    1. Signing a GOOD Goalkeeper and getting rid of Fabianski and Almunia
    2. Signing 2 Central Defenders who aren't in the twilight of their careers
    3. Signing Chamakh or a tall, strong striker to cover in case of injuries
    4. Keeping Cesc Fabregas at Arsenal!!!

If he accomplishes this, I will be very happy

If we do all four of those, I honestly feel like we'd be a real threat to win the league next season.

I'd be happy with that, but I'd prefer it if one of those central defenders was replaced with a left back, so there can be adequate cover when (not if) Clichy gets injured.

At the pace Arsene handles transfers. I find it hard to believe that he gets all his targets in place by the start of the World Cup. Unless of course he is only planning on signing one or two guys. Which could very well be the case.

            Hugo Lloris???

I like Song, but I feel like an elite defensive mid is a must in 4-3-3. Toulalan might be a good fit

See I think Song has done well this season and only going to get better. Toulalan would be solid, but he shouldn't be our top priority. I'd love to have Lloris, but that's not happening. If you believe the rumours, we're in for Frey - he's 30 years-old now, but he'd be a definite upgrade over the 2 we currently have now

I do hope Arsene gives Nordtveit a chance next year. He's a good prospect and I think he's almost ready to be at Arsenal next season

Just my thoughts. Overall, I gotta say that even though we haven't won anything in a few years, I like this team a lot and believe that we will win the league within the next couple of seasons. We're not far apart from Man United or Chelsea. We just need to add a couple of faces and stop making errors in big games.

When you think about Diaby's own goal header against Man Utd., some of the GK blunders, etc., this season could have turned out a whole lot differently.

The guy most responsible for the lack of Arsenals success this year goes by Giorgio Chiellini

I hate bringing it up with friends, especially those who support ManU and Chelsea, but they at least see the point that I try and make when I tell them imagine most of the season without Rooney or Drogba. It's an incredible impact.

2-1 loss to Blackburn...pathetic. If we lose against Fulham, and Spurs win their next two, we'll actually drop down to fourth. Plus, if we lose both, and Man City win their next two, we'll stay in fourth, but be level on points with City. Wow.

I hope we can at least pick up a point against Fulham.

Fabianski once again contributes to another loss for us with his inability to handle set pieces....get a keeper Arsene!!!!!

I think Arseblogger hit the nail on the head, as he often does, in the wake of a questionable effort against Blackburn (at least according to him). I couldn't watch the game, so I can't say too much about this game, but his overall point sums up the state of the Gunners quite well:

This is the team that Arsene has built. He needs to rebuild it for next season. Add physicality, add players who hate to lose, like Vermaelen, like Cesc, like van Persie. Get rid of the ones who think it's ok to stroll around a Blackburn pitch when we still need points this season to make sure of third place. It's not just about a player's talent, it's about his attitude and application. You don't learn much about that when things are going well, you sure as **** do when the chips are down. We've learned a lot in recent weeks.

I agree. There hasn't been a sense of urgency since the Barca game. We blew a 2-0 lead at Wigan, drew against Man City, and dropped another 3 points at Blackburn. I think we need to get some steel this summer....

I think picking up GiGi Buffon (who has said that he is interested in going to England) would be a prudent move for Arsenal. Some of these goals are just bs.

That story just made my day. It appears as if Arsene is serious about buying a keeper.

I'm not getting my hopes up about Buffon, but that would be fantastic.
