Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***

I just want us to start winning again. It's no fun watching us lose to Spurs and Wigan following our CL elimination. I really really hope RVP starts this weekend.

As for Hart, Sky Sports is reporting he'd go at 8 million possibly. See, I think City won't be asking for the moon at this point. Like I said, they're interested in Buffon and they have the resources to get him.

Anyhow, based on Hart's play this season, he'd be a definite upgrade over Almunia/Fabianski.

Plus Hart is English, right? If Platini & Co ever push through their 6/5 proposal, a native 'keeper would be almost a necessity for Arsenal.

I'm like you in thinking that we should be able to get Hart cheaper from Citeh than if he were someplace else. I think Citeh undervalues a guy like Hart because he isn't a big name.

They would rather have a guy who can't stay on the pitch instead.

Yeah, the fans will definitely let him know how they feel.

I read there will be a ceremony before the game, in which he lays still on the ground, and each our starting eleven will rake their studs across his face.

Hopefully that includes RVP in the starting eleven.

But really, he thought he was being treated bad before from a few thousand away fans, how will he handle it multiplied by sixty?

Another uninspired performance today from the Gunners. Though Mancini basically played 10 behind the ball for basically the entire game. Arsenal went back to the old staple of trying to pass the ball into the goal.

I loved the Viera for Adebayor swap. Seeing Patrick leave the pitch to a thunderous applause followed by Ade recieving a boo bath. I think that really showed him that if he wouldn't have been such a **** and left the club the right way, he too would have recieved an ovation. Probably not to the extent of Patrick but I'm sure he would've been applauded.

The minute by minute on the Guardian said this was one of the worst games played this season. Anyone agree or disagree? I'm considering sitting down and watching it, but if Man City did in fact put ten behind the ball, then I have no patience to see us walk into tackles all game.

Its not worth your time. This was the first time ever that I actually considered changing the channel during an Arsenal game.

I don't think there were 5 good chances the entire game.

Manchester City under Mancini has led to the two worst games I've seen as a fan this season. Today's game and the Liverpool game.

It was probably the worst 98 minutes I have ever watched.

                          Wow.

Well, based on those thoughts, I skipped it. I even skipped highlights, although I would like to see RVP's tackle on Adebayor and RVP's free kick attempt. Hmm, perhaps it's time for highlights.

Are you trying to get a job in the British press with that vague headline that could reference a player who the article isn't referring to?
