apparently Eduardo could go for around 5-6 million pounds. Which is pretty good considering we paid 7.5 million for him. It's a shame, before the injury he was a good striker. One of the best finishers in the league.

If someone will give us 5 million pounds you sell no questions asked.

Absolutely, and you'd have to be foolish to offer the Gunners that much.

It looks like the Fabregas rumors were just that, rumors, which is good, because even though I expect he'll go to Barca one day, I'll still be disappointed when it happens.

I'm about in the camp that Arsenal needs to say to Barca. "Look, you give us 60 million pounds and you can have the player. If not then lay off of him until you have the funds. And everytime you do mention him to the press, the price is gonna keep going up."

I know it wouldn't work. Because these guys were dealing with are complete slimeballs. Hopefully the next president isn't as much of a douchebag as Laporta has been.

I hope he stays for at least one more season and I do hope these rumours die down and he comes out and tells us that he's happy at Arsenal and wants to stay...end of story and life goes on

We've now been linked to Courcuff. While I doubt the rumors are true, that would be awesome. Let's just poach all of Bordeaux's best players.

                From Sporting Life

Atletico Madrid have confirmed the capture of young midfielder Fran Merida on a four-year contract.
Merida has been at Arsenal since 2006, having previously been part of the youth set-up at home-town club Barcelona, but his deal with the Gunners expires on June 30.
The 20-year-old will be presented by the Europa League champions at 1230 local time on Friday at the Vicente Calderon stadium.

Not surprising at all. I wish we could hold onto him, as he looks at have a good future, but he wants regular playing time, something we can't give him.

who exactly is "overrating" arsenal? i am curious who has picked arsenal, besides die hards, to win the league the past few years. so, overrate you mean they are not better than spots 7-4? you think spurs, cithee, pool, villa are better?

what a strange comment - must just be emotional for being called out as a racisit, though xeno is more app.

Respecting that he has a contract with his club would be nice but clearly to talk about respect when you and half your team have done exactly the opposite is a bit much. Cesc's 'Barca DNA', the constant stream of stories from players, management and senior officials at Barcelona, the way they're trying to drive down the price of the player by using these tactics and the fact they haven't shut their f***ing mouths about this since time immemorial show that respect is a word they simply fail to understand.

I suspect the more they talk the more intransigent Arsenal will become and even though it might drag this saga out for longer than we might like (or, indeed, long enough that we might like it), I'd be fully supportive of them in this regard. We've had to put up with this kind of bollocks from Barcelona time and time again. We had it with Overmars, we had it with Thierry Henry and now we've got it with Cesc. And frankly it's really f***ing annoying. I mean, they even did it to Hleb, a player they had absolutely no need for and while I was glad enough to see him go the point remains.

They waltz in, tap up our players, behave like arrogant, holier-than-thou c*nts and then have the balls to talk about 'respect'? Idiots.

Arseblogger did not pull any punches today when describing his love of Barca's press tactics, but he's absolutely right.
