Well the good news there is that Denilson is apparently not leaving! His agent came out and said he plans on being at preseason and that there are no negotiations for him to go elsewhere, which is to be expected because who would want to sign that awful player.

The first line is pure, cruel sarcasm.

If what I heard on FOX Soccer last night, is true, Barca made a new bid of 56M for Cesc.

          I lol'd.

The yearly Cesc saga is turning into the Favre story of EPL. I just want it to go away.

Seems like Clichy and Nasri are going to be signed away by the Manchester clubs...

I wouldn't trust a thing on Nasri until he tweets about it. Seriously.

City are denying signing Nasri and last night someone randomly stated he was going to United and it spread like fire. It's ridiculous and at this point my money is still on him resigning for a ton of money and saying he's always loved the club.

Clichy is going it seems (£7 million to City) and I think we all agree that Gibbs is not prepared to step in. However, I have a bad feeling that is what we'll be doing.

Yeah, it's ridiculous how quickly things spread. These tabloids want to drive viewers to their sites and they do it through sensationalistic and made-up transfer stories. I mean, I've read everywhere from 30-45 million for Cesc, with each tabloid site having "sources in the know," and each site stating a completely different number, when all we know is that Arsenal have said they'll have to sell if Barca meet the Gunners' valuation of the player. That valuation sure as hell isn't 30 million, and it shouldn't even be 45 million.

The Nasri to United stories start to get old, so they drum up a new team with the money to sign Nasri. Not saying City haven't made an offer or an inquiry, but I won't believe anything unless it comes from a reputable site or straight from Arsenal/the player.

All I know is that if we lose both Cesc and Nasri leave it will be catastrophic to this club. I don't see how the fans won't revolt on the club especially after the club have once again raised ticket prices.

I don't know what kind of world the board is living in if they think signing Gervinho, Alvarez, and Oxlade-Chamberlain is going to make up for losing your best two players. Its going to be up to the supporters to make a stand.

If these City rumors do have legs than it is going to be impossible to sign Nasri to a contract. He isn't going to turn down a chance at the kind of payday that he will surely get by going to City.

Which is why you don't sell Cesc. He's not the type of player to spend the season pouting, and if Cesc is staying, that gives further incentive for Nasri to do the same thing.

This would just be terrible. We already have problems in Defense (although I would let Clichy go), and this would leave a glaring gap in our midfield as well. Wilshere has played well, Ramsey still hasn't convinced me, and Song is Song. I would have been able to accept losing Fabregas and keeping Nasri, just to get the money to buy a few top-tier players and end this saga. Instead, it looks like we may be forced to sell 2 of our 3 best players, and are too afraid to splash the cash we have. Needless to say, I'm very, very nervous right now.

Whoever made the comment before about our team keeping a bottom line rather than being aggressive in the pursuit of trophies was correct, sadly.

I would love to see Leighton Baines come in if Clichy does leave. Also, I'm curious what it would take to pry away a GK like Mandanda from OM. I just hope the club isn't afraid of spending the money we have.

Just another random thought here as well. If we did keep Cesc, does anyone else get the feeling we will at least hold onto him until his contract comes out due to fair play rules keeping teams from splashing cash to sign him?

The more I look and read about our situation the more I think were screwed.

I think Wenger had no clue that the Summer was going to unfold the way it has and now he has no idea what to do. It really does feel like there is no way this doesn't end badly for us.

Yeah, we could lose Cesc or Nasri and escape, but if we actually lose both and don't replace Clichy, we're how do you say...****ed.
