Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***
Just curious. In my opinion he in the same bracket as Sir Alex Ferguson. Unsackable (Is that a word? LOL!) The only way he ever leaves the club is if he resigns.Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***
The only way he ever leaves Arsenal is under his own terms. The guy will be associated with Arsenal in some form or fashion until he dies or feels that its time to move on. Whether it be as manager or some other front office role when he feels its time to give up coaching."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***
Never. He's the one responsible for the successes of the club since he started managing.
He's improved the fitness and diets of players, started the flow of European players to the Premier League and of course, signs some of the best kids out there. It doesn't hurt that he plays a style everyone loves to watch
I do worry a little about his contract expiring and him not coming back because he, likie Sir Alex, are legendsComment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***
Well, a United loss would've been just huge for us today. But, with Chelsea losing, it's still amazing to see that after a win tomorrow, we're only three points behind them. Just imagine how huge a point would've been at Spurs. Wow.
I still want to believe that we can finish on top, but I just don't think it's feasible. We need a few more big surprises. At least a second place finish shows improvement.
Once again, there's talk that we have 30 million to spend, and I think this just might be the Summer that we spend it.
Plus, Arsene and Sol are sitting down to talk about a contract for next year. I think we must keep him. His performance at Spurs was incredible, and as Arsene said, it was as if would've killed himself out there to win. We need more of that spirit.Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***
I think so too. Sol is getting on and is more like a depth player, but his experience and leadership should help.
I really really hope we see a new keeper because neither Almunia or Fabianski are No.1 goalkeepers. I'm keeping my fingers crossed on that oneComment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***
i know you guys are disappointed, but if you put this season in perspective, it was a rather large success.
Not only were there tons of injuries, but it seemed most believed the Arsenal squad was too young and simply not of the caliber to do much of anything...it was assumed they would drop out of the top 4...
yet there was general league and champions league success.
with all of that, i think Arsene deserves some hefty praise. He has led his squad of youngsters and 2nd choicers to threaten for the EPL title...bravo.Australian Rules Football...just sayin'Comment

While I want to realize that we proved many people wrong this season, by staying in the top four, after watching that game and seeing us lose it, all I can think of is pathetic.
By losing, I don't meaning lose the game, I mean losing the lead, losing our heads, etc.
I keep seeing numbers floating around in terms of what we have to spend. 30 million, 45 million.
Think we could buy a heart for each player with that much money?Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***
I'd be fine with Hart - he's had a solid season at Birmingham and with rumours of City trying to sign Buffon now, even better
Having said that, I'm completely upset after today. I watched that game and wondered what happened.
The team stopped playing after 2-0 and that's why we lost. Yes, Fabianski made yet another stomach churning blunder, but the team played like utter crap and Wigan played well.
If Wenger doesn't see now that we need to get a goalkeeper, I don't know what else to say. Neither Fabianski nor Almunia are top flight keepers. Almunia is either brilliant or brutal and Fabianski is just terrible. When you can't even make a routine catch, you can leave.Comment

Hopefully next week we can put them in their place.
By that, I mean RVP scrapping off Adebayor's face with his studs.Comment
